The newest capture had been left in the established headquarters of the Gang. The Japanese goods store, Muji, had fallen into ruin from the years of neglect, but now that it had a group moving in, it was neatened, slightly. Zedekiah wasn't sure why he had chosen this place, but it offered a nice meeting spot for his friends and comfortable seating for all of them. Plus, Hexer really liked the stamps.
The pale wolf came out of the shadows, his red eyes on the newest capture. "Name?"

Alcibiades had been napping in the corner amongst a small pile of furs that he had collected. The hard floors of the store didn't provide much comfort after all, and considering that this place had been pretty much looted of such comforts(all the had was useless human shit like Hexer's stamps but that's okay because Alcibiades was a borderline packrat), the furs were all he had. He was having a pleasant dream of some hot as fuck black leopard in some weird ass desert paradise. Damn, it was steamy as fuck. However, the dream of his was cucked when he heard their alpha's voice. Something about it alerted his ass every time. Sleepily raising his head from the pile of furs, the pale wolf's head shifted to get a better view of what was going on.

→ tags Unlike the two before her, both pale in color, Regina's fur was as black as night. Her deep amber eyes pressed into the gaze of the first canine who had addressed her. She refused to show her fear, she would not let them know that she was intimidated by them. Her mind was a jumble of thoughts. It had all happened so fast, and suddenly, she was standing before an audience, being asked for her name. She had become their captive in a matter of minutes and now she didn't know what would happen to her. Her hackles raised, dark eyes boring deep into those questioning her. She fought the urge to curl her lip and shoot out a sarcastic remark because she knew she was severely outnumbered and the wrong thing said could result in her death.
"My name is Regina," she answered steadily, her eyes never wavering from Zedekiah unless she was stealing a glance at Alcibiades just to keep an eye on him. There was no way in hell she was letting her guard down now.

and this chaos, it defies imagination "Regina," he returned, echoing her name in his soft voice. The white wolf settled down in front of her, laying down with four legs folded neatly underneath his body in a position of relax. There was a small thoughtful hum--he noted Alcibiades' form nearby and gave the other canine a flick of an ear as a greeting, but his full attention was on the dark wolf. He could see her aggression, the rising of her hackles, the steely determined expression in her eyes. "Have you lived in the Clans all your life?"

GLORY AND GORE GO HAND IN HAND
duchess darling — ♀ — paragonYet another kid to add to the pack, although this one did seem older than some of the others. Staking forward the tawny furred doberman remained silent for the most part, coming to a quiet halt at Zedekiah's side and humming quietly to herself she shifted her pink eyes over the strange black figure. Huh, another canine then? That'd be interesting to see how she played into the pack if she had any semblance of canine instinct. Not many did these days though she humored, it seemed they drifted further from their roots more and more every day.

Regina. It meant queen right? By the time he caught a glimpse of Duchess, he was going to fall back asleep. His eyelids dropped shut once more as he was content on listening to the soft sounds of conversation while resting his eyes. Maybe he'll knock out again, that was fine. It wasn't like Zed was gonna smack him for it. "Hmm, Benji, get the fuck out, we claimed this place first," the blonde canine would mumble sleepily as soon as he heard the telltale sounds of scales scraping the smooth floor, "Muji belongs to us." Though most signs of the stores were ruined or hard to read, the Muji sign was rather intact so the snake had to be illiterate or something to miss it.

→ tags The young she-wolf watched as Zedekiah settled himself on the ground before her. It was clear that he wasn't intimidated by her in the slightest. However, she still felt uneasy, especially when Duchess stepped up beside him. Three against one. Regina was too inexperienced to fight her way out of this, and much too outnumbered. She hated being helpless in a situation, yet here she was - kidnapped, confused, and scared, though she tried her absolute hardest not to show it.
Her stomach twisted when the white wolf said her name and she tightened her jaw, eyes narrowing. "Yes," she answered coolly in response to his question, her eyes flickering over to the wolf dozing on the ground as he told a snake to scram, the same scaly creature who had just asked where they had gotten it. She curled her lip, disapproving of being talked about like some mindless beast. "What is the meaning of this? Why am I here?" she demanded, focusing on Zedekiah once again.

and this chaos, it defies imagination Hearing someone else's quiet approach, the white wolf turned his head slightly, inclining it to give Duchess a slight greeting as she settled down beside him. His attention turned towards the snake as Benji came in and the wolf's scarlet eyes narrowed at this trespass into their meeting place. "If you want to watch, sit and watch--outside," he returned, not deigning to answer the question. Where she had come from did not matter--they were all Clans. He jerked his chin towards the storefront where the snake could observe if he was curious about this. Zed, like Alcibiades, didn't take too well with some stranger crashing into their place.
Now, if the snake slithered off along, all would be well. His gaze went back towards Regina as she answered. Just as he suspected--she knew nothing else. "I am freeing you from the Clans," he returned coolly, a simple answer. "I am showing you a newer, freer lifestyle here."tags -
→ tags Regina tipped her head, wondering what Zedekiah could possibly mean by a newer, freer lifestyle. "As far as I am concerned, you kidnapped me and brought me here. I'm your prisoner. That doesn't make me free," she said, lashing her tail, ears flattening against her skull. Was this wolf so delusional that he actually thought he was saving her? From what, exactly? She had been content with her life in the Clans. She'd felt free to do what she pleased, unlike now.

and this chaos, it defies imagination This one seemed like it was going to be a little bit more difficult. Zed kept her gaze evenly, blinking as he absorbed her words, noted her aggressive gestures. He wondered if she had any canine instincts in her, any primal need to cower and cringe in the face of the leader. Well, it was time to test it out, soon enough, wasn't it? The wolf approached Regina, scarlet eyes going over her dark form. Suddenly, he moved forward, attempting to shove Regina over so that he could pin the smaller canine down with both paws. "Learn to talk with more respect, first," he snapped, his jaws clacking dangerously close to her face.

→ tags Within a matter of seconds, Regina was on the ground, the older male's paws on her to hold her down, flashes of teeth close to her face. The young she-wolf curled her lip, struggling beneath the other wolf as he kept her pinned. Anger bubbled up inside of her, hot and wild. The spark had been ignited into a burning flame. Her caution had been thrown to the wind, leaving behind the rashness that often accompanied her anger. It was one of many traits that got her into trouble and when accompanied by her big mouth, well, things got ugly. In this case, things would probably get ugly for her.
Let them attack me, filthy fleabitten inbreds, she thought, a growl escaping her lips. Where she had come from, she had to submit to a leader, yes, but not in the way a wolf normally would, so she had no idea what Zedekiah was trying to make her do. There's not much honor in killing a pup. And that's what I am.
"Why should I respect you?" she snarled, ignoring that bit of instinct that told her to shut her mouth and realize she was outnumbered in this situation. "You bring me here against my will, push me around even though I'm younger and smaller than you, and demand my respect? I don't think so. You want me to respect you… you're going to have to earn it," she scoffed through her bared teeth.

GLORY AND GORE GO HAND IN HAND
duchess darling — ♀ — paragonDuchess was stone-faced as she observed the scene quietly, this one wasn't as clever as the last few, they had not a shred of canine instinct in their body. This wasn't about honor or morality, this was pack mentality. Zedekiah was the alpha, she was hardly an omega, a mere pup. Zed didn't care about semantics, this was about falling into her place. She didn't so much as move to help her as he slammed her into the ground, in fact the doberman hummed softly instead, tilting her head to the side. "You misunderstand pendejo." The paragon rumbled calmly, "This isn't about semantics, have you not a shred of natural instincts left in your body?" Pathetic, how did their species plan on surviving if all of them abandoned what had kept them alive for so long? No matter, she could ignore it, it wasn't her concern who did and didn't get themselves killed.
Typically when a larger, stronger, older wolf snapped their teeth inches from your face you learned to get a little fucking humility, nothing feral, just internalized common sense really.TAGS -
and this chaos, it defies imagination In a flash, it was over. The albino moved off her and mostly ignored her words--it was another symptom of the disease that had taken over most creatures. It was exactly what he had been expecting of most people that they bring in. "You've been living too long in the Clans," he commented dryly, unamused. Like Duchess said, there was not a shred of natural instinct left. Perhaps this one would be an experiment, to see if he could beat the corruption out of her. If she could not be saved, Zedekiah had no use for her. "A poor excuse for an animal." She could not even comprehend the usual displays of dominance from the leader of the pack. He glanced over at Duchess, as if inquiring whether she wanted to put a collar on this one in case she got too snappy with the others. Though Regina was being a little bit rebellious, Zed still saw her as part of the pack hierarchy, though on the very, very low end, and wanted the other Exilers to be aware of who they were fucking with if they were going to mistreat her for no reason.

→ tags Regina scrambled to her feet the second the larger wolf had gotten off of her, hackles raised, ears pressing forward. She felt humiliated and wanted to crawl away on her belly with her tail between her legs but she refused to do so. She was afraid of looking weak, so she stood her ground, glaring Zedekiah down. "What do you have against the Clans anyways?"
description / "speaking" / thoughts -
and this chaos, it defies imagination "They're useless bastions of hierarchy, hoping to control everything. How many loners do you know? There's no life for anyone who doesn't want to live in a Clan," he grunted in reply. There was a small dismissive snort as he continued, "And look what they've done to you. You know nothing of what being a real animal is. You're forced to control your own natural instincts as a canine."

Surprisingly, the pale wolf had dozed off once more, even with the situation getting a little physical. It was only after it ended that the canine remembered he was in the middle of watching something and he should wake the fuck up. Light blue eyes snapping open, the blonde canine would lightly shake his head as if trying to keep the sleepiness from taking over again before tuning into the conversation. "Hey, Regina," Alcibiades finally spoke again, raising his head, "tell me, what did you have in the clans? Did you have family? Did you have friends? Did you have anything?"
