  • There once was a family and their loved beagle. There once was a red fox that loved playing with that beagle. They were crushing on each other, but then they realized they probably could not bear children, making their relationship more difficult. However, are they willing to find out?

    Amber, 10 months

Amber was walking along, to make the daily rounds to y/c before she stopped, to grab him something. The disgusting food they were feeding him was not suited for him, so she brought him freshkill every day. She smelt a mouse, her nose leading it to her. She killed it quickly, before bringing it to y/c. "Y/c! I have some food for you! Come out!"

  • (Sorry if this isn't what you'd like as a first post)

Jack's dark brown eyes slowly noticed Amber as she wandered over to him, greeting the vixen with a wag of his tail and a more then happy posture to boot. Appearing from behind an old destroyed shed that his owners hadn't touched in ages it seemed "Amber.. My dear it's greet to see you again" Always using more then a few words to seem more gentlemanly then usual, noticing the small mouse that she had between her jaws. It was always a delight to have something other then what his masters called kibble that all dogs should like.

  • "It's great to be out of the woods again," she said, giving a small sigh before dropping the mouse at his feet. "So, what did you do while I was gone?" Amber asked this every time, and he always answered the same thing, but maybe this time something had been interesting. She nudged the mouse closer to him, sitting down. The fox was slightly taller than he, but not by much, and it wasn't noticeable when she sat down. Her long tail was tucked between her legs as she fiddled with it, slightly bored as she waited for a response.

No, your reply is fine! You have any plot I ideas?

  • (Should we do something along the plot of the movie fox and the hound..like with hunters and things? Along with them needing and wanting to have offspring of their own...even though it's not seemingly possible...Like every year or so Jack leaves and comes back different?)

The jingle of his collar cut off the silence between the two as he also sat down mouse settled a few inches from his paws, "My master's were trying to get me to begin tracking...which I really didn't agree with" His owners were raising Jack as a dog ment to track down what they considered wild game like squirrels, fowl, and other creatures that lived in the woods beyond his home. Ears flopped down as he lowered his head to grab a bite of the mouse "I heard them talking about going on some sort of trip" Now that was different news as he was growing older not at all questioning the thought he may be taken with them.

  • Yeah, sure, except it was never her, but he does hunt fox. Also, for the offspring idea, how about they find some orphaned puppies and orphaned fox cubs and raise them as their own?

"Oh. Do you know what kind of trip Jack?" She asked quizzically, hoping it was not one of those horrible murder trips hounds sometimes go on.

  • (Of course..I would never want him to go after her.. and the offspring should wait for a little until some more posts are done if that's ok?)

"No..I had only heard some small talk between them... but I'm sure it's nothing to worry about" Standing up before finishing the mouse, not really sure why now they would go on a trip...after all the days did seem to go a little shorter but Jack hadn't paid much attention to that. Standing up from where he'd sat turning to look at the small house a short distance from where they were...but shielded away as his masters knew nothing of Amber and he preferred it to stay like that, As before he had seen a his male owner go out and bring back some sort of skin which made Jack hesitant with allowing Amber close to the house "What did you do?" Changing the conversation that had erupted between them just like normal although there were some changes in the news.

  • No that's for like 20 pages later lol. Not that early xD

"No, I didn't really do anything interesting. Just learning that there are some very interesting tasting berries by that shed we're next to," She pointed out a small bush that had purple berries on it.
"You probably haven't tasted them, but it's pretty tasty." The fox did stand back up on all four legs, pacing around, tail waving.

  • "No..I hadn't thought of trying the berries...They aren't exactly what I'd like to eat" Trying to be as pleasant as he could with an understanding, Turning towards the house at a human voice clearly yelling down from that area at first ignoring the voice not wanting their meeting to end just like that. Tail dropping down as he then heard his name called in a even angrier voice then before, "We can maybe meet up more when my owners leave" He added with a lacking grin followed by a tail wag as it would be easier on the both of them...to have the people Jack was nervous over gone for a few days or wees even.

  • She jumped at the human voice. "Uh. Yup, you bet..." She said sheepishly, skittering off into the woods, not unkindly, but knowing what the humans would do if they caught her. "Maybe later, okay Jack?" She nodded, before going out of sight.

    Timeskip?

  • (Sure, Oh my neighbor's beagle does stuff like this)

Jack slowly slipped out of his house in the early daylight shaking his head at the neck collar that had replaced his old one, unsure on why his owners had done such a thing as changing his old collar to his one with small bumps or hills on it not at all knowing what they were. Sitting down on the porch steps leading down into their yard unsure one why somethings were changing, but he didn't like it one bit watching a squirrel run out along onside of the yard causing the beagle to jump up and follow suit. This was one creature that he couldn't say was something he'd greet in a friendly manner following the light colored squirrel up into one of the tree's with the small male jumping up on the tree trunk growling and barking.

  • Did they put a shock collar on him?

The fox yet again brought a kill, this time a squirrel, to her buddy. "Hi Jack! Wait- what happened to your collar?" She eyeballed it a bit, circling around him. "It looks weird now. Did the humans change it?" She questioned, concern lacing her words. Please don't let it be a shock collar... Those are so hard to get off...

  • (No, They would not

I just added that as I know of hunters that keep their dogs under control with shock collars...although I disapprove)

Yea...They took me to some store last night and put this on me.." To tell the truth he hadn't been the best canine after being forced inside the house yesterday, jumping and barking at a small person that had came in the night before had led him to being put out with this new collar. Scratching at the collar with one paw proved no use to freeing Jack of this new burden with a small growl "Amber, I didn't do anything wrong to get this" Jack looked down as now he felt a little less freedom..Staying a few paces after from her or rather tried not wanting to get her into any trouble like he was.

  • "no, i didn't think you had," she admitted simply. "I can help you take it off if you want." The fox did paw at it, seeing how durable it was. Not very durable... She thought. I might be able to just claw that off.

  • "Please..Its uncomfortable" He whined a little but stopped then ready to possibly leave the yard if this collar was removed, as of now Jack hadn't wanted to go into the woods but now he did. Ready to ask if they could walk through and explore the woods just like others would..if they weren't so different.

  • She gave a small nod before using her front claws to claw through the faux leather used to make the collar. It just crumpled at that point and fell off him. "There, now that's done. You look like you wanna do something else. What is it?" Amber asked quizzically, looking at him as to penetrate his mind, but doing nothing. There was an air of childish play about her, as if she was a kit asking for a story before she went to sleep.

  • "I want to go out into the woods and explore" That made Jack sound like a puppy upon what he still kinda was at 10 months old, aknowledging the collar laying in the dirt although that hardly bothered him in the slightest fue to its unimportance.Tail no longer drooping as being able to go in the woods seemed to be more fun then stay in his yard..and having Amber needing to run off whenever the people called.

  • "Great! Follow me then, Jack!" She grinned from ear to ear before darting off into the bush, her tail showing him where to follow along the path. There was a distant whimper from somewhere, but it was not coming from either of them. It was probably baby fox kits, but they were most likely just being cared for, so it wasn't that bad. She stopped at a crystal-filled cavern with a hole in the top and a pool of clear blue water in the middle. "This is where I live. It has room for an entire family, but it's just mine right now..." The female said sheepishly. "You can swim, can't you?" Amber asked curiously, taking a dip in the pool before coming back up. "Come on," she beckoned him in. "It's nice and warm!"

  • Staring into the cool blue water as his reflection was disturbed by the ripples along itself surface, "I can swim" Trying to seem like he couod do most of what Amber could although he had no way to climb unlike the vixen could if anything happened. Slowly dipping one front paw into the watwr finding it midly warm..which was surprising "This is an amazing home" Grinning at the thought of staying here rather the cooped up in his owners home was more then pleasing.

  • "Really? Thanks! I don't get very many visitors, and when I do, they don't really comment on it." The fox admitted shyly. "There are some cool rocks under the surface if you wanna have one," she commented, tossing a crystal in between her small, gentle paws.

  • Jack slowly slid into the water as his claws didn't give much traction on the wet rocks, landing with a small splash. It really wasn't that bad in the water like she had said, then an idea came to his head, splashing some water towards Amber with small snicker.
