FORGET WHAT YOU SEE; LEAVE IT TO ME —
//I'M SNORTING I KNEW SOMETHING WAS UP WITH THAT TITLE BUT I COULDN'T PLACE MY FINGER ON IT
sandwich shop au where molly has to pretend she's a sub in order to save her restaurant but secretly she is not in fact a delicious luncheon
How Wildyonder of all people heard of this? A reasonable question with a reasonable answer: he was incredibly easy to underestimate. It seemed others either forgot that, while he he blins, he wasn't deaf, and they would freely discuss jucier topics within his (admittedly long) earshot. If not that, than he was incredibly easy to trust. With a gentle demeanor, a kind smile, and seemingly not a lot of intimidation skills, what could the harm be in sharing personal thoughts with him? Certainly he would never actually take note of these things for his own self-interest, no.
And of course he wouldn't expose anyone--that was the truth, in a way. He wouldn't. Not purposefully. Today had been an accident, sort of--he simply hadn't paid attention, and he'd learned his lesson from it. On the bright side, it'd be easier to blackmail others if they thought he was willing to expose them! This would serve as a nice example.
But Molly had asked him to not say anything else. And Wildyonder, considering her a friend, would respect that. So even as questions and comments directed themselves to him, he brushed them off with a noncommittal shrug, an impish smile, and not a single word. Just like he'd been told. He had some decency yet, after all.
