  • ❝ YOU WANT TO END YOUR LIFE NOW AND AGAIN WE TRY❞

    Mirajane grew tense before relaxing as she turned to glance at Edward with a raise of her eyebrow.

    ”Yeah.” She mumbled as she turned to gaze around her with blank eyes, her black hair getting into her face as she brushed it away.

    Sometime she hates her hair and wanted to go bald, though she never have the guts to do that and she liked her hair.. most of the time.

    color=#39FF14]”Are you excited about finding your team?”[/color] She asked softly, her head titled to the side.

    ”speech.”

    ❝ 'CAUSE IT'S NOT TOO LATE IT'S NEVER TOO LATE❞

  • Edward let out a quiet gurarara and gave her a smile "why yes I am, I want to see what they'll be like both in combat and personality" he said kindly as he adjusted his coat on his shoulders due to how it shifted over over the last few minutes he was sat down for "how about you Mirajane, you excited to find your team" he asked kindly while brushing his hair away from his eyes

    OOC:

    IC: The pitter-patter of light booted feet could be heard approaching the cliffside by anyone paying attention to what was going on around them, and they seemed to be in a real hurry to. Coming to a halt as soon as they reached the group of students in waiting. Their owner a short red haired girl leaning forwards and panting heavily, as if out of breath. Stupid bl**dy alarm! Hopefully she hadn't overslept by TO much. At the very least it didn't look like anything had been started yet, a relief... Taking a deep breath Red straightened back up, spinning top clutched in one hand, and started weaving her way trough the crowd of people, trying to overhear anything that might hep her deduce what, if anything, she had missed.

    Further ahead she could see a very tall person standing out in the crowd, seemingly talking to someone to, might be as good place as any to start out with. Before she could make any significant progressing in reaching him her unatural spacy eyes caught sight of something so peculiar she couldn't help but go over and give it a closer look.

    Crouching down in front of what appeared to be a human with a paper bag over his head the girl in the purple raincoat and matching frilly skirt couldn't help but to stare, mesmerized by the strangeness of it. For a while she considered, quite seriously in fact, to reach out and poke the bag, just to see if the boy would respond in any way. Though giving it more thought that seemed like it could go badly, probably... It was really tempting though... "Hi there, just wondering, but are you alive?" She wondered, in the end deciding to at least attempt to follow human greeting protocols and announce her presence out loud.

  • Daredare looked up at the girl in response, his eyes wide behind his mask. "Yes. Of course I'm alive. Well...technically none of us are, but you were referring to my stillness, yes?" He lightly shifted his body, dark yet luminescent black light gleaming out of the bottom of the mask, highly noticeable when he moved about. He seemed a bit shaky at the moment, moving only to fill the empty space in the conversation. "So, uh, know what your Semblance is? I've seen some rather strange ones while here, with the veterans training in the fields." He asked because he wanted the information this time, and not just because it was getting awkward.

    IC: Seeing the boy with the paper bag for a head move Red crossed her arms over her knees and nodded. "Well, technically all of us are just souls driving around in a bag of meat, skin, blood and bones. Which we then just leave to rot as we move on, so technically I wouldn't say we die either. But yea, it's the stillness." She gave the stranger a smile, happy to have found someone that seemed to be of equal mind. At the second question she tilted her head sideways, a habit of hers when pondering, even though it had no practical say in the matter at all. It had just sort of stuck from her past life. "I am going to go with yes, though I won't light the matter on what it is. Nothing against you, but we might just end up fighting each other later so... Hope you understand." She smiled again, not even considering for a moment that some people would take her reply as a personal offence. "How about you? Have you figured out yours yet?"

  • He adjusted the mask a bit, looking downwards. "Yeah. Whenever someone looks me in the eyes they get really scared. That's apparently all there is to it." He looked about, then back at the girl. "That's why I wear this mask, as not to risk someone being scarred for life from just looking at me." He shook his head, the paper rattling slightly in response to the movement. "It's weird."

    IC: At the revelation of the mystery Red snapped her fingers, looking outright trilled. "Oh, so that's why! Was wondering on that. That's a really considerate gesture of you. Although..." She started fidgeting with the toy in her hand, eyes never leaving the boy with the paper mask. "Isn't a paper bag a little risque though? What if it rains? Or there's a storm? It might fly off." She illustrated a bird in flight being tossed around by the winds with her hands as she spoke, though she didn't even seem like she noticed she was doing it. "Wouldn't sunglasses be better? That way they wouldnt get ruined by water, and people could still see your face also. Or, if that isn't your thing, how about googles with darkened mirror glass? Impossible to see trough and wont fall of as easily as sunglasses either!" She made a motion behind her head as to refer to the strap on googles going around the head.

  • ❝ YOU WANT TO END YOUR LIFE NOW AND AGAIN WE TRY❞

    Mirajane shrugged her shoulders as she fiddled with her weapon, looking down with a tilt of her head.

    ”Yeah, I am.” She replied, not giving the whole truth but she didn’t know him enough to give him a truthful answer.

    No, she was not excited to meet her new team, one that might hate her and two, they were annoying idiots....

    ”speech.”

    ❝ 'CAUSE IT'S NOT TOO LATE IT'S NEVER TOO LATE❞

  • Edward chuckled kindly and gave the faunus a smile "well i hope your team is good then, I just hope mine are trustworthy" he said kindly but had a bad memory of one member of his old crew, Marshal or as he was called Blackbeard betraying him, he shook his head subtly to get rid of the memory "very trustworthy" he added standing up slowly before seeing Ozpin walking over from the distance

  • Daredare puzzled behind his mask. "Why bother with expensive goggles when I can just buy more paper bags if they get damaged or rip? I have many paper bags just for the main reason that it's almost certain to be damaged, and it's not like an industrial grade package of paper bags is expensive, I can just buy more, so I don't see why I'd ever want to bother with fancy eyewear that can be as easily damaged as a bag mask that's worth thousands of times more than the mask itself when I can just do what I'm doing now." He stopped when he felt like he was ranting and shut his mouth to let her say her piece, as this was beginning to feel like a one-sided conversation. He rubbed an eye beneath his mask as it had been to itch again, he grunted almost silently, as it had been to become no more than a nuisance than an actual itch. He adjusted his sitting position before closing his eyes for a while.

  • ❝ YOU WANT TO END YOUR LIFE NOW AND AGAIN WE TRY❞

    Mirajane nodded her head softly as she caught sight of Professor Ozpin arriving as he stiffened up. Eyes narrowing as she fixed her beanie before standing up. Dusting herself off as she hooked her weapon onto her special strap that was a belt that wrapped around her body.

    She tilted her head as she crossed her arms over her chest and scooted a little away from everyone, not wanting to be noticed by the others.

    ”speech.”

    ❝ 'CAUSE IT'S NOT TOO LATE IT'S NEVER TOO LATE❞

  • Ozpin arrived at the cliff and looked at the students "seems like everyone's here, now would you all please move over to the pads over there" he said gesturing to a line of metal panels on the ground close to the edge

    Edward nodded and walked over onto the panel with his back straight and bisento in hand...along with his usual toothy grin "come on everybody I want to get to some action" he said letting out a gurara excited to start the initiation "it might be quite fun" he added slightly joking with a smirk

  • ❝ YOU WANT TO END YOUR LIFE NOW AND AGAIN WE TRY❞

    Mirajane rose an eyebrow as she quickly made her way towards the metal platforms, deciding to head to the very last one. She grabbed her weapon, unhooking it as she grasped the handle of her inactive weapon. She didn’t want to activate it just yet, wanting to wait until she went.

    ”speech.”

    ❝ 'CAUSE IT'S NOT TOO LATE IT'S NEVER TOO LATE❞

  • Daredare stood, obviously they would have to continue this conversation later, he stood on one of the platforms with a neutral expression beneath the mask. He held the large case that held his weapon tightly to his side, it seemed to weigh a lot more for some reason. He stood on a platform towards the very back of the row, towards the middle. Whatever they were supposed to, he'd try his best to do it right

    OOC:

    IC: At first intending to follow after the paper bag boy Red turned to walk with him, when someone running past pushed into her hard enough to knock her over. It sent her spinning top toy skidding along the ground, and away from the platforms. Eyes going wide the short girl with the fiery hair weaved trough the thinning crowd with practiced ease in pursuit.

    When she finally got it in hand again, allowing her to let out a deep shaky breath in relief, she found herself to be the last one with no platform. Hissing at herself in frustration she rushed to the only platform still available, position her just in between two people she didn't know. Though, the incredibly tall man with the bisento right next to her she did recognize having at least seen before. Ignoring the teacher she took a head above her head to try and measure how tall the boy really was. To tall for her to even get her fingers at his head height, at least. Looking down the line at both sides it really did seem like he was taller than everyone else, and of course she was still the shortest of them all. Huh, who would have guessed?

  • Edward looked slightly to the side and chuckled kindly with a smirk "hello there miss, just trying to measure yourself I see" he joked quietly with his head still pointed towards Ozpin while still standing completely still listening to Ozpin's speech and let out a gurara when he heard about the landing strategy, he knew what he was going to do for it and he was going to have fun with it, he adjusted his hat ready for when he would be launched

    OOC:

    IC: Red looked up at the taller boy besides her in plain surprise when he spoke to her directly, which she hadn't expected at all. Snapping out of her thoughts at the sound of cheering she looked around her, clearly bewildered. Now what had she missed? Something important the teacher had said, clearly, but what? Gripping tighter around her wooden toy weapon she looked intently at the platform she was standing on, just the same as everyone else. Okay, so a metallic platform at the edge of a cliff, something something which made at least part of the student's cheer, and the other part look absolutely horrified was... What, exactly?

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

  • Edward looked to his left and saw one student getting launched from the platform causing the ex yonko to start grinning very widely in excitement "this is going to be fun, finally time for a challenge" he thought happily crouching slightly as if ready to leap from the platform with a clenched fist then he looked towards the others down the line with the grin still on his face "get ready everyone, time to be initiated" he said loudly before being launched by the platform

  • Daredare raised an eyebrow behind the mask, readying to be launched by moving into position where he held his weapon case behind him. He felt like he'd be launched last, but he felt the platform shift beneath him before it sprang upwards launching him through the air. His eyes twitched wildly behind the mask, glowing brightly as he soared.
