Throughout the centuries dragons have reigned, those of the east and west have never come in contact with each other, but as two new groups of dragons settle into a mountainous valley, this will soon not be the case. They were fine living alongside each other for the past decade or so, but after a devastating fire that burned up a good portion of land, mostly on the east side, and an incoming winter the two groups have been at odds with each other. The easterners claiming that the wests started the fire and should be reprimanded for their deed. The westerners deny this accusation and argue for driving the easterners from their home as prey becomes more and more scarce. On top of all that's happened, the former queens have both been challenged and defeated, leaving their inexperienced heirs in their places.
Will they kill each other off, or find compromise? You decide!
W E S T
The Wests are dragons of the european variant describing them as large and lizard-like with the addition of wings and, commonly, fiery breath. Wests pride themselves on their nobility as a common trait amongst them is a strong moral compass that, in all recorded history, has been compromised only thrice. They are social creatures and share strong bonds with those around them, not willing to sacrifice even a single member of their family. However they have fiery tempers and will take to setting their surroundings ablaze, even going on rage fueled rampages that leave the earth blackened and burned. They are also thought to be rather greedy as they collect precious gems and metals to be hoarded and often times their temper is set off by a stolen item, whether it be a large clutch of diamonds to a copper coin. They come in earth and metallic colors of brown, bronze, green, copper, etc. With fiery eyes. They make their home in a rocky mountain and have claimed the surrounding forest below, as well as a portion of the plains. Their main food source being rabbits, birds, deer, etc.
QUEEN [0]
- Junko "June" Izumi || 28 || Female || Pansexual || scar.
The queen is the ultimate ruler of the group and makes all of the major decisions. She is deeply respected and her word is the law. She seeks advice from the warlord, huntsmaster, and medicinal, but has the final say. It is her job, not only to provide leadership, but make sure that her group is doing well, and negotiate with neighboring groups. She also decides, with the leads' input, what rank fledglings will take. Always female.
HEIRS [0]
The heirs, while most often are the offspring of the queen, are the candidates for future queen. They are respected, but hold little power within the group and will usually have a secondary rank. E A S T
The Easts are more akin to the dragons depicted in various asian art, being more mammalian with serpent-like bodies and the ability to fly without wings. Easts are known for their vast intelligence and collection of knowledge, whether through words, or written work. Age is valued as it means that, that dragon has had more experiences. They are peaceful creatures, they don't even consume meat, with endless patience for minor and major irritations. However their pacifist ways can turn to indecision on important matters, as they do not like to act hastily and will hold back on any outward aggression. Even something as a mercy killing for a newborn chick can turn into a days long debate in which the chick will have likely died by itself or have been adopted. They are anti-social towards outsiders, acting cold and aloof, generally unwilling to hear them out and becoming secluded to themselves in the process. Color-wise they resemble the sky and the rivers the mar the earth in shades of pale pink, clear blue, purple, indigo, etc. Their eyes are clear and pale in coloration. They find themselves at home in the planes and the territory surrounding a large lake with clean blue water. They are primarily vegetarian, but will consume fish and eggs if necessary.
