Name: His name is Newt, a name that literally means "a small salamander."
Age: 4 years
Gender: Male
Species: Burrowing Owl
Rank: Deputy
Appearance: A small owl with big yellow eyes, Newt stands only at a height of about ten inches tall, and weighs about six ounces. His legs are long and skinny, with sharp talons at the end of each of his toes. His feathers are a muddy brown in color, and are painted in a lighter spotting that almost resembles sand. He has a wingspan of twenty-three inches.
Personality: Newt is perhaps one of the more... tougher owls of the tree. He is a serious and rather formal soul, despite the goofy nature of his species. He is known for not knowing when — or perhaps he doesn't know how — to lighten up, and is often told he needs to do so by the owls around him. He wears quite the hot head on his shoulders, and can become very grumpy if his feathers were to be rubbed the wrong way. However, his loyalty to the tree cannot be questioned; he would do anything for it, even die if the cause demanded such a sacrifice. Bravery flows heavily through this owl's veins, and despite his lack of size, he makes for a very formidable opponent. Newt is quite intelligent, and is known to give wonderful advice to those that need it; he has a very strategic mind, and can be an excellent mentor if placed in a situation where teaching is required of him. He takes his work as surely as a storm brings rain, and makes certain to do any task he is given to the best of his ability, and then some. If an owl were to tell him to do something, they can expect that it will get done, and better than anyone else could have.

other: I wanted to give some diversity between the owls, and I adore burrowing owls, so I hope you like him! <3
