    Clan News:

    Season:

Brightstar laid outside her den on this new day, but even though it was a new day everything felt the same. She always felt the same ping of loneliness that came from her entire family dying. She had befriended the new clan medicine cat shortly after the previous one had died, needing someone who understood to talk to and who knew her past and long line of family illness. She watched the sun rise over the trees around their camp and watched as some of the other cats began to stir. She awaited her deputy to wake so she could discus patrols with him.

Mudstep was sorting through herbs, thinking of a kit to pick for medicine cat and who she wanted to train. But this was all so new, being the only medicine cat was new. She hated all the responsibility but also enjoyed it and couldn't wait to share it with an apprentice of her own. Hopefully she would find one in some of these few litters that were coming any day now, or it could be a while before she ever did.

Minimarsh slept peacefully, well, that was until light started shining in her eyes from the holes in the warriors den. She always told herself that one day she would fix those holes, but never has. She slowly rose and walked around everyone, trying very hard not to wake anyone and if she did saying a soft sorry.

Cinderpaw had been awake for a while now, the fact that in just 2 more moons he became a warrior had him all kinds of excited. He was gonna miss Nettlepaw and Asterpaw, mostly Asterpaw, when he left for the warriors den. But he also knew they wouldn't be too far behind him

Silverstride laid outside the nursery, her plump stomach looking as if it could burst with kits any day now. She was very happy she was having them in New-leaf, when the weather was just right in her opinion. She loved going for walks during this time, but she would never go alone anymore since she could give birth at any moment.

  • Linnetstripe opened his eyes to the sun seeping into the den. The massive tom rose to his paws and shook the morning out of his pelt. He closed his eyes as he stretched out his back until he heard a satisfying pop down the middle of his back. Because he was so large he decided that his nest would be near the entrance so if he ever woke up before other warriors he didn't want to disturb them. He walked out of the warriors den and squinted his eyes to the suns rays. He turned his head to see that Brightstar was already awake. "Good morning Brightstar, how did you sleep?" He meowed respectively to his leader. He sat down next to her preparing to discuss patrols. His tail curled around his paws.

Kestreltalon opened her eyes and yawned. The big she-cat turned her head to notice that her brother was already awake. She remembered back then they were both apprentices she would try and crawl up next to him because she was terrified of sleeping in her own next. Of course the Tom would try and push her aside because he wanted to be more masculine and not sleep next to his sister. She smiled at the memory before turning back to her sharp face and walking out of the den. She flicked her tail before heading to the fresh-kill pile. She plucked a vole from off the top and carried it to a shaded area to eat her morning meal. She bit into the vole and savored the taste in her mouth. Vole was her favorite.

Nettlepaw felt his sister stir next to him. He blinked several times before pushing a paw into his sister's side. "Hey wake up! Lets impress our mentors by being up before them!" He meowed. He walked out of the apprentices, noting that Cinderpaw was already up and awake. He was surprised on how big he had gotten. He must be getting closer to his warrior ceremony. The thought of his Warrior ceremony excited him. I wonder what my warrior name will be! I hope its something amazing. He thought to himself. He turned his head to see his sister walk up next to him. "Well good morning sleepy head. You look like you've been sleeping for moons!" He purred seeing that his sister has not yet groomed the sleep out of her pelt yet.

Asterpaw rolled her eyes and purred. "Training yesterday was really rough. He taught me four new moves yesterday and made me run two extra laps. I'm surprised I didn't claw your ears off when you woke me up." She turned her head to see that Cinderpaw was already awake. "Hey Cinderpaw! Do you want to see if our mentors will let us train together today!" She turned to her brother and he gave her the 'look'. She pushed past him and bounded over to Cinderpaw.

  • Brightstar smiled towards her deputy "Hello Linnetstripe, I slept as well as I could. It's been a hard few moons but I see a bright future for Moonclan, especially with you in line to be the next leader" She praised, happy he was awake since she had noticed a large part of the clan was starting to wake up.

Minimarsh looked at Linnetstripe and Kestraltalon as they exited the den after her. She gave a soft smile to the two. Being new to the warriors den, even if it had been 3 moons, made her feel nervous when the older warriors would exit the den after her. "Good Morning Kestraltalon" She greeted, noticing that Linnetstripe had walked to talk to the leader.

Cinderpaw looked towards Asterpaw and Nettlepaw as they exited after him, his eyes focused on Asterpaw when she began talking to him. "Sure! I'd love to help you test out some of those new moves you learned. I should be an easy target" He grinned. He felt different around Asterpaw then he did anyone else, but he choose to ignore it for now.

Silverstride noticed Linnetstripe walk over to Brightstar and she smiled. She had grown fond of the deputy over the past couple of moons being in the nursery. She would never spark conversation with him, her getting nervous extremely around manyof the clan mates. She also didn't want to be walking with him and go into labor, her fearing it would scare him or any of the toms for that matter away. She licked her stomach, feeling a small kick on her tongue as she did which caused her to smile.

  • Redpaw burst from the apprentice den with all the energy of a kit fresh out of the nursery, her greenish eyes taking in the daylight as her jaws parted in a large yawn. Having stretched her claws, Redpaw practically skipped into a corner of camp where her elder brother sat grooming herself. She could smell her clanmates, more specifically, her fellow apprentices. Glancing back at her brother, Redpaw started to head back towards the other apprentices but her brother's raspy meow called her back to him.

"Good morning, Redpaw." He meowed, his amber eyes baring holes in her flesh. "Have you ever tasted an adder?" He asked, knowing the answer. Pineshade chuckled, lowering his voice. "I'm rather craving one. Why don't you go and catch me one? Hm? It'll make up for you blowing me off last night." He meowed persuasively. Wrapping his ginger tail over his paws as he nodded to Redpaw silently, watching the apprentice nod back.

"I'll keep that in mind." She meowed, silently dreading what would happen if she didn't bring back an adder. She knew they could be caught, but Redpaw also knew if apprentice's saw an adder they were supposed to a warrior. Did that change if a warrior told her to catch one? Pineshade wasn't her mentor, but she listened to him more than she ever did her mentor. Casually approaching the other apprentices, Redpaw changed her attitude as best she could." Good morning! You guys were up early!"

  • Mossheart woke up, feeling as if she had woken up late, as the warriors den was starting to clear. She knew her apprentice, Cinderpaw, would be waiting for her. Or at least, she hoped he would be! She was a very young warrior, barely twice her apprentice's age. She had only been a warrior for two moons before Brightstar had surprised her in assigning her as Cinderpaw's mentor. She always tries her best, but she can't help feel that a more experienced warrior would have been a better choice. Regardless, Mossheart stretched and got up to leave the den, searching for her apprentice, finding him chatting with the other apprentices. Feeling awkward, she didn't say anything, and kinda just sat off to the side, waiting for him.

Hawkwing was patiently watching the apprentices, knowing fully well how important socialization was for young cats. By the looks of it, the four apprentices that had gathered together were very close. Hawkwing, having been an only kit, and somewhat shy when he was younger, didn't get to become too close to any of the cats he'd been apprentices alongside. He didn't want to rush Asterpaw, especially given how hard he had trained her the day before.

Lilypetal woke in her nest in the nursery. Being very close to giving birth, she tended to rest for most of the day, waiting for her eldest son, Hawkwing, to return and tell her about his day. But, that got boring fast. She, carefully, got up and exited the nursery.

  • Linnetstripe dipped his head, "I do my best as any cat would, but I doubt anyone could be as good as a leader as you are." He meowed. He flicked his ear watching his classmate rise from their nests. "You look like you could use a run. Do want me to watch camp while you lead a patrol? If you don't want to thats okay." He meowed, wondering who else he would send on patrol. While searching the camp he caught the eye of the eye of Silverstride. He felt his ears grow hot so he turned his attention back to making patrols but then again, he wasn't really rushing anything either.

Kestreltalon narrowed her eyes. "Good morning Minimarsh. Lovely morning isn't it." She meowed nonchalantly. Her ears flicked as she wondered why the new warrior was even talking with her. Maybe was going to talk about the apprentices since they both were mentors. Odd. She was still shocked that she even got an apprentice. She knew her brother was the deputy and all... but was that really the reason why Brightstar gave her an apprentice. She wasn't really mentor material.

Nettlepaw smiled as he noticed that his mentor was speaking with Kestreltalon. He didn't want to bug her so he sat and watched the other apprentices.

Asterpaw smiled, "Suuuure... You're not fooling me. You're not giving yourself enough credit." She meowed. "I bet you already learned these moves and could easily counter it." She laughed batting at his ears like a kit.

    //Sorry its short. I'm eating.

  • Brightstar nodded "I would be nice to lead a parole, I do need to see how Cinderpaw's training is going as well he does only have 2 more moons until his ceremony" The thought outloud, before nodding and smiling at her deputy. She looked towards the Nursery, seeing 2 of the queens were out and about "It's good to see kits being born into the clan, especially 2 litters full" She commented, looking back at him.

Mudstep walked from the Medicine Cat den and quickly across camp to the nursery "Good Morning Silverstride, Lilypetal. It's good to see you guys are still out and about." She talked through the herbs in her mouth before placing them on the ground and spliting them in 2, pushing them in front of both queens "May not taste the best, but it will help in the long run"

Silverstride did as instructed by Mudstep and ate the herb, not exactly knowing what it did for her or her unborn kits. She looked towards Lilypetal knowing she had been a queen before and had given birth. This was Silverstrides first litter and she was extremely nervous.

Minimarsh smiled, not sure what else to say for conversation. She looked towards the apprentices and noticed Nettlepaw was sitting more to the side, she then looked over at Brightstar, who seemed like she was preparing to get up.

Cinderpaw smiled and swapped back at her ears "We will have to see about that one, I wouldn't be too sure. I'm a pretty slow learner. But, even so, I'll take it easier on you since you are farther behind me in training." He replied, he cared for Asterpaw and only wanted to see her happy, but he was also exited to see some of the new moves she had learned from Hawkwing.

  • Hailberry awoke in the warriors den her eyes were blurry so she blinked a few times to get her vision to clear. She knew she needed to get up, she groaned getting up from her warm nest and stretching her body out before she made her way into the clearing her feathery tail swaying behind her ," Good morning all!" She chirped, sounding like some excited apprentice again. She wasn't much of a morning cat but she tried to make it seem as so not wanting to be crabby with anyone.

  • SNAILFOOT

[warrior] • [33] • [tom] • [apprentice; open] • [location; camp clearing] • [tags; brightstar, linnetstripe]

rollout his blue optics a dark brown and white tom left the warriors den, trailing out just behind hailberry; flicking an ear he strode past her, making his way towards the fresh kill pile. his dusty paws shuffled a bit as he begin rummaging through the pile, eager to find a certain type of prey, not finding it the tom quickly pulled his head away he turned on his paws. a huff left snailfoot as he searched the camp, quickly spotting his leader and deputy; making sure his pelt was neat the blue-eyed tom slowly approached the two "good morning brightstar, linnetstripe" he greeted cooly, bowing his head "I dont mean to interup but i was just curious about patrols, is there one I could join?" snailfoot questioned.

  • Streamwhisker: Streamwhisker woke, to her kits telling her to wake up, that it was morning, she opened her eyes, and stretched her body, before getting up "Okay you two, I'm up I'm up" she meowed, and yawned, following the kits outside

Harekit: Harekit jumped excited "Yay! Let's annoy someone, let's go Graykit" she meowed, pouncing her brother happily, gently nipping his ear

Graykit: Graykit laughed "Okay okay!" Just stop nipping my ear sis!" he meowed, before getting her off of him, and looked around, and spotted Brightstar "Let's annoy Brightstar" he whispered to his sister, who quickly agreed, following her brother

Streamwhisker: the young mother, saw her two kits sneaking over to a place to hide, to play their usual games, she decided not to tell Brightstar, as the two troublemakers, was still kits, and still had two moons, to be kits in, so they needed to burn off that troublemaker energy, before they became apprentices, or else they might not become apprentices at all

  • Lilypetal ate the herb Mudstep had given her. "Thank you, Mudstep." Lilypetal purred softly, grateful for the young medicine cat. She then turned to Silverstride. "Good morning, Silverstride." She greeted her fellow queen. She knew that this was going to be Silverstride's first litter, and, being the only current queen to have previously had kits, she knew that Silverstride was nervous. Lilypetal certainly had been nervous when she was expecting Hawkwing.

Hawkwing wondered if Brightstar would send him and Asterpaw on a patrol this morning. It had been a while since he'd been on an official patrol, since most days were spent teaching his apprentice hunting and fighting skills. Looking at Asterpaw and Cinderpaw, it seemed like the two were looking forward to training together.

Only a few paces away from Hawkwing, Mossheart was still watching the apprentices. She liked to train her apprentice alongside the others, since it took some of the pressure off of her when other mentors were around.

  • Hailberry made her way over to where Hawkwing was a warm smile painting across her maw," Good morning Hawkwing!" She Chicopee her tail swaying behind her before she sat back on her haunches licking one of her paws and running it over to ears to fix the hairs that stuck up from sleep.

  • Brightstar looked towards Snailfoot "I was about to announce paroles" She said before walking over to a log in the center of game "All Cats please gather, I have prepared paroles and am ready to announce" She spoke loudly, to get everyone's attention.

Mudstep looked up towards Brightstar before going to her usual spot near the bag. She didn't usually take part in paroles and often found it pointless for her to even be in these meetings.

Silverstride looked up towards Brightstar. She knew her and Lilypetal didn't need to move and could stay put and with her as far into her pregnancy as she was, she didn't want to move all too much.

Minimarsh looked towards Brightstar then walked over towards the meeting area, she stayed standing incase she was called for a parole.

Cinderpaw heard the announcement and smiled at Asterpaw, Nettlepaw and Redpaw. "Race you guys to the meeting area." He said then began to jog towards there. Being slightly larger then them gave him an advantage that he didn't want to use.

  • Hawkwing nodded in greeting to Hailberry. "Good morning... Ah, it seems patrols are about to be announced." Hawkwing said, getting up from his spot, and gathering around Brightstar, with a flick of the tail to invite Hailberry along with him.

Mossheart also gathered around the clan leader, patiently waiting for the patrol announcements of the day.

Lilypetal watched the cats gathering around Brightstar and purred softly. "It's quite amusing how Brightstar can make patrol announcements seem like vital meetings..." She mused.

  • Silverstride smiled at Lilypetal "All leaders have a way of doing things, her's is just a little different then most" She didnt know if she was supposed to hear and reply to Lilypetal, but she did just case.

Brightstar smiled as her clan began to gather before her. This was her favorite part of the morning was seeing all her clanmates with her. She started to imagine what it would be like if her father or brother were still here, the proud look on her father's face when she became a warrior was still imaginable in her mind. She snapped out of her day dream and started saying off patrols. "This mornings hunting patrol will be lead by me. I will be taking along Mossheart and her apprentice Cinderpaw as well as Hawkwing and his apprentice Asterpaw. I would also like to see the warriors do a little battle practice with their apprentice's later in the day if you don't mind. Border patrol will be lead by Snailfoot. He will be accompanied by Minimarsh and Nettlepaw as well as Pineshade. I hope to hear good things upon return." She concluded looking towards Snailfoot before jumping down and walking towards Linnetstripe. "I'm sorry your not leading patrol this morning, but I needed you to stay back and watch over that clan. If the other warrior's would like to take their apprentice's out allow them though, as they need all the training they can get." She told her deputy giving him a nod.

Cinderpaw grew nervous when his name was called to go on patrol with Brightstar 'This must be an assessment, to make sure I'm fit for a warrior. But that isnt supposed to be for 2 more moons' he thought then looked towards Asterpaw "Lets go find out mentor's so we can get this day started"

  • Hailberry padded up to her leader, who was announcing paroles. She listened to the names of the warriors that her leader had chosen and hers was not mentioned. She wondered what she could do while everyone was out.

  • Linnetstripe nodded his head, thankful that he wasn't going on a patrol. He always goes on patrols and it would be nice to sit back for once. He dipped his head, "I will make sure that everything here runs smoothly, Brightstar" He turned his head.

//Okay I died when minimarsh walked away because its true to Kestreltalon's nature. She isn't very approachable.

Kestreltalon flicked her tail, Bye. She thought to herself.

Asterpaw nodded. "Okay! I wonder why Brightstar is going on our patrol. It's a bit unusual don't you think?"

/OKay side note I am so sorry for my inactivity. I've been so busy with work and a baby. xD

  • ooc- your perfectly fine lol

    ic-

Cinderpaw nodded "I don't know" He replied even though he had a slight idea of what we going on. He walked over to his mentor "Hello Mossheart" He greeted, dipping his head in respect.

Silverstream watch the clan disperse and form their groups, she was secretly happy that Linnetstripe hadn't gotten picked for a patrol. 'I wonder if that means we could spend a little more time together, if he even remembers I exist' she thought then shook the thought away. She continued her watch over the other cats of the clan.

  • Hailberry made her way to Linnetstripe and asked respectfully her blue eyes gleaming," Is there anything you would like me to do?" She tilted her head slightly while she awaited his reply, her ear flicking a few times.

  • Linnetstripe turned his head to Hailberry. He flicked his tail and stood to his paws. "Well since we have so many apprentices become warriors soon. Maybe we can try to expand the warriors den. I don't want to send too many warriors out and about just in case..." He meowed standing to his paws. "I'm gonna check on the queens and see if the nursery needs more moss. But with all these queens I am also questioning whether we should expand the nursery as well..." He thought a loud.

Asterpaw turned to look for Hawkwing. "Good morning Hawkwing!" She meowed walking over to her mentor. She lashed her tail excited that she was going on a hunting patrol with Brightstar and Cinderpaw.

Nettlepaw lifted his head. Border patrol... Sounds fun. He thought to himself. He was a little upset that he didn't get to go on patrol with Brightstar but he didn't put to much thought into it. He walked calming over to his mentor Minimarsh. "Hello Minimarsh." He meowed dipping his head slightly.

Kestreltalon flicked her tail. I better train my apprentice... She stood to her paws and turned her head to look at her brother. She knew that she wouldn't need his approval to train her apprentice. If he really needed her, he knew where to find her. "Hey Redpaw, I think I am going to let you pick today. Hunting practice or Battle practice?" She yawned.
