Pie flavored Pie

It's a cool summer night in the old industrial area of New York city. Among the rubble and abandoned buildings two humanoid beings are seen at what looks like a makeshift skate park made out of old production lines and conveyor systems.

One of the beings, an anthropomorphic lynx-point cat, was trying to figure out a trick on her skateboard while the other, an anthropomorphic bold-stripe gecko was looking through the detritus for useful objects to craft into something she needed.

A few buildings away, a heavily modified black 70's two-door coupe pulls onto the sidewalk, engine grumbling with the low whine of a supercharger before falling silent.

A figure steps out of the car into the darkness and starts sneaking towards the impromptu skate park.

???: (talks into a phone) Are you sure my bum's not going to get kicked? I'm too pretty to die.

???: Relax little buddy you'll be fine as long as they don't crave succulent human flesh.

???: Very funny Vegas. (crouches behind some rubble) Well, I see 'em. Now what?

Vegas: Do you think they'll be a problem when you meet our compadré?

???: More than likely seeing as he wanted to meet here specifically. Speaking of which, where is he?

Vegas: I haven't seen them. Keep an eye out for trouble.

???: over & out big guy.

"You're making a lot of noise, Felice." Vittoria took a sidelong glance at her newfound and reckless friend. The tone in her voice had more warning than annoyance.

Felice rumbled on the conveyor path that passed over Vittoria's head, the wheels pounding every seam in the belt. "I can't hear you over this awesome rig. Come again?" She was gone before the last words left her mouth, ducking to fit into a narrow space where conveyors overlapped, then she was away.

The striped, lavender gecko huffed. "You say that no one comes here? I find that hard to believe." Vittoria held up a chunk of rusted piping for inspection. "There was a section of pipe here last week that I *suddenly* cant find."
Her feline friend suddenly got her hearing back, replying, "You mean that one piece you told me not to take or else I'd get punched?"
    "Yeah, that one."
"Cant help ya!" her broad smile was incredibly unhelpful as it led Vittoria to think she was lying. She saw Felice across the makeshift park, kick-flipping over an obstacle while doing that stupid giggle she hated, as it usually meant Felice was up to something. Vittoria took one last look at that rusty pipe before relocating Felice, and testing its weight in her hand. "Are you sure?"
    "Totally sure!" Aerial 360. "Woohoo!"
    "Right."

The rusty pipe was now flying at Felice, missing her right shoulder just barely.
"!!!" Felice skidded to a stop. "What the heck?!" I didn't take it! I swear!"
"I cant take the cold like I used to, I'm a fre--!" The gecko girl stopped. Felice turned around to follow her friend's gaze.

Someone had moved out from behind something where the pipe landed. Felice got ready to bolt, and Vittoria instinctively raised her fists.

Pie favored Pie

The figure behind the rubble is startled by the pipe landing nearby and quietly gulps in fear when they hear the silence.

Anticipating something about to happen the figure looks around for anywhere to hide or any doors to run to for a speedy exit, however as the seconds tick by he realizes that he's quickly running out of options.

tabi2

The cat crouched instinctively, using her deep blue eyes to scan the rubble. She took the skateboard into her hand, leaning over the ledge to look below.
Vittoria moved toward the hidden stranger, calling, "I saw you." The gecko mutant stopped, picking up a long piece of metal scrap. "I don't like strangers that much, but I like those who wish to hide themselves a -lot- less."

Felice's eyes locked onto the stranger. Silently, she looked back at Vittoria and pointed.

Pie flavored Pie

It was at that moment that the thundering sound of a large-caliber rifle sounded from outside the factory. Seeing an opportunity, the figure ran out from the rubble and towards some cover near to a door.

tabi2

It was at that moment any bystander could learn what kind of person either of them were: Felice, after a hard flinch, picked up her board and removed herself from any possible danger, moving with the swiftness of someone who could see very well, and was very coordinated.

Vittoria, however, pulled up hood up then made her way toward the origin of that noise, stopping behind scrap and junk to take cover. She swapped out the metal scrap for a sturdier pipe. Her hood was up for the small chance that they didn't get a good look at her, and that they, whoever they were, may likely be human. Despite her tail giving away her non-humanness, something about the face really gets to people. That knowledge is thanks to experience.

Felice peeked out from behind a large piece of discarded sheet metal. There they were--a silhouette crouching in cover. Vittoria was close to them. She caught her eye, then began making gestures to her gecko friend about particulars. Felice held her hand a certain height off the ground, indicating height, or lowness. Then, she made a walking gesture with her fingers, before holding up the number 4. Four paces away.

Vittoria nodded. She grabbed three more pieces of scrap, tested their weight in her hands, and then tossed them to the spot where the intruder was. Hoping to lure them out, she jumped out from cover, readying that pipe to swing at any moment. Most likely at the intruder's hands--they did just hear gunshots, after all. It'd be better to knock the barrel away then to aim a their head first.

  • A deafening silence fell, not a single noise could be heard, not even from outside. Thinking they had a chance to escape the figure behind the cover foolishly tried to take advantage of this moment and started to sneak towards a nearby door.

"Don't need nothin' but a good time!"

The figure stood stiff in fear as they realized that their phone was receiving a call causing it to play loud glam rock music and revealing their location. They try to reach into their pockets to turn off the phone but it was all too late, they were out in the open and were prime for a serious butt whoopin'.

  • OOC:

    1) I realized that I have no clue what yer dude looks like lol

    2) how many are there? I'm kinda confused

    --one dude in the scrap

--one known outside, not actually in the action

    --??????

    IC:

Felice watched, her deep blue eyes catching every movement. She saw Vittoria leap out with a pipe poised to strike when the intruder began to move out a well. The loud ringtone didn't exactly give them away, as both of the girls knew he was there, exactly where he was.

Felice saw the switch in Vittoria's position. The stranger's back was turned, and they weren't attacking anymore--or at least not now. What was Vittoria--her stance sturdy like a statue, body loaded on her back leg shoulder dipped to provide the most force upon swinging--had now melted. Her form softened into a less tense, more relaxed state. She switched her feet, assumed a new stance, and all she did was press the end of the pipe to the back of the intruder's neck. A fair warning--the 'one move and I hit you' kind. Her form wasn't completely relaxed. A hard world teaches to trust no one.

  • OOC:
    1. I did that intentionally so there was a reveal as to what they looked like. I'm kinda writing it like a story and trying to do pacing but I don't know if that's working or not.
    2. There's the guy inside who's actually about to get revealed, one outside and another who's friends with the first guy.

"Please don't hurt me!" the figure begged as he felt the pipe on the nape of his neck. "I don't want to hurt you I swear. In fact I'm just as scared as you are."

  • OOC:

    1) I was wondering if you'd forgotten! That's okay :)

    2) okay so I wasnt crazy--good

    IC:

"Prove it." The low tone she assumed meant business. "What are you here for?"

Felice, who isn't quite the fighter like Vi, slowly moved out from cover. "Don't forget about their name--" She'd almost mentioned Vittoria by name, but that may not be a good move. She turned her attention to the stranger. "What's your name? Who are you?"

  • "My name's Bl- uh Fred. I was just here to meet someone. I don't have any weapons on me" He said nervously. Judging by the way he spoke he was from the UK.

  • Vittoria kept the pipe where it was. "Bl-fred?" Felice wasn't sure what her friend was doing, as he surely stumbled out "Fred", instead of... whatever Vi said. The cat girl thought her friend was being an ass, and, to her defense, she kinda was. "His name is Bulfred." Vittoria might be a thick-skulled ring fighter, but her hearing was fine. He'd skipped over something while he spoke. "I'm Keralia. And my friend over there is Meimei." Vittoria cracked a haughty glance at Felice, her words indicating fabrication. The cat girl smiled, letting one giggly breath out of her nose. Then, she promptly returned to seriousness. "Where's your gun? What, or who, were you shooting at? I'd like to hear some answers."

  • "I thought you'd be the one to come up with that solution." said Vi, slightly confounded yet amused at his response. "Better start 'fessin up or I'm going to have to whack ya. Can't trust too many people--or creatures--anymore."

Felice stepped out. "Come on, Vi. He's surrendered. Cut him some slack." she suggested, which solicited an eyebrow raise from Vittoria. Despite the commentary, she held the pipe in place.

  • "You're right about trust being hard to come by. I mean I was under the assumption that the person I was meeting wasn't carrying a gun and that this place was empty." He said. "Can I turn around?"

  • "You're meeting someone?" inquired Felice. She and Vittoria shared a look for a moment before Felice just shrugged.

Vittoria scanned her surroundings, checking to see if that Mystery Person was still around, possibly aiming at them. Still, they weren't getting anywhere holding this dude like this. "Fine. You can turn around."

  • The stranger turns around but keeps their hands up in the air. Upon getting a better look at him, they see that he looks like an 80's glam metal reject, teased black hair, blue bandanna, hot pink tiger print leggings, eyeliner, black cowboy boots and a t-shirt with Avenged Sevenfold written on it. He couldn't have been much more than 18 years old.
    "Thanks."

  • OOC

glad to see another A7x fan

    IC

Vittoria looked him over, eyebrow raised, her face reading "seriously?" Felice is now closer to her gecko friend and the new guy, or, kid, in this case. She smiled playfully, saying, "Haven't seen this look outside of an album cover!" Vittoria smirked, adding, "I took him way more seriously when I couldn't see him." She lowered the business end of pipe so that it hovered at knee height. "Though, I'm impressed you got this far in hot pink. Not exactly a stealth color choice. However, they'd blend in nicely in a Justice store."

"I kinda enjoy the hot pink, actually. It's really fun!" Felice said, forgetting about the situation. Letting out a sigh, Vittoria brought her back down to earth.

"Alright, 'Bulfred', since you haven't answered sh*t yet, we'll start with this one: what's your real name?" asked the leopard gecko. However it came out more like a dry command rather than an interrogation. She was losing patience. This kid wasn't saying anything, and as far as she knew, Felice was the fastest thing on legs in the immediate vicinity. If he bolted, he wouldn't get far.

  • OOC

What A7X songs do you like? :D

Mine are Nightmare, Bat country, Welcome to the family & Not ready to die

    IC

"Thanks cat person!" 'Blufred' responded in a positive tone. "Sorry about not being upfront with you but we don't exactly know each other and what I do needs me to be a little secretive."

"Not they'll ever find out yer secrets." A man said in a deep grizzly British accented voice from in the shadows. The new stranger, who was a portly man in his 60's, approached the trio holding a large double barrel hunting gun. He wore tan clothes consisting of boots, shorts, short sleeve shirt with some bullets in the top pocket and a pith helmet. He also had a magnificently kept curly mustache on his rosy round face. "Now hands up. Oh... or is it paws up? hehehe".

  • OOC

Almost the same, except a few more :D I'd probably have a few more if I had an ounce more of patience.

Afterlife, Critical Acclaim, Welcome to the Family, 4 AM ,Danger Line, Nightmare, Dear God, and Bat Country

(Other remotely metal/remotely rock peeps I like are: Linkin Park, Halestorm, Within Temptation, Fall Out Boy P!aTd, Anavae, Volbeat, Skillet [lmao welcome to middle school], 30 Seconds to Mars [kinda], and my sister is getting me into Starset. I have conflicting feelings about Hollywood Undead, aka Discount Linkin Park. Its like they're 12 year old Xbox live players with the ability to produce music, yet some things they put out are actually good)

    IC

Felice's ears perked a little, "Oh?" The outfit would make more sense if he were under cover. Sightly disappointed by his refusal to give up any information on himself, she thought that honesty had to start somewhere. "As you know, I'm Felice! And my gecko friend over here is Vittoria, actually." Vi's head fell to the side as if it were weighted, giving her feline friend a heavy look of disapproval. Thanks. You're really helping out.

Before Vittoria could say anything, a stranger wielding a British accent and a bigass shotgun waltzed into the conversation. And he didn't seem like the type to negotiate. After all, he is British. He looked like he came straight out of Tarzan, home from a trip of colonizing whatever untouched nonwhite peoples the world had to offer. Vi had a number of semi-clever things to say to him, but his gun reminded her who has the real power here. Too bad I cant punch bullets, she thought. Dumping another likely unanswered question unto the new kid, she grumbled, "Alright, pink tights, who is this." Felice, keeping up her halfway effortless naivety, asked this new person an innocent question. "Can... we help you?"

  • OOC

I'll have to give some of those other songs a listen.

I've listened to a bit of fallout boy & Halestorm but nothing else from the bands you listed. I'm more into old school rock/metal with a side of 80's pop too ^_^

Also, the lines "he didn't seem like the type to negotiate. After all, he is British." and "He looked like he came straight out of Tarzan, home from a trip of colonizing whatever untouched nonwhite peoples the world had to offer." are brilliant! They made me laugh so hard XD

    IC

"'Can we help you?' 'Can we help you?!'" the man then started laughing heartily, mocking Felice's question, then in a sinister tone responded "I'll remember this moment fondly when I look down at the new cat-skin rug in front of my fireplace."

"You don't look like the 20 something New Yorker I was meant to meet. Who are you?" 'Blufred' inquired.

"Ahh... the gargoyle's human companion. Your friend will make an excellent exhibit in my private zoo."

"What've you done to Vegas?! If you've hurt him so help me I'll hang you off the Brooklyn bridge by your guts!"

"Silence, you insolent boy! If you even are a boy."

'Blufred' gave a disgruntled look towards the man, it not being the first time someone had joked about his appearance.

  • Felice raised a finger to make a point. "Actually, a real tiger is much bigger than me and would make a bet--"

"Felice! Really?!" the gecko girl snapped. Their new shotgun-toting buddy then made a comment on the appearance of 'Blufred'. Wow. That's a first--for once someone isn't commenting on my ugly scaly ass.

And right after that thought, it dawned on her that this guy was far more interesting in the kid than he was in her and Felice. He picked the human to insult over the mutants. Time to switch sides.

Vittoria stepped up alongside the teenage glam rocker, shifting her backpack onto one shoulder. She never left home without her paint pack--it was stocked up on a bunch of spray paints for art'ing up whatever she could get away with. And, the large backpack also held other helpful things. Like compact bolt cutters, various crafting razors, flashlights, and spray-paint screen grenades. Thankfully, the backpack was lacking the usual array of paints and only contained primary and one or two secondary colors. Along with that, it was partially open due to her digging around in the scrap.

Despite the obvious outmatch, she didn't lower the pipe below knee height. "What's your business with this guy?" Questions seemed to be rolling out tonight. So far, no answers. From the looks of things, the stubborn teenager was the least of their problems. She and Felice could deal with him later.

  • A sly grin formed on the old man's face "My my you are curious. If you must know, I was meeting your new acquaintance here to discuss the murder of my abusive ex-fiance. Of course he and his friend, the one I'm after, weren't expecting me to arrive."

"You sure don't strike me as a 26 year old woman named Nikita." 'Blufred' responded with a cocky smile.

(I've changed the person they were meant to meet to a she. It's not relevant to the story but I wanted to prevent any confusion)

"I am Lord Edward Grimm, boy. A name you should have been taught to respect. Now in spite of your behavior towards me I'm willing to cut you a deal. I will give you twenty five thousand US dollars and in exchange, you will leave here and live your life as normal. The one you call Vegas will live a happy and fulfilling life at my mansion's private zoo and these two monsters will be put to far better use."

The man, Edward Grimm, pulled out an old suit case. Just as he was about to throw it to 'Blufred' the loud crack of a gun sounded from a long distance away. A bullet shattered a nearby window and hit the ground near Lord Grimm's feet, causing him to walk back a few steps in surprise.

"Quick, let's make a move! My car's parked up nearby." 'Blufred' said to Vi & Felice.

  • If anything, now was a great time to throw down a spray-paint screen grenade. A multicolored fog of blue, purple and orange immediately filled the area. Vittoria could see 'Blufred', since he was literally next to her, and Felice's figure but none of her features. This was the cue to leave. "I guess we have no choice but to follow ya." said Vittoria in a low tone. She didn't want the haughty hunter catching a word she said.

  • OOC

How am I doing in the RP so far?

    IC

"This way!" "Blufred" gestured towards the spot where he'd come in and made a dash for it. As a parting gift, he ran up to Lord Grimm, who was trying to wipe paint out of his eyes and punched him square in the face, breaking his nose.
"Owww! Okay... that hurt." "Blufred" whimpered and realized that hitting Grimm probably wasn't as good an idea as it sounded in his mind. He recovered quickly however and started running back to his car again.
