Serafin stood outside the base and stretched on the hot, cracked desert ground. Coldfever's departure still hung in Serafin's like a black cloud. He knew she hadn't meant it as a personal offense, the baku had a world of mortals to go see, but it disappointed Serafin to see a friend gone. He needed to take his mind off it. "Would anyone like to spar?" the dog called out, scanning camp for anyone who might be nearby.

At the request of a spar, Claudia perked up from her resting position on the outskirts of camp, rising to her paws with a small shake. The calico feline picked her way over to the leader, golden audits flashing with determination. Claudia was never one to turn down a spar, and after the full moon, needed a way to burn off her excess nervous energy. "I'll spar," she offered with a wide grin, beginning a slow circle around the leader. "Any rules?"
-
The sight of Claudia jumping at the offer of a fight pleased Serafin. That was exactly the sort of attitude the dog was looking for around here, especially with those Rogues causing trouble along the border. "No, no rules." Serafin said, taking a defensive stance as the calico began her slow pace around him. He silently wondered how the feline would fair in a battle against him. His dog body seemed like an advantage. "Would you like me to switch to my cat body for this?" the angel offered.
-
Claudia's lips briefly tugged downwards in a frown as Serafin offered to switch into his cat body to spar, slightly hurt by the insinuation that she couldn't take him in in that form. However, the young werewolf knew that he also had no knowledge of her supernatural status. Claudia's frown was soon replaced by a shit-eating smirk, and she gave a small shake of her head, golden gaze giving a quick flash of color. "I think I can handle you," the officer replied self-assuredly, tail giving quick sweeps over the ground. "Let's get started." She never was the first to attack, seeing it as a disadvantage, so instead continued her circling of the canine, sharp eyes trained on him.
-
"Alright, fair enough." Serafin said calmly, blue eyes following the calico closely as she moved. The commander realized quickly that Claudia would not attack first. Wise, under proper circumstance. After a long moment, the dog rushed at Claudia and aimed to pin her to the ground.

She anticipated his attack. Good. Serafin felt the cat land on his shoulders and gave her an approving look. Without delay, Serafin attempted to roll over to knock the cat off. It wasn't clever move when fighting a group, but just one cat shouldn't leave him open for much.
-
The approving glance Serafin gave her made her wolf preen for a second, proud that she had done something to please the authority. This, however, left Claude distracted enough that she failed to notice Serafin's next move, the merle canine flipping around and effectively knocking her off of his frame. The lithe femme skidded through the dirt a few paces away, sinking his claws into the soil to catch her footing once more. "Good one," she managed to spit out between heavy breaths, a bright smirk curling around her lips.
Claudia decided to be the one on offense this time, rushing forward in a split second after the words had left her mouth. She attempted to abruptly turn as she approached Serafin, balancing haphazardly on her front paws and kicking her hind legs ferociously into his chest, letting a bit of her abnormal strength leak into the attack in hopes it would knock the male off balance.
