  • It was one thing to have a body with legs. What the heck were legs. How did it operate them? They bent awkwardly, and it had absolutely no idea as to how to even work them. It wobbled and fell over whenever it had to take a break, as for some reason it's wings could actually get tired. It also had a neck, and a spine, and it was all god-awful. What was he supposed to do with all this? Why was it like this?

All that it could remember was that it had been fluttering through the land of Infinity with it's flock, when there had been an ambush of sorts. Lasers had started firing, and Clony after Clony had been incinerated. It left a bad taste in it's mouth to think of it. Another thing it didn't get the idea of, a mouth. It also had a weird flesh thing in it, and it often ended up spitting and snarling angrily as it bit down on such with it's tiny yet sharp teeth. Annoying, all of this.

Colotik had things to do, but right now it was far, far too pissed to even be trying to think logically. It had been flying for god knows how long, and for the love of the holy white rabbit it was wishing there was a mine laying around so it could detonate something. Far as it could tell, there were none around. Yet again, back in the Jungle portion of the BadLands, mines had been few and far between. Honestly, with all these trees, it was thinking that this, too, was a jungle.

It grumbled under it's breath as, yet again, it's lack of knowledge of it's limbs had managed to get it stuck by a leg in an all too convenient set of branches. It had to beat it's wings hard, very hard to keep hovering as it lost it's momentum. It hadn't been all that good at doing it before, and it was even worse now with all the extra weight. It pulled and tugged, but the foot tall mass of fluff couldn't free it's stuck limb. Thus it ended up being hung upside down, it's forelimbs crossed in aggravation.

Back in the BadLands, there were all sorts of wild animals that ran about, doing nothing except standing and watching as Colotik or any other flock of Clony took care of things. Colotik wondered, vaguely, if there was anyone out here. Back during it's first quest through the BadLands, it had helped a friend of his that had been tied up by the foot, a similar situation to the one it was in now. The rabbit had been screaming bloody murder for help.

It didn't want help. It was an independent Clony, it could do whatever it wanted. But it was starting to get frustrated; no that was more like an understatement. "Yooouu are disgrace to plants." That was the best insult it could come up with. It's own voice kind of shocked it, as before it's voice had always been lost in a sea of clicks and screams. Now, it could actually hear it's own voice. Thrilling, absolutely thrilling. "You deserrrrve to burn in land of Infffferno!" Even if it's words didn't sound right at all, that they were too loud for it to seem like it was talking to itself, it still was speech. It didn't know whether it hoped for someone to come along and cut it loose as it did to it's friend, or if it just wanted to vent it's frustration. It didn't know what to do with any of this.

  • She remembered when she came to with Lucy's mind, finding herself trapped in the body of a cat but still a human in her head. She hadn't been able to control her body properly at first, and her freshly broken forelimb hadn't helped matters, nor had the trauma of... everything, really. Getting tortured, thinking she was in a coma, finding herself in an alien world and in a great deal of pain.

Of course, eventually Pippa helped restore her memories, and she understood everything. That she'd been a human named Lucy in a past life, that in this one she was a cat named Selfdestruction. It had both been a relief to get her memories back and horrifying to realize how much time she'd missed.

These days she had different things to be horrified about and make up for.

She'd been patrolling when she came across the Clony, trying not to think of the things that were impossible to forget, though when she heard its voice she couldn't say she wasn't distracted. "That's not very nice." She said, looking up at the odd creature. "You've only just met me." It wasn't talking to her of course, but she was joking. And if it had been talking to her, well, it wasn't wrong.

//couldn't match muse, unfortunately. Welcome to the Skulls, tho!

  • While Colotik had both been and not been hoping it had been heard, the fluffy dragonoid creature let out a huff, even if it did sound more like a grumble. What even was that? It was nothing like it had seen in the BadLands, but that was to be expected as this was not, in fact, the land of question. This was an entirely new area, with people it had never seen and species it had never even met. All species in the BadLands were black in color, with white eyes..or eye. Sometimes they were different colors than white, but only the holy white rabbit was a color that was not, in fact, black. Maybe that was why it was deemed 'holy', even if the Clony flocks had never, not once, seen it raise a paw to stop the destruction of it's home.

Right, the Red Eye. Red was a bad color, a color that it loathed with a passion. Often than not, especially in the land of Inferno, where blazing fire screamed through the sky and bombs and turrets fired like crazy, it would 'puff up' at the sight of red. It was a bit hard to deal with, especially since the entire land of Inferno was that: an inferno. It was very aggravating.

Speaking of aggravating, that brought it's thoughts back to the one standing below where it dangled up in the tree. Seriously. It had never seen something of a species that was similar to that, unless rabbits counted, and even then it was hard to make a similarity. "Wassssn'...wasn' talking to yyyyoou." The fluffy black dragon replied, it's white eyes narrowed. Was the one below it being sarcastic, or serious. It wanted to make sure, even if that would probably be a waste of time to do. "Was talkin' tooo...to th' plant." It further explained, it giving a harsh kick with it's other hind leg. At least it didn't have the feeling of blood rushing to it's head fully blocking out it's thoughts.

Actually, it didn't even know what blood was, fully. Whenever a Clony died in the BadLands, it was either crushed into bits of fluff, incinerated into nothingness, frozen into a compacted ball, or sawed to smithereens. It had never seen any blood when another Clony died in flight next to it. It wasn't sure if that also applied to it's new limbed form. It was still hating it, and it was biting down on the fact that it wanted to loudly scream a swear, just to try to vent off the frustration that it could feel bubbling beneath it's fluffy skin.

"Didn' evennnn see you there. Until like...not evennnn few while agooo." Colotik added after a couple of moments, before launching into another rapid flurry of wingbeats. Maybe it was to cover up the fact that it was still struggling to learn how to use this form, and how to actually speak. The wingbeats did little as again, it was still lodged in the tree's branches by the foot. "Screw you." It internally snarled, along with quite a plethora of not as nice words. It at least could manage the decency to retain them in it's mind. First impressions, while it had done very little, were important, were they not? It thought them to be so.

//it's fine! i tend to get unhealthy amounts of muse in the oddest hours of the night; and thank you very much!

  • //god I'm so sorry for the late reply

Red was actually one of Sel's favorite colors, alongside dark blue, with purple just managing to be her number one favorite. She didn't really dislike any colors, though she did have an affinity for darker ones. For a long time, she'd ask new people what their favorite color was, it was somewhat easy to answer and there were no wrong answers, it wasn't particularly probing and displayed an interest in them and brought them into the conversation, though Xylia had pretty much taken over asking people's favorite colors.

"Of course." Sel agreed, a pleasant smile on her face. She'd been kidding, though her tone hadn't clearly indicated that. "The plant? My my, whatever did the plant do to you?" She asked this, though her eyes had now found Colotik's trapped foot, and she could guess what had it so frustrated with the plant. "Ah. Would you care for some help?"

  • //It's fine; as you can tell I'm late too

The dark, fluffy dragon of sorts had put a slight unamused look on it's face. It didn't exactly like being dangling upside down, the two white eyes it had narrowing a bit. The webbed ears the Colotik possessed gave a slight twitch, the eyes narrowing a little bit more. It was not exactly the best at reading people, mainly because most of the people it knew were either very similar to itself, too annoying for it to care to try, or a machine. Really, it had no practice, so it was not exactly sure what it was to expect.

Yet again, here it was, looking and feeling weird, and having zero idea as to what it was doing here anyways. It was...pretty sure that it had thought that over already. It didn't like it's thoughts going in circles, it reminded it of one time when the vent system it and it's flock had been going through broke, and they had to go through a mess of freezing lasers, buzz saws, flamethrowers, and crushers to get back into the safety of the vents. It still did not know how it had managed to survive through that. It had been quite the adrenaline rush.

Help was something else that Colotik was not familiar with. The only thing it ever needed help with was pushing something out of the way to clear a path, to overbear a machine with pure might in numbers, or to simply just have more company when going through the area. It felt a bit of it's pride being snubbed that it realized that unless it did accept the help, it was going to be hanging there for a while, a very long while. "Iiii woul' like some. If yyyyyou wouldn't miiiyiiiind." It's voice kind of dipped in the middle of the last word, giving it's head a slight shake. It clicked it's tongue against it's teeth, snickering inwardly at the odd sound it could make. Odd noises were fun, it sounded a bit like the clicking that it was used to making.

  • Sel wasn't really in the business of accepting help or giving it - she only accepted it when absolutely necessary, and only gave it when she'd be getting something in return. It wasn't always a tangible something, and it wasn't always noticed until it was gone. But she was the kind of person that took everything she gave and everything that was taken from her.

Did she disclose this, or even really plan on "cashing in" on this little bit of assistance? No. She just darted up the tree and attempted to free Colotik's foot from the plant. "So, what're you doing around here? Passing through?" She asked.

  • //talk about late replies! o.o

Colotik ended up falling right to the floor, it's face slamming right into such. It comedically remained that way before it gave it's feathered wings a beat, realizing that was a bit of an odd position to be in. It sat there, looking a bit awkward as it was not exactly used to having limbs it needed to account for. No, Colotik was used to just flopping on the floor and letting it's wings recede into it's body, never having to worry about any more than just being comfortable.

A webbed ear twitched at the question. "Donnn' remember how I gottttt here." It answered after a few moments. Such was true. "Why...issss this restricted area?" Colotik had bad experiences with restricted areas; the Circle of Death came to mind. A vent had been broken, and it and it's flock had to fly through so many Freeze Lasers, Buzzsaws, and Prickles, that nearly the entire flock had died and been replaced five times over before they had found another vent to safely fly through to continue onward through the Land of Infinity. Not that anywhere was actually safe, that was the whole point of it's flights around the Badlands.

  • Something hit the ground, not too big but definitely bigger than her. Had she heard Sel's voice? And somebody else's, too? Curiosity picqued, she scrambled away from the hole she'd been about to dive into and ran through the undergrowth to the source of the noise and voices. Not having heard any of the previous conversation between the two, the ferret stumbled underneath a wet bundle of leaves and plants just before reaching Sel, and the stranger propped on the forest floor. "Hi there!" She said, waving a forepaw to the creature and swiveling her head to the side to look at him from a slightly different angle. "What's your name? Are you joining the Skulls?"
