  • London was someone who could often be found wandering the islands, and that is what she had been doing. Well, she that was what she had been before she'd screamed, bled, and burst into tears. She was had been happy and curious, but now she was just scared and lonely and in pain. One wouldn't expect her to do something that put her in danger, but she just didn't know any better. They weren't lying when they said curiosity killed the cat. She wasn't dead, not even close, but her curiosity had been her undoing. She'd learn be more careful in the future.

She'd found a trap, one of those that would snap shut when pressure was put on the button at the center. London had been trying to investigate it, and figure what it was for. It was the first time she'd seen anything like it, so of course she was curious. She'd just meant to tap on it to see what it would do, but she hadn't moved out of the way fast enough. Probably should have poked it with a stick instead. Pain pierced through her right leg, and a shrill shriek pierced the air filled with agony. She'd never been seriously injured before, or even injured in general.

It was quite a leap from perfectly healthy to a really badly broken leg. She couldn't quite comprehend what was happening, but it caused piercing pain through her leg, and she didn't like it one bit. It didn't take long for her to start panicking and trying to pull her leg out of the trap, but it only made the pain worse. A sob choked her, and tears began rolling down the child's cheeks. It hurt. So much. She tried not to start full out bawling, but breaking her leg was absolutely agonizing. The weeping child looked around frantically, trying to find someone to help her, but her head hurt and she felt dizzy. She just hoped her crying would attract some attention because she felt too sick to do anything else.

  • Everything usually ended up being blamed on him. Demons meant bad luck, right? That seemed to be the case when his ears picked up a faint wailing, and, in an attempt to be a good Samaritan, Pad decided to investigate. What he didn't expect, parting through the ferns to view into the clearing, was London to have been caught in another trap. One of his traps. Not for classmates this time, but for prey. It was supposed to help, not harm. "Shit." A tone of panic crept into his rasping voice, not for the albino, but rather for him. It was bad enough after the fish net incident, and now this? This wasn't even intended. If he acted quick enough maybe no one would ever find out.

He hurried to her side, not caring about London at all, his glowing eyes were trained on the clamp around her now crooked leg. It was reminiscent of a bear trap, designed to hold whatever it caught in one place until the owner came to put the prey out of its misery. Of course she had to trigger the difficult one. He reached out to begin pulling its jaws apart, but she kept squirming. At first, he tried to maintain calm in his words, uttering, "Hold still." London didn't seem to want to stop struggling, so this time, he barked, an ethereal echo worming its way into his speech. "I said, hold still!" He didn't want to make the situation even more scary, but Pad needed her to cooperate. As soon as she stopped moving, he set to work, trying not to disturb the obviously fractured leg too much. He began to dig his paws into the clamped opening, but it would take a long time to actually pry it apart. Gritting his teeth, he tried to find a position with the most leverage, and started to separate the trap. It would be nice if someone came along to help, but it would also mean he would have to face consequences for a misunderstood action.

Fortunately for the other, Kageyama wasn't concerned on who did it or what did it. What he cared about was getting the child out of the trap and quickly. Kageyama had heard the cries from not too far away, as he spent his days wandering the area boredly until something happened - which it always did, around here. When he heard the curse, Kageyama really moved, picking up speed. The Siberian Husky broke through to the area, glancing about for a moment before leaping forward.

"London, listen to be. You'll be alright, just uh.. breathe. Focus on me and breathe." That was what- who said? Kageyama frowned and swayed. Those words were so innocent, kind and soft. That certainly wasn't KAgeyama, but someone he knew well. Someone who had cared for him before, and it wasn't a mother. A motherly figure. He didn't understand this memory, so pushing the idea down, Kageyama moved to the trap too. He placed it paws on the trap, beginning to push with all his strength as well. He grit his teeth, glancing to the other pushing it apart to see if anything actually helped to open it.

  • wi had been wandering around, as per usual, when a scream split the air. it was one that made your blood curl. the only time his blood had curled before was when ra ra had been taken. he hurried on his way, eventually speeding up to a sprint as he scrambled to a stop, eyes landing on a screaming london, a crouching kageyama, and a pad trying to help. that was weird. he shook his head at the oddity of the situation, instead focusing on the direness of it as he rushed over. his head swiveled between the two helping, but went for the more physical approach. he dropped low, attempting to see what pad was doing. "i'll help, what do you need me to do?" the young lion questioned, fiery amber optics flickering about as he tried to understand the trap.

  • Two more creatures came to help, just great. One went to comfort London, before assisting him. There was an inch open now, but it would be a quicker process if he had thumbs. Dammit, he could shift into a human if there was just one witness, but with Kageyama and Wimund? Might as well hire Wildyonder to expose him. The Riverclanner caught his attention, and Pad tried not to snap back. He had to relax himself mentally before responding, "It should be attached to a stake somewhere, if you could dig it up, this would be a helluva lot easier." He was already growing sore from straining his form too much, but he still had enough energy left in him to continue pulling the trap's clamp apart, and with the added help of Kageyama, their paws were able to add another inch to the opening in the trap. That made two inches. Could London slip out of it herself, or did she need to be helped away? He gave a questioning glance towards the whimpering snow leopard, arms practically trembling with the amount of force needed to keep the trap from snapping back down on her leg.

  • London calmed down a little when she noticed that she wasn't alone anymore, and eventually stopped fidgeting. She attempted to smile as Kageyama tried to help, but her leg still hurt and the sniffles were still there. Once there was a little bit of wiggle room for her leg, the child tried to move it. It was very badly fractured, her tiny leg having been chomped by metal, and the bones almost completely shattered. Her whimpering grew louder, and she pulled her injured leg out of the trap in one sharp motion, kind of like ripping off a band aid. Once her leg was out she lost her balance falling onto her back as a gross sob choked her once more. "Thanks." she mumbled softly, getting back to her feet. The world seemed to be spinning around her, but she needed to get back to camp. She'd completely lost all sense of direction, but she tried limping anyway, stumbling as she wasn't used to being so unbalanced.

He tried to offer a return grin, but instead, he didn't manage to make it calming. However, his eyes were warm enough to calm, if they observed. A gasp tore from him as London began to struggle, and forced the trap open wider just enough so it was easier. Once she was out, her legs trembling, he let the trap inch back together before letting go. "London, London no, don't move." He said, scrambling after her.

"Lon, you can't move like this. We need to set your leg before it gets worse." He tried to explain, desperatly, so she didn't hurt herself more. Kageyama didn't know the correct way to set a leg, but he had the faintest idea. He glanced around quickly, trying to locate a stick and some tough grass- maybe a vine. He knew he wasn't qualified for this, but he had to stay calm. "Wi, can you run for someone- a medic preferably, please?" Kageyama glanced towards Wi, eyes wide.

  • "uhh.." that had all gone rather quickly. however, london squirmed her way out of the trap and was now on her way to camp? what? what was she thinking? he glanced towards kage, nodding and taking off, heading to camp to ask around frantically for medics.

  • The commotion was enough to draw Lottie over- granted once she had returned to camp after gathering herbs from the old territory. It was on her way towards the shouting and such that she would undoubtedly run into London, who, sight as she was, wasn't hard to miss. "London!" she called out, hoping to catch the young girl's attention. "What happened, let's get you patched up!" It was clear her leg had been injured in some way, though she had missed the particulars of what had caused such a grevious injury.

  • London was confused as to why she shouldn't move. She knew she needed a medic, but wouldn't it be easier if they were closer to the medical den. She stopped though, as she heard Kageyama say Lon. She'd never been called that before. She wanted to take a moment to appreciate the nickname, but her leg hurt and Lottie had called her name, so she didn't exactly have time to. Was she supposed to move now? She began to hobble over to the head medic, wincing anytime her injured leg touched the ground. A small smile formed at the child's lips, but it was covered up by the tears and the pain in her face.

  • His job was done. He released the trap, allowing it to ensnare nothing as he flinched away. God, he felt woozy. That was the price to pay for overexerting his physical form. Seeing that Lottie had already arrived to care for London, he began to back up, trying to remind his center of balance. Pad would recover quickly of course, he just needed to take a breather, but his eyes scanned over the break on London's leg. It looked painful. He kept his silence as he observed the leg be set, and although he wanted to leave immediately, some part of him wanted to stay and watch.

  • As London came near, the head medic's head lifted to bow in thanks to those that had helped the younger member of BlizzardClan free herself from a painful situation. "You're very brave, sweetie, hello," Lottie would finally greet her as she came over, matching her smile as she flicked her tail out to brush away some of her tears. "I'm going to have you lay down on your uninjured side, okay?" she instructed gently, keeping her voice calm and quiet as she dug through her bag for her supply of poppy seeds, waiting for London to follow her instructions before offering them out her her to take. "You can have some poppy while I look at your leg, and then I'll fix it, and then we'll go get some cookies, how does that sound?" she offered, attempting to make this seem like it would be no more than a few minutes, a simple fix, and they'd be on their way.

He nodded his thank to Wi, before blowing out a load of hot air as Lottie showed up. He relaxed considerably, the fear in his bones disappearing. He glanced back to London as she stumbled at his nickname, and gave her a brief smile. He followed her closely, wary of her falling over. He took little notice of Pad, knowing that he could handle himself for a moment. "You'll be alright, Lon." Kageyama said quietly, nodding to the child. He took a few steps back, then sighed to himself. His head was starting to hurt agian.

Kageyama shifted, then padded up next to Pad, taking a seat and giving his front legs a rest. He said nothing, knowing sometimes it was better for silence to reign then to break it into awkward conversation.

  • London nodded as Lottie instructed her, and attempted to gently ease her way to the ground. It didn't really work though, and she kind of just flopped onto her uninjured side. She then ate the poppy seeds Lottie offered her. She smiled at the medic, wondering how she could make it sound like it was nothing. London wished she could believe that it would be a simple fix, but she kind of doubted it. Cookies sounded nice though. She remembered eating one of Molly's cookies, and it was really good. She wondered if she'd ever get the chance to make cookies, it sounded like it would be fun.

  • "I won't lie, it might hurt a little bit, but I'll try to go quick, okay?" she murmured gently, brushing a paw gingerly along the side of her leg to get an idea of what the break was like. Though, she gave it a few minutes, letting the pain killer kick in while she grabbed the bandages that she would need before the medic gave London a little nod. "Deep breath now, won't take long," she offered lightly, before taking a hold of London's leg to carefully pull it back into place. Once done, the medic would quickly start to splint it and wrap it so it didn't move after. "There, all done."

//Rushed!! Can Lottie gather up all the Blizz Children for a cookie baking day? :o
