  • The sea was dark at the bottom, lonely and cold. Deepsea had named himself after his home, his way of life, who he was. He had been a cold and lonely being in the sea, the white feline always staying to himself, sinking deeper with time. Eventually he found the bottom, and above the water he could hear voices. Rough voices that spoke of words he did not understand. It had always intrigued the feline as he had never spoke before. Swimming up, but not too close to surface, he had caught sight of something, and his heart started to beat.

That life changing moment was days ago, and Deepsea had been building up the courage to emerge from his home. The comforting dark of the sea would be missed, but he was ready for the bright colors and warmth of the world above. What he saw was his true love, or something that resembled them. Whatever it was, it had given the feline emotions. He was now ready. Swimming up faster and faster, he gained the heart not to sink any further, and emerged from the sea with a great splash. Sea foam green eyes stared at the world before him, taking in every rich color that wasn't blue. Landing on the beach, Deepsea had coughed and heaved until his body adjusted to the oxygen in the air around him.

This was a new world, a new life, a new him.

//Hiya! I hope this was an okay joining post!

The beaches were pretty. They reminded him of the ones they had in Westeros, his home. Sure he missed it and might as well return to more familiar lands but it wasn't time yet. He still felt like shit and wasn't ready to set foot on the territory of the clan that supported his brother's killer as a king of Westeros. Of course, the Lynderly was dead but it still struck a cord with him. Whoever stood happily under the border collie's rule was an idiot for not seeing the obvious murderous intentions of the deceased Lynderly. He did not want to drown amidst idiocy just yet.

As he strolled down the strip of sand, the pale golden pelted wildcat would stew in his tumultuous thought. However, a louder splashing would catch his attention rather quickly. He spotted a pale feline emerging from the ocean as if they returned from a pleasant swim. It was a stranger, so he might as well go ahead and learn their name after all, he wasn't leaving this place any time soon. "Hey," the youthful lion would offer as he approached the soaked feline, "how's the water?"

  • Sel appreciated the beach and sea not just for their beauty, but for their clarity. No, the blue waves weren't transparent enough that she could see through them to the marine life below, and the tropical sun hadn't turned the sand to glass, they weren't clear in that sense. They marked the borders in a very clear, very visual way. And even though Sel had been there long enough to know where the borders were without being able to smell the scent markers or rely on visual cues, she still liked it.

The feline padded over upon hearing Maegor's voice, peering curiously at the stranger. "What's ya name?" She asked, sitting down next to the water.

//it's great and welcome to the Skulls! If there's anything you want or need, chatting, plots, questions, feel free to shoot me a message!

  • What came out of the water? Was that what it looked like? Curiosity piqued, she dropped the pawful of rope she'd been carrying along the beach and went over to investigate. She almost turned back around at seeing Sel already present, but then she gave herself a firm shake and scrambled the rest of the way over to stand a few paces from Maegor. Was this stranger here to join? Did they like shiny things? If they lived underwater, how many unique objects did they come across below the water's surface? The questions tumbled about in her head, but she didn't bring up one of them while she waited for somebody to say something. Had they all exchanged names already? "Hello!" She said, getting up on her hind legs and smiling at the feline.

  • These faces and different creatures forming around him was exciting, but none were the one he had saw from below. That was disappointing. Nonetheless, Deepsea would try to answer their questions. Or what he assumed was a question. The way it tipped at the end of their sentences made it seem so. "W....wa- ter......?" That was what the essence of his home was? How would he describe it? It was a void almost. "D..a..r..k..." Speaking was new to the feline, so it took him a while to figure out what these words were and how he should say them.

Another question this time came from a different animal. Many of the new colors reflected in his vision had been a joyous sight, along with fresh faces that were not of the aquatic species. The beach before him was made of sand, something at the bottom of his home. It was soft and comforting to sleep in, cool in the ocean but warm on land. This whole world was beautiful so far. Getting distracted from the question, the male focused back onto Sel and answered in a rather weird way, by taking a while to pronounce everything. "N..na- me...be...Deeeeeeeps- s- ea..." that was his name, right? A name was something you used to call someone, right? All of these questions didn't seem to fit in this situation, and he would have to ask about his grammar later.

"Neeeeeed pla-..aceeee, to..o... sta..a..y" Now that Deepsea had left his home, there was no where else for him to be. Even with all of his curiosity of the land and creatures on it, he still loved the ocean. The pale feline had also noticed a third creature approach, this time being a rather small one. She had called something towards the group, to which he thought was a greeting, but didn't know what to say back. Looking in his mind-list of words he knew, none of them were for a response to a greeting.

  • The stranger spoke in a very slow, almost unsure manner. Maybe English wasn't his first language, or he was otherwise still learning it? She wasn't judging - they all started somewhere. "Deepsea, huh? I'm Sel." Contrary to the pale feline, her voice was fast, but with a bit of a lazy accent. "Y' can stay here if ya want, we'd welcome you to our crew." If he wanted to find somewhere else... something would have to be figured out, then.

  • And you i knew- took up all of me with no apologies

Watching someone crawl from the depths of the ocean wasn't common, but with the way it was handled one would think it was. Calla shook her head lightly at the thought, trotting up beside sel and stopping short of the captain. A curious look crossed her features, however muffled by the blind across her eyes. "Deepsea." Calla repeated the name lightly, schooling the other with a small nod as well as tasting the name and how ot rolled off her own tongue. Her voice was meticulous, careful-guarded. As it always would be.

After a moment of deciding something- calla dipped her head to an almost bow, letting it rest there as she chocked it slightly. She didn't need to see the other, yet there was some necessity to have her eyes in view of the other's gaze. "Would you like a tour of the place?"
