(Oh, ok)
Lion basked in the sunlight, lying on his back, exposing his belly fur. He didn't have much going on, so he didn't mind if someone came to talk to him or do something with him. Lion flicked an ear, a fly was bothering his face.
-
(and so it begins cx)
Sherlock lazed about under a spot of shade, his eyelids draped over his eyes, all but concealing them from view. While he looked like he was sleeping, Sherlock was most definitely not. With his lazing eyes, he scanned the members of the camp with expert precision, noting and deducting each and every movement.
Across the camp from him laid another creature, a pink lion. Watching the lion through half slit eyes, Holmes noted his relaxed yet bored expression, practically begging for a companion. However, Sherlock opted not to approach him as it was not in his interests at the moment.
(sorry for the awkward post; I'm terribly distracted right now cx ^^;)

marie parts her jaws in a big yawn, as she rolls over onto her side. she is laying atop a rock, sunning herself in warm, noontime light. she is fairly certain that she won't be doing much today. not because she doesn't have any chores to do around camp, she just chooses to be lazy.
-
(nah, it k ;D)
Lion rolled onto his belly and scanned his surroundings. God I'm bored... He then noticed a tree not that far off, not noticing the creature under it. "Raaow?" He perked up. It was a rather large tree. He thought it wouldn't be that bad to do a little climbing. Lion pranced up to the tree and jumped up to the first branch. He then clawed and jumped a little ways up the tree, when he stepped on a fragile branch due to not paying attention. "Grrraa!" He rumbled as he fell, and tried to catch branches on his way down, but failed to do so. Oh god... oh crap... Suddenly he fell through the air and landed right on top of the creature. They were now nose to nose.

(Okami's going to be so confused Okami: Who are all these people? Why do they all look weird? XD)
Okami was just strolling around. She decided to make it extra sunny today, just to shake things up a bit. She was debating on keeping it that way for the rest of the week, but she didn't want to sun out everybody. Who doesn't like warmth, but I guess everyone has their preferences... As she strolled around, flowers growing and and then vanishing with each placement of her paws, she came acrossed an odd looking mortal cat lying out in the sun, relaxing. Odd, I didn't think cat's could be green? Could she be another god? How don't I know her? Curious, okami transformed into a cat (as to not startle the creature as much as possible) and approached cautiously. "Mrrow?" She said. Idiot, speak words... *clears throat* "I don't believe we have met, would you care to talk?" She sat next to the rock, head tilted.
-
btw, those that don't believe in gods see Okami as only a normal white animal until they begin to believe.
-
Sherlock jumped back from the large cat that had landed on him. For all his intuition, it had simply escaped his mind that a lion might fall from a tree. Cursing himself for his blunder, he parted his maw and spoke to the character.
"Great heavens, you've startled me," said Holmes, flicking his sleek long tail once. Glancing up, he noticed the branch that had snapped, and suddenly pieced together the path the lion had taken whilst Holmes was lost in his thoughts. Silently Holmes mused at how the lion could have missed noticing that such a fragile branch could not possibly bear his weight, and instead continued saying, "What a rather nice tree, don't you think?"
-
Lion backed away, letting the rather small cat get up. He lowered his head apologetically and his ears flopped, embarrassed. He listened to the cat speak, and was curious at his accent and speech. He looked up at the tree, and nodded to the brown cat's statement whilst grumbling a soft, "Yeah..." He then looked back the cat, "S-sorry..." He scratched at the ground awkwardly, hoping the cat would break the awkwardness for him... He was really shy...
-
marie lets out a soft groan as she rolls to the other side to face the newcomer. she slowly opens her eyes to reveal a sleek, white cat.
"hmm, yeah i don't think we've met," she replies groggily. "what's your name buddy?"
-
The white cat dipped her head, as custom, and replied, "Well, today is your lucky day young mortal, for I am Okami Amaterasu, god of the sun and earth." Okami then tilted her head, "I was wondering what your name might be, for I have never come acrossed a a god such as yourself, or mortal for that matter." She waited for the mortal's response. Not everyone believes in gods, so the odd green cat may not see her as one.
-
Sherlock watched the Lion's apologetic and nervous antics for a moment, and responded in what he hoped to be a soothing way. "Worry not, my pink friend. While your fall could have been easily avoided, and rather likewise should have, I have no ill will towards you," Sherlock reassured the lion, and made to awkwardly put his tail on the latter's shoulder, as he could see all the big cat needed was a break in the tension.
-
EDIT
Lion made a small smile, "Thank you.." He mumbled just audible. He then asked a little hesitant, "W-what's your name?" He looked at the ground.
-
marie takes a moment to process this. she doesn't really believe in gods and goddesses, and she's come across plenty of creatures who believe they are gods, so she's not totally convinced. however, she chooses to play along for now.
"name's marie," she replies simply. "goddess of long naps and sarcasm."
her words drip with the same sarcasm she claims to govern as a goddess.
-
The cat's response only made the god even more confused, but she heard the sarcasm in her voice, so she somewhat believed her, "God of... sarcasm? That's a new one. What can you do with sarcasm that helps or hurts mortals?" This got Okami thinking... could this be an evil god? Could that be why I've never heard of her before?
