  • Aallotrar was locked on to the dragon so getting away before he took off was impossible. She wished she was larger so he couldn't have to easily taken off with her. When he started screeching and releasing fire she became even more furious ice forming in the corners of her mouth. She watched in horror as Elek tried to jump to the side but, was hit by a blast as he dragged the flames along the ground. Luckily Elek wasn't hit with the full front of the blast but, there was a large hole in his leather armor down his back with a line of charred black flesh. Gasping in pain he fought to stay on his feet. She was so distracted by the fact that Elek had been hurt she didn't have time to protect herself from the fire blast. It hit her full on in the chest. Letting out a cry of pain Aallotar released her grip and fell down towards the Earth disappearing into the sandstorm.

Elek heard the scream of agony and looked up just in time to see Aallotar plummeting from the sky and then disappearing into the clouds of sand out of sight. "You have a whole lot of nerve you know that." He spat and kicked sand on to part of the fire surrounding her. Out here in the dessert the flames couldn't survive long. "And what if Dynni comes first what then? There's no mercy." He spat dragging his ax across the sand. The pain kept him from lunging at her even through the flames.

  • "Then I'll be glad to die for my kingdom," Vophi spat, watching the dragon plummet to the earth. Nilanth's roar of triumph left ringing in her ears, and covering them she watched the human nearing her, and hissing softly she backed up towards the wall of flame behind her. Was she afraid to die? No. Did she want to die? No. That was why she was backing up, and staring at her hovering companion, Vophi shouted his name yet again. "Nilanth!" She cried, catching the dragon's attention. She didn't notice how far he was until now, and swallowing harshly Vophi backed up until she could feel the heat practically scorch her back, and staring up at them she bared her teeth and held her daggers in a defensive position, ready to strike if need be. She was acting more like an agitated dragon than a sophisticated creature. "B-Back off a-and maybe Ynnit will have mercy on you and your companion," she hissed, mentally cursing her nervous stutter. She was much shorter than this human, so she had the right to feel nervous. Twirling one dagger to switch it's position she growled softly, her gaze shifting to Nilanth, who was slowly gaining ground. She could see the rage on his face from here, and the flames on his muzzle only made his fury more apparent. "If his claws scraped you, you might want to retreat," she stated, trying to distract him while her companion made his way over. The flames in front of her were dying, but those behind were still burning bright.

Screams of surprise erupted in the air as large rocks fell from the spire: Dynni was on the move. She expected the two to be back ages ago, and they hadn't returned! Hissing in an annoyed manner, the empresses parted her jaws in a metallic screech, and diving head-first into the sand she burrowed into the earth. The whole kingdom shook as she slithered underground, but the tremors started to soften as she made her way across the desert. They were very far away, so even the snake empress would take quite a long time to arrive.

The sudden shriek in the distance caused Vophi to freeze up: Dynni was coming. Stomach churning with dread she remained crouched on the ground, one hand on the sand to keep her steady while the other was poised to attack. Her eyes were drawn to the ax he had with him, and wincing when she thought of what damage it could cause she subconsciously backed up further, hissing in surprise due to the sudden heat engulfing her ankle and retracted it immediately. There was no where to go but forward, and she did not want to do that. Instead, she remained still, waiting to strike. Her blades might pierce his armor, and she could always aim for the face if need be.

(Just some sound and size references (8:50 for Dynni[dalamadur]). I also enlarged Ynnit[amatsu] quite a bit)

  • Elek spat on the ground sneering a bit. "And why would he do that?" He snorted and when he eyes shifted he knew her dragon was coming. The fight had slowed him down but, she was sure he was coming and would probably torch him right on the spot. He chuckled and turned around the look at the dragon. "I'm dead man either way." The pain in his chest was almost unbearable that Wyvern must have gotten him with some kind of poison. Sighing he pointed his ax. This was probably it for him. Just then a sound came from a distance off like the whole earth was shifting. Nynni was on her way and she was angry for sure. Looking back towards the girl he shrugged slightly. "I think humans are about to become extinct again." He said bitterly. He was probably going to die of poison and she probably wasn't going to make it back to her king in one piece.

An ice blast came from behind her but, instead of hitting her it doused the flames around her. A large sharp tail fin appeared extremely close to Vophi's throat. The dragoness narrowed her dark eyes chest heaving heavily. It was black and was oozing out. Aallotar narrowed her eyes at the Wyvern. "Do really want to make this to the death? We end it now we might all come out alive." She hiss her face above the girl. If Elek died then so would his precious human.

  • Nilanth was hovering right above the Western human, but his focus was on the dragon: if she even twitched Vophi's throat would be slit and her life would be over. If she did end up killing Vophi, he'd take her human as well. Hissing lowly Nilanth landed onto the ground with a soft thud, and he placed his clawed foot on the human's back, his toes curling around their shoulder. "I don't suggest killing her," he growled, his eyes gesturing to the human in his grasp. "My claws have grazed him, and therefore he is poisoned, and my friend over there," he gestured to Vophi with his muzzle, "is the only one who knows how to create an antidote. Trust me, your best healers wouldn't be able to save him." Lowering his head, Nilanth leaned forward and tilted his head, baring his teeth. "And after he is dead, I'll kill you, if Dynni doesn't end your life first. None of us will survive: I cannot live without her due to the toxins that course through my blood," he ended his statement with a hiss, and looking down at the girl, he lowered his ears and offered her an apologetic look. Then, his attention was drawn back to the other dragon, and his grin returned. "Your human doesn't have much time, so make your choice: kill her now or let her go so she can save your human."

Vophi could feel her blood trickle down her neck due to how sharp the tail blade was, and for a moment Vophi was impressed. However, the moment didn't last long, and the heavy scent of the dragon's blood was starting to make her dizzy. However, she could still understand Nilanth's words, and sheathing her daggers with shaky hands she curled her fingers around her spear. Her movements weren't aggressive, and instead were cautious. Nilanth had a saddle of sorts on his back, and attached to the saddle were various bags, one on which had quite a few vials of the antidote she crafted. She'd need the spear to get up there. Swallowing harshly, Vophi unlatched the dagger and brought it to her side, holding it horizontally so she appeared docile. Her eyes were focused on the human before her, and for a split second she glanced up at Nilanth. Did she mind having to help the human? Not at all. Why? Well, she'd never admit it to anyone, but she felt sort of bad for them. He was beaten, charred, and poisoned. She, on the other hand, was perfectly fine. Tugging at her cloak with her free hand she stared down at her feet, which were steadily sinking into the sand.

  • Elek hissed in pain as if he wasn't in enough already. If he made it out of this alive then he would certainly not be able to move for a week or two. Looking at Aallotar he already knew what she was going to do. She by nature as a Longwing was already not the most aggressive types of dragons to begin with. The white dragoness looked at the dagger in the girl's hand she narrowed her eyes making it clear if that stayed out she wouldn't believe that they would actually heal him. When the dagger was slowly put away she seemed to calm a bit. "You clearly are not very familiar with Longwings, we don't spill unnecessary blood." In a slow movement her tail blade was pulled away from the girl's throat and laid her tail down in the shifting sand. Narrowing her eyes at the girl she flicked her tail. "If you let him die I will hunt you down and will repay the favor." She snapped lashing her scythe like tail that was still stained slightly red on the edges. Her dark eyes narrowed and her teeth were bared as she looked at the Wyvern. "Let him go." She said in a voice twinged with anger.

It was very clear Elek wasn't doing well. His face was very pain and his eyes glazed over and staring off at nothing. Aallotar was shaking in rage and fear. She didn't want to loose her brother not like this. She was supposed to protect him. She let all this happen. She should have protected him better. She moved closer to the young man speaking quietly to him. Whatever she was saying made him smile a bit despite the poison and pain. She nudged him softly with her muzzle trying to support him even though he was as limp as a rag doll.

  • Nilanth simply let the boy go, but was clearly surprised when he just fell. Quirking a brow, the wyvern jumped back when the dragoness approached the human, and staring down at him he raised one corner of his lip. Vophi, free from the blade, snapped at Nilanth for not being careful and furrowed her brows. "Did you really have to drop him! We want him to live, right?"

She didn't even bother rubbing her neck when the blade was gone: instead she rushed over to Nilanth's side and pulled herself onto his back with her spear, rummaged through his various saddlebags, and tugged off the one containing the antidotes. "How many claws?" She stated, receiving a "two" in reply from the wyvern who settled onto the ground, tucking his legs underneath him. Cautiously, Vophi pulled out two cylindrical vials of a semi-transparent liquid and a device which looked a like a modern-day syringe. Placing the first vial in its respective slot she hesitantly reached forward and examined the rips and tears in his armor, looking for the telltale sign of Nilanth's poison. It didn't take long for her to locate the source: a large claw-like tear in his armor gave Nilanth access to his flesh, and a decently sized slash was the toxin's gateway. "T-This is going to hurt..." she mumbled, then cringed, asking herself if she really just said that. How worse could his situation be? She highly doubted a sharp prick would be too unbearable. "Sorry," she quickly apologized, and, wincing, jabbed the sharp point into his shoulder and pushed down on the plunger, then repeated the same process with the second vial. It was essential for Vophi to learn how to treat wounds and such: she had the finesse no dragon could dream about having when it came to this sort of thing. Biting down on her bottom lip, Vophi tied a small green string around the needle and stashed the items back into the bag, and standing back up she approached Nilanth and fastened the bag back onto his saddle. Taking one large vial out of the bag before she closed it, Vophi opened it and poured the contents down Nilanth's throat, who grumbled softly and cringed due to the taste. Staring at the two, Vophi still felt kind-of guilty, and glancing at her bags again she sighed quietly.

"Vophi, what are you doing?" Nilanth hissed, staring at the three bags Vophi had unfastened and was currently picking back up. Staring at him for a few moments, she narrowed her eyes, frowning. "Making sure all of us return home alive," she snapped, and hesitantly took a seat in the same spot as before, opening the bags once they were set at her side. Various bandages and such could be seen inside of the bags, and grumbling softly when the wind started to buffet her things, Vophi beckoned Nilanth over. "Make yourself useful and block the wind, please," she hummed, earning a grumble from the wyvern as she shuffled over, spreading his wings and shielding her things from the wind. Something about this felt off, both of them knew it. Helping those of the West? If Ynnit found out...she shuddered at the thought. Pulling out a few necessary items, Vophi looked down at the human, and frowning subtly she poked him right between the eyes, trying to catch his attention. "Hey, are you still with me? You need to be awake."

  • "I'm sure dropping him helped matters." She snapped using her nose to push him into a laying position. Lashing her tail she glared at the Wyvern.

Aallotar staid very close frowning when she pulled out a sharp piece. She bared her teeth but, didn't move to stop her. Lashing her tail she watched the girl's every move with intense dark eyes. If Elek died it mattered little to her if she herself died. When the first needle went in Elek almost sat straight up reacting to the deep pain. The dragoness stifled but, calmed as he laid back down. The young man man muttered something under his breath. Honestly, this was probably the most embarrassing thing to happen to him. If Nynni found out what Aallotar had done letting the other human live and having him injured the desert would make her beyond furious. He did sit straight up after the second needle though and had an unpleasant scowl on his face. After the pain from the injections had started to wear off he slipped back down and started to close his eyes. The girl and Wyvern were talking but, all he could hear was a very fuzzy and distant noise. As he started to drift off Aallotar couldn't stand being idle anymore. "I'm going on look out." She muttered and opened her winds shooting off into the now calmer sky. If Nynni was coming she needed to know how far the Empress was.

Elek startled awake as she poked him. "Let me sleep." He muttered like she was annoying fly. He started to close his eyes again. It wasn't his fault he was sleepy. He was in terrible pain and felt sick from the effects of the poison. He turned a looked up at her briefly. "Why even bother helping?" He muttered still drifting between the waking and sleeping worlds.

  • Vophi frowned at his response and narrowed her eyes, puffed out her cheeks and crossed her arms, clearly annoyed. "You need to be awake for this! If something happens and you're asleep you could die, and I wouldn't even know!" She huffed, flicking him in the same spot before rummaging through her bags again, she pulled out another roll of bandages and set them to the side. Now that the dragoness was gone, she felt safer and a bit more confident. She didn't even notice the little crimson trickles running down the pale skin of her neck. Nodding in Nilanth's direction, the wyvern lowered his head with a grumble and nosed his muzzle under the human's back, propping him up so Vophi could work. "Nilanth! The burn-..." Vophi started, then sighed, furrowing her brows again. "Just...don't move, okay?" she instructed, and the wyvern replied with another grumble. "Why are we helping him again?" he growled, his tail lashing and wings twitching. "It's the least I could do after what you did to him!" She snapped back, shooting a glare the wyvern's way. Clearly, both parties forgot that there was a third. "He was attacking! What was I supposed to do, let you die!?" Nilanth squawked, baring his behind the human's back. "W-What, no! You didn't have to go all...psycho on him though! We talked about this!" Vophi groaned, rubbing her temples in her free hand while she picked up one roll of bandages in the other. Turning her attention back to her 'patient', Vophi froze, realizing he probably heard their little dispute. Flushing subtly due to the embarrassment, she growled softly and shook her head, gritting her teeth. Now that they weren't trying to kill each other, Vophi seemed a bit more friendly. Not by much, though, and narrowing her eyes she flicked him again just to make sure he was still awake. "Still awake?" Vophi hummed, then tugged lightly on the chest armor he was wearing. "This needs to go, unless you fancy the idea of dying of infection or something," she stated, her expression blank and sort of annoyed. Sort of.

    ---

Dynni's head breached the surface of the sand when she felt the storm had settled, which only meant one thing. Ynnit had been here, and if she was lucky, he'd still be. So, parting her jaws, a stream of blue flame shot into the sky as she rose from the sands like demon. Judging by the eerie screech which pierced the air soon after, she had hit something. A wicked grin found it's way to her scaly lips as she clung onto the sand, staring up at the sky. There, the God himself was tending to a fresh burn on his forearm, which was caused by that fire blast. "Ah...Ynnit," she spat, her tongue flicking. Specific parts of her body started to glow, and the temperature around her rose drastically. The dragon above didn't reply, and instead growled when he saw the serpent. She'd accuse him of trespassing for sure, and they both knew this meeting wouldn't end peacefully. If Dynni could win this battle for the first time, she'd be overjoyed. She could finally eliminate the only obstacle in her path. If Ynnit won, he'd probably let her go or something like that. His mercy would be his downfall.

(sorry! I was making food with my mom)

  • (It's fine ^^)

He sighed and opened his eyes again after she flicked him. He supposed she had a point. He still didn't feel like dying quite yet. He watched her taking stuff out of her bag sighing. Feeling the dragon moving under him he growled as he touched the sensitive burn on his back. Glaring back at the dragon he rolled his eyes. "I can sit up in my own." He grumbled loudly disliking being treated like a child. As they started to bicker he chuckled a tiny bit to himself when the bickering started. Him and Aallotar fought like that all the time. Maybe the East duo wasn't the worst thing to crawl out of the desert. He looked off into the desert realizing the storm had died down. He began to ponder when she asked if he was awake. He absently nodded and looked down at his ruined chest plate. He would have to make a brand new one. Rocking himself forward he slowly slipped the chest plate off having to tear from the dried blood that plastered it to his skin. Cringing as it finally loosened he slipped it over his head and tossed off to the side. Now it was just his bare chesst. There were old burns and scars that ran all the way down his back and arms. Clearly this wasn't the first time he's dealt with nasty stuff. "So who exactly should I be thanking for the fact I'm not dead?" He asked the girl since he had no clue what her name was since they were fighting the whole time.

The screech drew Aallotar's attention. She turned quickly and with a loud crack sped up to warn them of the coming danger. This fight could be devasting and she was very worried for Elek.

  • (^-^)

Vophi had heard the screech but paid no mind to it: Ynnit and Dynni have been getting into more and more fights recently, and even if the King denied it, his burns proved otherwise. The sudden crackle caused her to visibly jump, though, and she fumbled with the bandages. "Looks like your friend stumbled upon one of our leader's quarrels," she sighed, shaking her head. "Nilanth, if you see any sort of explosion, we have to move," she hummed, and the dragon nodded in reply once he raised his head to peer into the horizon. His wings were now folded to his sides: the storm had settled, so there was no need to defend the two from any sort of airborne projectiles. Glancing down at him when he spoke, she quirked a brow, then tugged on the bandages to unravel them. "Vophi," she stated, clearly focused on not messing up. Since Nilanth was in the way, Vophi had to lean forward in order to get a good look at his burned skin, and once she seen it she grimaced. "Damn," she mumbled under her breath, one had on his shoulder while the other gently grazed against the skin. "Nilanth, how many times do I have to tell you not everything has scales?" she groaned, glaring at the wyvern, who simply grumbled and turned his head away. "Idiot..." she mumbled, turning her attention back to the burn. "Looks like you're getting a new scar," she hummed, sighed, then leaned back. Wiggling her fingers in an attempt to draw attention to them, she snapped to make sure she got the focus she wanted. "If the claws on my hands hurt you, tell me," she stated, picked up a few things, then maneuvered herself so she was leaning over his shoulder again. Asking Nilanth to move would be easier, but he needed to be where he was in order to have a better vantage point, so she'd have to work like this. "This might sting: dragon scales are tough, but flesh is a whole other story," Vophi informed, but didn't wait for a reply and applied a foreign mixture to the burned area, trying her best to not injure him with the rough plating of her armor. Would she take it off? No. Why? Getting in on was hard enough, and she only took it off when she was behind Eastern borders. While working, she tried to take his mind off of the procedure with conversation.

"Have you heard of the Northern and Southern kingdoms? The dragons there are odd: they don't even have a society! It's crazy," she chuckled, then glanced up, meeting Nilanth's gaze. His expression was a mixture of both confusion and amusement, and grumbling softly, Vophi flicked some of the mixture at the wyvern, who snorted and recoiled immediately. While doing so he almost struck Vophi with his tail. "Hey, watch it!" the girl snapped, glaring at the wyvern for a second before returning to her work. She wanted to clean the area, and that mixture did it's job well. Then, gesturing to her bag with her eyes, Nilanth tossed a clean rag Vophi's way with his muzzle, with she managed to catch. Mumbling something under her breath, she continued speaking. "The Eastern kingdom doesn't have Longwings, so your friend is the first one I've seen," she pointed out, cleaning both the mixture and her hands off with the rag. "Do you know how sharp her tail is? It must be pretty sharp if it cut my neck without much effort," she mused, a small chuckle escaping her lips. Speaking of her neck, she just noticed the bleeding. She made a mental note to take care of that later. "In fact, the Western kingdom has a lot of foreign dragons I've never seen," she added, discarding the rag with a tsk and rummaging through her bag again. Pulling out another foreign mixture, Vophi set it to the side and resumed working, biting down on her bottom lip and furrowing her brows. "Did that idiot claw you anywhere else?" She inquired, staring up at Nilanth, who growled and whacked her with his wing.

  • His dark brown eyes scanned the skies. He was glad she had camouflaged herself among the few white clouds. He gave bit of a crooked smile as she jumped at the crack. It was a bit funny since he was so used to it now he didn't even notice, that or he was loosing his hearing. Elek liked to think himself just used to the sounds. He looked out again at the desert but, watching her work from the corner of his eye. "Elek." He responded still wearing his asymmetrical smile. He drowned out her lecturing her dragon friend in response to the large burn he had gotten. Hearing the bit about a new scar he chuckled. "Great another one to add to my collection." He waved a hand towards his chest and arms which were littered with scars. He didn't really remember how got everyone of them but, he doubted he would forget how he got this one. He tensed up at the sting from the burn. It wasn't unbearable but, honestly still stung enough to make him react. He had managed to get himself poisoned, burned, stabbed by large needles, and now he could add stinging pain to the list. Seriously maybe it was time he invested in some better armor.

He turned his head as she started rambling on. Sighing a bit he nodded and shrugged a bit, which aggravated his injury. "I'm probably glad they don't though because then there would be four leaders quarreling instead of two." He sighed looking off in the distance. As nice as it was to talk to someone like him after today they probably were never going to meet on friendly terms again. "I hear whispers of humans in the untamed North and South regions. I was found in the North." He murmured with a shrug wincing at the pain from the burn. He had to stop doing that! Just then a distance away Aallotar appeared and his smile faltered. "She was taken from a raid on the East. She was the only one to survive." He explained remembering the stories. "I treat her blades with a special mixture that makes them stronger and sharper." He explained very proud of his handy work. "Sorry about that." Elek said pointing at her neck.

  • "No use apologizing: next time the wound will be fatal for sure," Vophi replied subconsciously, her focus elsewhere. She needed a delicate touch for this part of the procedure so, mumbling something under her breath, she removed her gauntlets and set them aside. Her hands were actually very soft, which she thought would be surprising for someone native to the west. In the East, appearance was actually quite important, and almost every dragon dedicated an hour or two to grooming themselves. One of her closest friends, a young dragoness named Vellenth, would show up at her home at the same time every day to help Vophi get ready. The mixture she was applying now would prevent infection and cool the skin, which would ease some of the pain. Probably. Her touch was now feather-light and delicate, like she was afraid of breaking something. It didn't take long for her to finish, and cleaning off her hands she grabbed the loosened bandages, then proceeded to wrap them around his torso. Vophi made a mental note of his struggling, and with a grumble she stopped her actions and placed both her hands on his shoulders, silently telling him to quit it. When she resumed bandaging him up, she also resumed speaking.

"I was found in the East: according to Ynnit, I was abandoned for some unknown reason," she hummed, paused, then continued bandaging. Those whole situation didn't settle right, but at the moment she didn't care. Her full, undivided attention needed to be on Elek's wounds and nothing else. She could still speak, but she needed to pay attention to her actions. Fastening the bandages, her attention was drawn to the gashes, and she grimaced. "Those might need to be stitched back up," Vophi hissed, wincing. She had a habit of doing that: she could vividly imaging the pain without actually feeling it. Closing one bag, she tossed it over to Nilanth, who fastened it onto his saddle with a huff. Dried blood had encrusted itself onto her skin, and with a grimace she gently rubbed the small wound. "Ynnit plans on helping the North and South form kingdoms of their own, then ally with them after," Vophi stated while rummaging through her bag, and pulled out two items. "Sorry: you're going to need some stitches," she sighed quietly, shooting another glare Nilanth's way. While she got to work on prepping the areas which needed stitching, she decided to distract him yet again. "Can you understand me well enough?" she asked, referring to her Eastern accent. The dragons of the east were known to have a melodic language, and specific pronunciations were somewhat different.

  • Closing his eyes he nodded slowly. Honestly he was very surprised this instance had not been fatal to him. He subconsciously flinched as her soft hands worked along his wounds. Squinting he relaxed after a moment and shook his head. It must be an Eastern thing. He looked down at his tough rugged hands that had clearly been used and neglected. The differences between the two cultures were so obvious. Elek relaxed a bit but, still was becoming restless from having to stay so still. He felt her small hands placing on his shoulders. Looking her square in the eye his movements ceased but, he didn't seem happy about it. Shifting his weight he looked her quietly in the eyes.

He nodded slowly. "I've always wondered if there were any other humans still alive." He chuckled then glanced back at her. "I didn't expect to ever meet one though." Looking down at the gashs which were extremely bloody and did clearly need some kind of attention. "Is there any other solution?" He asked although he guessed there wasn't. Her wince didn't help his sentiment either. "Since you're a healer I would work on being a little less expressive." He adviced sighing softly mentally preparing himself. The thought of stitches wasn't an appealing one but, it kept him alive at least. Aallotar came closer looking exhausted. The burn scar on her chest looked swollen and painful. "The leaders are locked in combat this won't be pretty." She mumbled softly and watches worriedly as Vophi prepped the area for stitches.

"So then you can finally get rid of the West." He muttered a bit bitterly. This was his home after all and the thought of three factions acttacking at once would mean the end of ththe West. They had too few reasources to fight such a large scale battle. Well thinking of that was helping him not think of her about to give him stitches. "Yeah well enough although I'm surprised you can understand me at all." His voice was very ragged and his speech parttern a bit choppier to listen to.

  • "Dragons don't feel as much pain as we do, you know," Vophi replied, glancing up at him for a brief moment before returning her attention to her word. "Besides, it's a habit now: the dragons I cared for find my occasional wince and such amusing," she explained, then shook her head when he mentioned if there was any other way. "Our magical healers and currently travelling around, and my training hasn't reached that level yet," she replied softly, her gaze being drawn to the dragoness' wound. Pursing her lips, Vophi snapped to get Nilanth's attention. "Care for her wounds, if she'll let you," she instructed, and when the wyvern tried to argue she silenced him with a glare. "You did it, so you fix it!" Lowering his ears and baring his teeth, Nilanth looked over at the dragoness and tilted his head, quirking a brow. Shaking her own head, Vophi paused for a moment when Elek mentioned getting rid of the West, and sighing softly she resumed. "I overheard some of Ynnit's advisers talking and...I heard something about fusing the territories," she hummed, trying to make the situation seem better, somehow. The needle easily pierced through his flesh--it was made for dragon scales--and this time Vophi managed to suppress the wince. "I know Dynni will never accept peace: she is very vengeful, isn't she?" a soft chuckle escaped her lips. "He is also interested in the North and South because...well...the dragon's there say something in the lands can help end this war," she admitted, causing Nilanth to snap and hit her over the head, growling. "Vophi, are you crazy?! He's still an enemy, you know!" He spat, tail lashing. Rubbing the back of her head tenderly, the girl glared daggers at the wyvern, then resumed her work, muttering Eastern profanities under her breath. Maybe she should take this conversation elsewhere? "Do...do you know how your Eastern prisoners are doing? Someone v-very dear to me was taken during the last b-battle," Vophi asked, her voice wavering. Who was this dragon? It was one of Nilanth's brothers. The wyvern looked away when she asked that: his ears were lowered and his eyes grew dull. He didn't want to hear the answer.

  • A chuckle came from the young man. "I guess they could be entertaining if you don't feel much pain anyway." He turned to look at the Dragoness who looked cautiously at the Wyvern. After looking him over the female sighed slowly nodded. She flicked her tail catiously narrowing her eyes. "Don't try anything stupid." She grumbled quietly sitting so he could properly see her wound. Her dark eyes glowed daring him to try anything stupid. He blinked hearing that Ynnit planned to fuse the territory. "That doesn't exactly sound completely peaceful." He commented raising a brow it. Sounded like Ynnit was only going to install puppet states so he could have enough power to wipe out Dynni. Elek didn't seem very upset by that thought. He blinked and when she mentioned there was something in the North and South that Ynnit wanted. Interesting although he wasn't really sure how he would handle that information. It would probably be best to inform Dynni of it. But, large part of him did not wish to. He took in a shallow breath as he felt the sting of the needle. At the mention of prisoners he frowned and both he and his companion exchanged a long troubled glance. "They are alive." He muttered softly not wanting to dash all their hope but, also not wanting to lead them to expect too much. "They've been using them to test new weapons. I check on their condition if you want." He offered with a shrug. It earned him a disapproving look from Aallotar.

  • "Checking on them could get you killed, so I don't suggest it," Vophi replied, her voice soft and sounding a bit drained. "If you do happen to see a wyvern like him, though, please tell him I'm alright. He was captured trying to protect me..." the girl's voice died off, and staring at her hands, she tried to keep them steady. She decided to continue conversing about Ynnit's plans for fusing the territories, since Elek clearly didn't see the fusion in the same way. She didn't blame him, though: they were raised by two very different kingdoms, after all. "Ynnit isn't known for massacring entire kingdoms, so I am sure the fusion will be very peaceful," she hummed, then frowned, her voice lowering. "Dynni would never allow it, though, and Ynnit's patience has been worn thin," her focus faltered and her hands started to tremble, but luckily for her the needle wasn't in his skin. "Ynnit has never lost a one-on-one battle with her, so I fear he may not show mercy during their next," she sighed, growled, then paused to rub her temples. "I just wish there was a peaceful way to end this war," Vophi sighed, paused, then continued speaking. "Which is why I'm attending a mission to both the North and South: if there are remnants of human civilization there, maybe I'll find something useful..."

Nilanth be big and bulky, but he did know how to care for wounds, and his lack of arms actually didn't make the job harder. He had a rag dipped in the same mixture Vophi used of Elek grasped in his muzzle, and flipping up up so it was resting on the tip of his nose, he warmed the rag up with his breath and started to rub it on the dragoness' wound. "Vophi is going to bandage you: if I tried, I might poison you."

    (A bit rushed)

  • "Not if I don't get caught." A michevious glint appeared in his eye. Really all he would have to do is give the guards some excuse like he wanted to see how the weapon testing was going. He got to pretty much do whatever he wanted as long as he didn't cause any damage. He nodded softly looked off into the distance for a moment. "If I see him I'll give him the message." He assured and closed his eyes inhaling a deep breath. The pain wasn't killing him now which was good. He opened his dark eyes again furrowing his brow. "You're probably right I just have a hard time seeing meddling in the lives of others as a good thing." He glanced back off into the distance no doubt Dynni and Ynnit were still locked heavily in combat. The duels happened rarely but, they could last days considering how powerful both were. "If Dynni knows that the North and South are going to unify she would probably start trying to invade." His brow furrowed and he shook his head violently. He didn't think she knew yet or didn't know exactly what was going on. Elek gave her a concerned look as she stopped to rub her temple. "It will probably only end when Ynnit decides to kill Dynni. The war can't keep going on like this. They both think that with the help of humans they might be able to win the war. But, we won't live to see the war end if this stalemate continues like it has." Raw emotion vibrated through his voice. He didn't know how he wished for it to end he just wanted it to be over. He tipped his head and slowly drew out a small bag from around his belt. Taking a deep breath he fumbled with the warm leather strings until the bag was open and he pulled out a carefully folded map. He spread it open which laid out before in the entire know territory of dragons from North to South and East to West. There were three red spots marked in both the South and North portions of the map. "These are where humans have been rumored to be. Most of them are very isolated places said to be haunted there could be humans hiding there." He whispered in a low voice pointing to each of the spots. He then put his finger on one very deep in the North. "That's where I was found." He shrugged at the fact as to him it was nothing special.

Aallotar was growing suspicious by their whispering. Still she watched the Wyvern work. She hissed at the heat from the rag. Any heat bothered her and after today she was going to go find some snowy capped mountain to live on. "I don't know if bandages will do much." She sniffed at the spot on her chest sighing loudly.

  • "They will keep dirt and debris from getting into the wound: your healers can take care of the rest," Nilanth growled, quirking a brow when he noticed her discomfort. "How does a dragon who can't handle heat live in a desert?" he mused, tail scoring marks into the sand as he finished cleaning--and treating--the wound. He swatted her muzzle away with his wing so it wouldn't obstruct his view, and grumbling softly, he sat up and folded his wings to his sides. Then, he did something odd. Nilanth bowed his head: this was an apologetic gesture practiced in the Eastern kingdom. "I apologize for causing such horrible damage to your body: the dragons I have fought are much more resilient to fire," he hissed, lowering his ears. "My...temper...might convince you otherwise, but us Eastern dragons aren't interested in shedding unnecessary blood," he explained, settling down onto the sand. In the distance, his keen hearing picked up the sound of roaring and screeching. He sighed in response to the noises and, sprawling himself out onto the sand, he spread his wings and tried to absorb the warmth radiating from the sun above.

Vophi pursed her lips and fell silent: she knew something he didn't, clearly. In fact, she knew quite a bit about human capabilities, tech, and other feats the species had accomplished prior to their extinction. Ynnit wanted her for one reason, though, and she wasn't exactly comfortable sharing it. The glare from Nilanth sapped away her remaining confidence, too. "If Dynni invades the North and South, she'd have the upper hand in this war, and if Ynnit manages to form kingdoms and allies there, he'll have the advantage," Vophi mumbled, them fell silent again when Elek pulled out a map. Finishing her work on the wound, she moved to work on the next one while she stared at the map, clearly intrigued. "You're forgetting a few Eastern spots, but I can see why," Vophi chuckled, and tapping a few locations on the map, she described them. "Nilanth's mother said a small group was found here: all of them were slaughtered. I was found here, abandoned in the middle of nowhere. The jungle beasts almost got to me! Nilanth's sire found three abandoned camps while patrolling the border, also." Her finger danced across the map, pointing out every location she mentioned. Then, her attention was drawn to the six red dots, but only for a moment due to the fact she was working on his wounds. "Do you plan on going there, too? If either of us go missing it could result in catastrophic events going on between our respective clans."

  • Aallotar lashed her tail behind her letting out a heavy sigh. "Believe me if I could live anywhere this would not be my first choice. Longwing aren't supposed to live in deserts." The white dragon stuck out like sore thumb among the sand and earth. She looked quite shocked he actually lowered his head and apologized. She hadn't expected him to apologize for sure. The dragoness smiled her tail swishing as if to wave the issue away. "We'll both agree we did some things we weren't proud of. Believe it or not I absolutely hate seeing blood shed even though I'm an evil Western dragon." She snickered while settling down and spreading out her massive purple wings alongside her.

Elek was not oblivious to her hesitation and demeanor change. But, it wasn't like he couldn't understand why. They were still strangers and had no idea what was safe to say. He still really didn't know himself. It wouldn't really be a surprise that Dynni had kept many things from him. He had always been taught humans were little more then pests that had to be exterminated for becoming to brave and thinking themselves greater then the dragons. He believed her since the dragons were thriving and humans were thought to be completely extinct. He nodded looking over the Eastern parts of the map. "Hmm...I don't think I just happened to be found." There was another thing she had never bothered to fill him in. Occasionally a dragon would tell him they had saved him from certain death from Northern savage dragons but, he never did believe them. He sighed looking down wishfully at the map. "I've always dreamed of it but, it would mean I would be facing Dynni's wrath." Just the heat around her when she was angry was enough to kill him. Searching them out would mean he would be running for the rest of his life.

  • Nilanth hummed to himself, then quirked a brow and the corner of his lip, displaying his growing confusion. "I always thought the Western dragons were bloodthirsty because Dynni herself wanted them that way: if her warriors weren't hesitant to kill, then they'd fight without holding back," he flicked an ear shortly after saying this, the sounds in the distance staring to worry him. Dynni and Ynnit would move to new locations as their quarrel progressed, and he feared the two would stumble upon them if they didn't move fast enough. Shifting around, his wings quivered.

"Well...maybe you wouldn't be the one facing her wrath?" Vophi offered, glancing up at him for a brief moment. "Since both leaders know they have a human among their ranks, and think the other leader doesn't know, they'd probably assume one of them took, or killed, the other human," she explained, paused, then resumed her work. "Even though Ynnit sounds like a calm and collected dragon, if someone were to harm me in any way..." her voice trailed off, but her shudder spoke one million words. Ynnit was a scary dragon: he was considered a God, after all! Then, after a few moments, she spoke up again. "Sometimes, I've considered running away from it all, from the war. All the fighting gets hard to deal with: you never know if a battle could be your last..." After this sentence, her voice finally died off. In fact, her whole demeanor changed, too. She was starting to brood upon the thought of losing a battle: she didn't want to lose Nilanth like she lost his brother.

(Agh, sorry for the muse! I'll try to get back into the swing of the thread)
