Ah, the Wedding Reception. Something to make up for getting your dearest friends and family watch you walk down the aisle and proclaim an eternal bond with another for an hour or two straight. It was all tradition, of course, and Lottie was thrilled to have had such a wonderful group of people who cared about her, and who she, in return, cared about as well. But she couldn't, of course, just have the ceremony and call it a day. It was a day worth remembering, and being around the people you loved most.
An area had been cleared for the reception, or the after-party, in which a long table had been set up for the wedding party itself, with smaller tables settled around for the rest of the couples or groups that wished to sit with one another. Another long table off to the side was piled high with food: roast meats, veggies, and all the sides one could ever wish, plus a few small treats to tide people over. There were refreshments as well, punch and water for the children (or non-alcoholics), and wines and other more adult drinks for the older ones- though, after some recent events involving alcohol and parties, there would be gently imposed restrictions to those that were starting to get a little rowdy.
By the banquet table was another small end table reserved for the wedding cake, three tiers high and decorated simply with white and red frosting with roses. One layer was plain vanilla, another was a strawberry shortcake, and the last was a boston creme; lottie and Ala's favorites, plus something plain for ones who may not be so appeased to extravagent flavors. Decorations, too, were set up around the clearing, with roses on the tables in little vases, fairy lights tangled up in trees and across the clearing to provide light, a rather simple, but rustic feel to it all. It didn't need to be otherworldly extravagent, after all.
And last but not least, Jersey was responsible for the music for the night, though it wouldn't be going constantly as to allow him to enjoy the wedding party as well, but a few dances, some background music from time to time. Max, as well, was involved, being the wedding photographer of the night to capture the event, or groups of friends that wanted to keep memories. Lottie was already there, soon with Alastor at her side, and followed in short time by the rest of the Wedding Party and guests. It was time to have some fun!
TL;DR: Wedding party! Lots of food, fancy decorations, and music!
