  • Cyrus had the tour planned out in his head- to the grove of glowing trees, a central part of the Rift's recent traditions, past the stream, to the Rift itself, the large and dangerous abyss on the north side of the island. He felt as if Aaron needed a bit more than the standard warning he gave about the place, since he wasn't able to see around the area itself, he'd be more likely to fall. And besides, seeing more of the territory might help him with getting used to the air's movements, or whatever it was that he used to find his way around. Maybe Cyrus could ask a bit about it when he was on the tour- it sounded interesting enough.

"Well, we might as well start," Cyrus meowed, glancing up at the sky. It was mid-afternoon, they'd have time to do the full tour if they started now, and on the long summer days like this, they'd be back in camp by dark.

/tour for Aaron, but it's open to other posts!

  • Yep, air movements. That's how the Espeon got around, and it was a little hard to explain... It was just the way the air shifted whenever he or someone moved. Some rumors say that Espeons could read minds and predict movements just from the air, but both were extremely hard to achieve. They were things for a more experienced Espeon, which Aaron was not. "Right." Aaron gave a nod at Cyrus's words, trying to look at the Riftian. Which meant he was facing Cyrus's direction, but most likely not really giving eye contact. "I'm ready when you are."

  • Cyrus nodded, before realising that Aaron couldn't see the gesture.

"I'm ready to go- I'm thinking that I'll take you to the glowing tree grove, first," he explained, starting to walk. "Are you alright with following my voice and scent? Or...doing the air thing you do?"

  • //Sorry for the late reply! I've been busy for the past couple of days lol

Glowing tree grove, as if he could see that. Aaron didn't say anything regarding that though, knowing Cyrus meant well. After all, it was nice knowing the name of the area, if not just how it felt like. "I can do all those." The Espeon responded with a nod, finding it slightly amusing that Cyrus didn't really understand the 'air thing' he did. "I'm alright, is what I meant to say."

  • /no problem- I've been busy lately too, haven't had much time to be online.

"Great," Cyrus meowed, pleased, and continued walking. "The Rift's territory is mostly just this island, so if we want to visit any of our allies, we have to swim- or go over on boats. We're mostly out of the way of other groups, which is fine by me, really." The Arcane hadn't bordered onto other groups either, and he would have felt quite uncomfortable being in a group where possible enemies were close by, roaming the far side of your borders. They were approaching the glowing tree grove by now, the scent of sticky sap starting to fill the air. It wasn't as noticeable to Cyrus, him being used to it after spending a lot of time there, but to someone encountering it for the first time, the ghost-filled sap might smell a little...odd.
