  • Evelyn tried to stop herself from drooling at the mention of snacks. She hadn't had breakfast. She snapped back into reality when William questioned her. "No, I didn't see her. She's probably just sleeping in like I did." The girl remarked, before opening the back door of the van and hopping in. "I'm getting in already. Air conditioner, come to me." The girl said, slumping back in the seat as the air blew in her face.

  • Lorelei sighed at the time on her phone as she ran towards the park. "This is all your fault," she muttered to the device. She paused as she turned the corner and saw her friends gathered around the van. She let out another sigh, this one of relief - they hadn't left without her. Lorelei shoved her phone into her pocket and walked the rest of the way to them. "Sorry," she muttered as she arrived at the car. "My shitty phone decided not to wake me up when I set an alarm."

  • Sometimes, even demons liked to bask the warm rays of the sun. Well, Reed did, at least. The caprine ink beast was sprawled out across the grass of the lawn--which pricked at their hide, but they didn't mind--enjoying the warmth radiating throughout their inky body. Happy gurgles escaped their throat as they stretched their limbs, and parting their jaws in quite a large yawn, two small, glowing white orbs appeared in the hollow eye sockets of their skull. It had been a long time since an intruder trespassed upon their land, so they decided to lay back while they could. Tail whisking from side to side, the demon finally stood with a snort, pawing at the ground with their left legs. Their barbed tongue swept at the ground along with their spaded tail, and curling the tip around a small patch of grass, they suddenly tugged and tore the heads off of all the unlucky plants. A high-pitched, eerie chuckle escaped their throat as they stomped upon the mutilated plants with a single hoof, and snorting once again, they retracted their tongue and trotted around in a small circle. If they could smile in this form, they would. Another bout of creepy laughter rumbled from their chest as they turned around and trotted back to the building before them: their home. Getting through the door would be difficult in this form--they were just taller than a large horse--so instead of forcing their way through the beast melted, then slid under the door. Reforming back inside, they decided to sprawl themselves on the floor, a quiet murmur leaving their (nonexistent) lips. Now that the house was purged of all unwanted guests, it was actually started to get boring. To make matters worse, they couldn't think of a good prank! They gently kicked the wall nearest to them due to their growing frustration. It wasn't like they could leave or anything, and besides, if a random passerby saw them prancing about in this form they'd surely report it! The demon wouldn't be too happy if they had hunters on their tail just for a small slip-up. Well, now that they thought about it, would the hunters be able to reach them in time? The major demon of this house, their leader, would surely have their head if they brought attention to their home. Speaking of the woman, where was she? Subtle paranoia started to settle in, and falling still, the beast flipped over onto their stomach and looked around, trying to search for any visible movement. Their tongue flicked at the air: a telltale sign of their weariness. They'd never admit it, but the demon actually feared that woman.

Lamia let a soft but low hiss escape her lips as she lightly padded her way through the upper levels of the house. The leading Demon of the group honestly bored out of her mind as she headed downstairs to the lower levels of the house, deep down through an almost completely hidden entryway that she had installed so she and her followers would have a sanctuary to take sanction in should they need it during their time there. Her large beautiful black feathered wings lightly wrapped around her body as she moved, giving an illusion that she slid across the ground due to the mere size of her wings. Her dark eyes lightly lined with black and smoked out, contrasting with her pale alabaster skin and fiery red hair.

  • "It's okay, at least you woke up and came, you could've continued sleeping..Now, everybody into the car and let's run."

William said as he opened the door in the Drivers side and got in. He operated the car and waited for everyone to get in before they hit the main road.

    (Time-skips travelling)

After 2 full hours sitting in the car, William finally turned right and straight into a wooded area, but it strangely had snow falling here. He turned another right before he slammed the brakes as the House was right there.. It looked even more horrifying. "I kind of begin to regret coming here.." William said as he scratched his head after getting out of the car, putting his hands in his pockets..

    Haunted mansion:

  • Reed was sleeping on the porch when they heard something slam, and the noise was enough to cause the ink beast to shoot to their feet and look around, their head lowered and back arched. Then, they saw it.A car! They quietly thanked their superior vision as they whipped their tail from side to side. Excitement bubbled up in their stomach as they melted and slid under the door, reformed, then bounded through the house in an attempt to find their reptilian companion. When they did, the ink beast almost charged into the demon, and had to skid in order to halt fully. This caused them to fall to their side, but they were up in an instant, body trembling. "People! People outside!" Reed panted, prancing around in a small circle and pawing at the ground.

    (rushed)

  • Lillith had found a nice place to sleep and was enjoying the peace until reed came stomping in. She rose from her sleep stretching and thrashing her tail on annoyance. "Why can't you ever let me sleep" she complained until the words sunk in.people, people here. "If this is one of your pranks, I will crush you in my could until your liquids turn solid. We must inform her." The succubus serpent could hardly contain her excitement as she went to find the head demon.

  • "It's not a prank! He has a car too, a big car! Maybe there are more?" Reed's growing excitement was apparent, and they even melted into a puddle again. However, this time they took on a human form, since being seen in their caprine form would surely scare their 'guests' away. Their eyes were jet black and leaked an inky substance: if the major demon saw her without these eyes she may mistake them for a human. The only thing effective on them was a silver blade dipped in holy water, but quarreling with the major demon did not sound pleasant at all. Her attacks could still hurt! "Speaking of pranks...aren't you glad I set up! I was hoping to trap you but this is way better!" they snickered, elbowing the reptilian.

  • Lillith rolled her eyes at the mention of reeds pranks "I don't even want to know" was all she said acknowledging the demon before her. As the half snake women slithered to the stairs she saw the image that inspired fear in her. The head demon Lima was beautiful and it irked Lillith to no end. In power and beautiful was just too much. "Lamia we have guest"

  • Jordan looked out the window to the mansion, pressing his face up against the glass to examine towering building. "Oh shit, it's huge," he breathed, running his fingers through his hair as he tore his eyes away from the magnificent sight to his friends, taking a moment to look at their shocked expressions before adding onto his first statement, "I am not looking forward to going in there." Jorsan added a shudder for effect, leaning his back against the door.

  • "I don't want to go in there either, Jordan, but we wanted to go on an adventure, so here we are.." He exhaled through his mouth, his hickory colored eyes glancing at his feet before returning back to let his eyes drink in the sight of the abnormally big building. "Is this the dumbest decision we ever took? Probably. Is this gonna be one hell of an adventure? Certainly." He said, sarcasm overtaking his voice. "Don't you think that it's weird how it's snowing, yet we aren't cold, or at least I'm not." He said as his eyes drifted towards his friends, taking a glance at each face as he waited for a response..

  • Lamia looked out a window of the mansion, smiling softly as she spotted a car in the distance, "Oh look~" The demoness purred with a smirk, "It looks like we have company, darlings~!" She added before letting a soft groan escape her as she used magic to conceal her wings, only from human eyes, before making her way downstairs to the foyer once she was satisfied with her appearance.

  • Evelyn nodded along with her friends, staring at the large building. She snapped out of her stare when William spoke. "Yeah, I'm not really that cold. But I don't think we should go in, what if the floors and walls are unstable and they collapse in on us?" No, she wasn't thinking of ghosts or some of that shit, she was thinking of ways they could get locked in. If people abandoned this place, it was probably for a reason. The girl ran a hand through her bright red hair, while staring at the house. She could have sworn she saw something running by a window...

  • "Did we bring a tent?" Jordan asked, looking over at William, "Or we could sleep in the car. I agree with Evelyn, that place looks creepy." Jordan faked a shudder, doubting how safe a building that was old as that one could be. There could also be asbestos or something like that, and Jordan didn't plan on dying in the middle of nowhere and leaving his mother wondering where he was. It probably wasn't insulated either, and he didn't want to freeze to death, or die in general.

  • "Geez, all those ways of dying. Pff, never seen such support before." William said, a weird, funny look on his face. "Yeah, I brought enough food to survive for a day or two here, it's in the car trunk. I also brought sleeping bags, I didn't bring a tent, sorry about that." William said as he opened the trunk, showing everything. It was full with Food and 4 sleeping bags on the side.

  • Lorelei rolled her eyes. "Calm down. The house is still standing after all these online accounts; Any place that can handle a supposed 'portal to hell' is probably pretty sturdy." She tried her hardest to dismiss the worrying of her friends, and yet a chill went down her spine as she stared at the house. She turned her attention to the supplies in the trunk and absentmindedly nodded in approval.

  • Jordan eyed Lorelei suspiciously, "Fine, but I'm sleeping in the car, anyone who's sane can join me," he resolved, looking from the supplies to the house. He wasn't going to sleep in there, friendship be damned, and about the 'portal to hell' thing... "If there really is a portal to hell, there'll be demons and shit and I haven't renewed my will," he whined, leaning dramatically against the side of the car.

  • Mere moments later, a slender figured red headed woman opened the door and stepped out, looking out at the teenagers with a kind smile, "Oh hello~!" She called out to them as she raised a hand to her face, shielding her eyes from the sunlight as she watched the newcomers.

  • William eyes widened as he stumbled back and almost fell, he didn't know the owner was still alive. "Oh god, I didn't know the owner was still alive, nor had any relatives to take over the house." He whispered as he waved back towards the redheaded woman. He wanted to go and greet her, but he was frozen in hs place from the shock..
