IC: Edwards first comment resulted in nothing more than the girl looking at her child's toy, then up at her friends knife spear thing, then at him directly with a raised eyebrow. Shacking her head in a manner that made her two pigtails jump Red skipped ahead, not watching out for danger in the least. "Nah, not loud, just... A bit sudden, perhaps..? Sorry, I am a bit skittish." Walking backwards in front of Edward she crossed her arms behind her head again. "Don't worry about it for my sake, I'l probably get used to it eventually."

IC: Red had been happily humming to herself while trotting along in front. At the question she stopped to look at Edward over her shoulder, seeming to ponder something, before turning fully to face him. "Yea, you're right. I can probably tell you since we are partners, just don't go telling about it to anyone else. I prefer it stay a secret." She skipped back towards him until she was close enough to talk in a whisper and still have him hear her. "Whenever I use my semblance I tear off a piece of my soul to open a direct gateway to hell, or whatever you call the land of the dead, it's not important anyway. The interesting part is that once I do open the gate my friend on the other side will be able to leap trough, and then pull my enemies back with them. There doesn't seem to be a limit to how many I can have them gather for me at a time, but there is that part about consuming my soul, so I don't really use it unless I have to." Flashing her new friend a cheerfuller grin she took a step back and spoke up in her normal tone again. "So what's your's then?"

IC: Seeing the shock wave knock the huge trees like they were nothing at all Red turned to her partner with a smirk. "Ah, so it was you who nearly killed me by taking down the tree I was in!" Playfully punching Edwards arm she then proceed to jump in the air, definitely exited. "That's just so cool! Well be the best team out there by a long shoot!"

IC: Starting to play with her hair again as they walked Red nodded. "Yea, it's just huge. But that's really the amazing part about it also, I think. There are just so many souls around here absolutely teeming with life!" As she talked she brought her hands in an arch over her head to indicate the whole forest around them. "As for the trinkets I am sure they will be deeper inside. Considering we are meant to find them I am going to go out on a limb here and just assume they are placed withing a natural or synthetically structure that stands out fro the surrounding land." Red let her unusual eyes meet her partners as she turned to point towards the east of them. "When I climbed a tree earlier I remember seeing something reminiscent of a rock formation over that way. Think it might be worth a look?"

Daredare was currently battling a medium-sized Dragon Grimm, which he was at the moment - rapidly drilling it's face in, it roaring loudly in pain while flailing about, eventually swinging it's head near the ground, creating a small hole that buried Daredare. It rapidly attempted to claw him while he was buried, but the drilling blinded the beast. Daredare drilled beneath the ground, surfacing behind the beast with dirt layers covering the mask on his head. "I'm over here, beast!" He yelled, the Dragon tracking his movements with it's head, trying to figure out where the man was just from sound. He grabbed the beast by the tail, picking it up by the tip of the appendage and swinging it around in a clockwise motion, slamming it into the ground after gaining enough momentum, creating a crater where it hit the ground, forcing it into it's back and drilling it's stomach untill it was gone. He wiped the dust off his boots on the skull of the dead beast. "Serves you right, beast." He quipped before smashing the massive skull beneath his boot, making a small hole where he brought down his foot as the skull vaporised. He continued walking, looking for something that might actually do damage, but he was decently sure the Grimm in these woods didn't get much bigger. He walked along, his weapon still fastened to his hand, he was ready for something to strike at any time, and don't even think about bagging his drill.

OOC: The Crimson King : Not trying to be a nitpick, but, dragon grim are to uncommon and powerful to just be a side boss, even having unique powers not found in other grim. So he must actually be fighting a really large lizard or something like that.

IC: Rolling her eyes with a sigh Red flailed about with the hand she was still using to point with, thinking the direction should be obvious even without saying. "Over that way, I think." She chirped, skipping ahead trough the woods seemingly without a worry in the world. "I am sure we're going to meet loads of Grim once we get further away from the noisy people. The creatures are most likely to gather around them, after all."

IC: Turning around to walk backwards in front of Edward again Red tilted her head slightly and twirled a strand of fiery red hair between her fingers. She could always tell him about Joxar her previous life, how she didn't know how she died and the white lady in the room, buuuut in all honesty she didn't think he would believe her. She sure wouldn't believe herself, so expecting someone she barely knew to do it was a bit far fetched. "Honestly? I don't care about fighting the grim or protecting people. It's a noble pursuit true, and I know this is cynical of me, but I can't help but to think, why risk your neck for a bunch of strangers who are fully capable of learning how to fight to protect themselves? No, I am looking for a friend of mine whose been missing for a long time. The only clue I have leads me to Beacon, so, here I am. That's all there is to it." Finishing her explanation she looked up at her partner, fully expecting him to frown at her or tell her she was being selfish or some such, that's what most people did, after all.

IC: Red had been watching his face for any signs of scorn, disdain, a sense of arrogance or anything that implied he found himself better than her, which... She just didn't find... Letting a genuinely warm smile spread on her face in place of her usual faked happy one. Hearing what more Edward had to say she raised an eyebrow inquiringly, genuinely curious now as to what his reasons were. "How could you know? It must be good if you're out here risking your neck. So, tell me?"

IC: Seeing the other grew more quiet Red put a hand on his arm, trying to be supportive despite having absolutely no idea what his issue might be about. "And that's a more than fair enough reason, nothing to be ashamed about!" Letting go of the arm with a pat she crossed her own arms behind her head and fell back to walk next to Edward. "You wouldn't believe how many are here purely because they want to be heroes and fight glorious battles while being praised and admired by fools to weak to do it themselves. At least you're here because you want to grow stronger and make like minded friends, and that's as good a reason as any."
