    Rosaline "Rosa" Flinns - Twenty-Four - Pink-Blonde Hair + Amber Eyes - Homicide Detective

All of those years of training finally paid off. Rosa was finally entering the job of her dreams. She was going to be a homicide detective. Sure, the job seemed odd for someone like her. The girl was always so cheerful, optimistic and carefree that it would be hard to even associate her with a job such as this. It's just been something she's been dreaming of since she was little. Though, it was probably a bit odd for Rosa's mother to see her daughter wanting such a job, especially in a small little town where nothing happened. Still, she pushed forward and gained scholarships to go to the academy of her dreams. From there, she graduated top of her class, soon leading her off to her new job.

Though, the big city didn't quite suit Rosa. Although, it wasn't like she could do much - her job wasn't going to work out well in her little town. Besides, the girl wanted to spread her wings and fly. She wanted more freedom here than she got earlier on in her life. Though, she was a fish out of water here. Everything was so different - the sights, the sounds, the people. Nobody was nearly as welcoming as she thought. Her optimism wasn't quite killed, though. It wasn't like she'd be seeing these people again, anyway.

It was her first day. Rosa was ecstatic. She practically had to keep herself from running straight into the department. Instead, she tried walking as calmly as she could. The girl didn't look like much of a professional. She didn't own fancy enough clothes, and this place didn't have any uniform for her. Not to mention her hair was kept in a completely messy bun. She stood out even among these people, though she didn't care. She glanced down at her paper, reading the office she was supposed to go to. Huh, this guy has an office? Interesting.

It took Rosa awhile before she found the office. She honestly got lost, having to ask around. It was actually pretty embarrassing for her. She didn't mind it too much. In fact, she figured out where some of the people kept their food, which was accompanied by a coffee pot. She'd kill for some coffee, though she knew that meeting her partner was more important. When she finally found the office, she let out a sigh of relief. Rosa moved over to the door, opening it slowly. She was quick to see a man, who looked like he was waiting in there for her.

"Heya there!" she greeted him, fully aware of how informal she sounded. She just hoped that it wouldn't be a big deal. After all, this was just her first day at work.

-before you ask, this is bxg, so you are required to make a male. If you're interested in this plot but don't like bxg/playing as a male, please feel free to shoot me a message. I don't bite-

*Just jump into the thread! No real form is required, unless you feel like filling one out. All I really ask for is an image, name and age.
*Please, post at least two paragraphs per post. I have a hard time collecting muse for anything less than that.
*Feel free to cuss. It doesn't bother me.
*I'd appreciate our characters being in a similar age range, though it is not required.
*Your grammar doesn't have to be perfect. I know mine isn't. All I really ask is that I'm able to understand you.
*Feel free to tweak a few things about Muse B. Just don't go and completely swap the character on me, alright.
*Keep this site-appropriate, alright? I'm not interested in the crap that could get us banned.
    *Have fun!

  • //This looks super fun!! I'm excited for this. Hope this works as a start. c:

Nyle Venturi - twenty-six - black hair + reddish brown eyes - homicide detective

It was a slow day. There hadn't been any new cases within the past few days, just a bit of tying up loose ends, which was what Nyle was currently sitting at his desk doing. He shuffled through a few stacks of papers, pulling out one of the case files. He looked over the dates, the details- all things dull and tedious. God, how he wished to be doing anything else right now. He signed a couple documents on moving crime scene evidence and heaved a low sigh. He glanced at the time displayed in the corner of his laptop screen. Still early morning.

Deciding he needed a quick break, Nyle stood up and stretched out his arms before emerging from his office. His eyes swept over the open space, checking in on what each of his colleagues was doing. Concluding that nothing was out of the ordinary, he made his way over to the small kitchen, where another worker was brewing a pot of coffee. "Nyle!" he exclaimed, already too cheery for the lead detective's taste. "Heard your new partner was coming in today, that's gotta be exciting, huh? Bet she's gonna be a real cutie, we could sure use a good-looking girl around here."

It took everything in him not to roll his eyes. "Don't know, don't really care," Nyle stated bluntly, moving to fill his mug. "And it shouldn't matter to you, anyway. She's hardly going to be around if I can help it." He turned his back and returned to his private office, ignoring the way his coworkers whispered prayers that the rookie wouldn't be anything like the surly detective.

Frankly, he took it as an insult that he was to be paired with anyone else, and as if to make it worse, she had to be considerably more inexperienced, with no prior knowledge of the city and how things worked there. He let out a huff of frustration, running his fingers through his mess of hair as he sat back down to work. Checking the time, it only made him increasingly annoyed to see that whomever this Rosaline girl was, was late. Not a great way to start off what Nyle was positive would be a poor relationship.

And then, there's a gentle sound at the door and he looks up to see her. This was who they sent to work with him? She looked nothing short of young and naïve, hardly the type to be on the scene of a homicide. He had heard that she had graduated with highest honors at her academy, but that had to be her only redeeming quality. He narrowed his eyes skeptically as she greeted him with enthusiasm. No. There was no way this was going to work. "You're late," he stated, his tone harsh and icy. "Rosaline, I take it?"
