Rosekit blinked her sleepy blue eyes open and yawned, revealing her needle-sharp kit teeth. She stood on her slender paws and stretched out her body. She was confused as to where her littermates had gone, she missed the warmth and comfort that they provided. Well, she thought, let's go find them. I am five moons after all. So the young white molly padded out of the nursery confidently, despite only have been out of the nursery a few times before. She peered out of the nursery first, taking in the busy camp life, but didn't spot her siblings anywhere. Taking more steps out Rosekits attention was caught by a rolling mossball. With all focus on the ball she, with quite terrible uncoordination, jumped straight up into the air, attempting to pounce on the helpless ball. Her plan, however, didn't go very accordingly and she came to a hard plop right back down on the ground, a disappointing few inches away from the mossball. Rosekit sat up with a huff and flicked her ear in annoyance. Stupid moss ball.

Sorrelkit was hiding in the shadows next to Rosekit, watching as her sister attempted to catch the mossball. The three moon old kitten waited for the right moment to pounce, and finally it came. She wriggled her haunches and leaped onto her sister, claws sheathed, with a playful grin on her face. "I got you!" she crowed, battering Rosekit with soft paws.

sometimes the light's all shining on me
stormpaw watched the kits with an amused expression, finishing up a mouse that he had been eating. sometimes he missed those days he had spent in the nursery, back when the only thing he had to worry about was what to play next. he had told himself that he would never wish he was a kit again once he was an apprentice, but looking back now, he wished that he could go back and revisit those days. there was no use in thinking about that now, however. getting up and padding over to the kits who were play fighting on the ground, he let out a purr. "nice sneak attack, sorrelkit!"

Rosekit went tumbling to the ground with Sorrelkits pounce laughing. "Sorrel!" She protested, giving her sisters ear an affectionate lick. She stopped though when Stormpaw spoke to her sister, "Hey what about me?" she asked looking angrily at the mossball, "You should give me some pointers," she suggested, looking hopefully at the apprentice. She knew he was being taught some stuff now, he was an apprentice after all, and what was the harm and getting a head start.

Raccoonkit was busy playing moss ball by himself near the apprentice's den when the two sisters, Sorrelkit and Rosekit started play-fighting. He heard his adoptive brother, Stormpaw, greet them and decided to make his way over to see if any of them would like to play a game of moss ball with him. Seeing they already had one, he left his where he'd thrown it and dashed over to the two she-kits and the apprentice. "Maybe we could start a game of moss ball and then Stormpaw could show us how it's done," he said, looking up at his brother hopefully.
