  • Name: Annemarie (Annie) Lane Fox

    Age: 16

    Gender: CIS Female

    Element: Nature

    Looks:bb6bcdfe2c45576a8c06a708c6b7d5ff.jpg

    Personality:

Annie is a very kind and gentle person. She loves giving compliments and seeing people smile. She is very shy and timid, and tends to keep to herself even though she'd much rather be talking and mingling with everyone else. She has little to no temper, rarely gets mad, and rarely argues. Her goal is to make peace where there is none. Whether in war or a small argument between peers.

Strengths: Annie is very loveable and level headed. She tends to stay quite calm under pressure.

Weaknesses: She isn't a good fighter. At all. She hates seeing people hurt, whether they're good or bad.

Love Interest (if any): none yet

    Other: daisy :)

  • Yay! Accepted. It would be nice if we could get some others to join before starting, but if that takes too long, we can just start with the two of us.

  • OOC: xD so am I. Especially in one thread, where my friend and I make sure to write posts after surgeries and stuff so that we can have a good laugh.

Since we have a few people that will be making their characters eventually, I'll probably start this up :D

IC: It was a mild morning in the latter end of spring. Summer had yet to descend, and so the coolness of winter was still present in the weather, although laced with the gentle kiss of southern air. Already excited for the yearly rebirth which rode upon the stretching sunlight and lengthening days, Jeremy lounged within the crook of branches formed within the upper reaches of a tree, a look of deep pondering upon his soft face. He absentmindedly twirled a finger around in the air, and a vine slowly crept up one of the tree's branches, circling about the wood like an emerald green snake.

Across the courtyard of the school, Rose sat alone, sitting in the grass with a book in hand, nose buried within the pages. Her bright red hair gleamed in the strengthening sunlight, as on fire as her personality, as though both were simply reflections of her power. Though the rest of her body was still, her eyes were in constant motion, gliding over each word with the speed of a practiced reader. The only thing that she was truly avid about was reading, in fact; the wealth of knowledge found in books was greater than could ever be found in most of the others she interacted with. Despite her appreciation for literary works, from fantasy to history, she tended not to pour over books in public. Books were made for reading in solitude, not while others were about, interrupting the silence with inquisitive words and unnecessary input.

  • -omg my sister had to have a minor tooth surgery but they gave her a tad too much loopy-gas or whatever (lightweights amiright) and she started talking about how russia was corrupt because people drove on sidewalks, and she was going to invent a time machine and try to fix it. Then proceeded to apologize because she didn't mean to elect Teddy Roosevelt as president of russia it was hilarious-

Annie wore her hair down, as she did most days. The straight blonde locks falling gently over her shoulders as they swayed gracefully from side to side. She wasn't not excited to be here, in fact, she felt incredibly blessed to be here. She was worried she wouldn't make any friends, though. She kept telling herself to just simply introduce herself to one of the many new faces around campus, but she was just too shy.

She noticed a very large and quite inviting tree that stood out in the crowd. It's soft green leaves, which were beginning to turn colors of fall, danced gently with the soft wisps of wind. She walked towards the gentle giant, but soon noticed it was occupied. All she could make out was the short black hair of a small figure sitting in the treetop, guarded mostly by leaves. Annie walked closer and smiled at him, though she wasn't sure he noticed her. She watched as his small finger commanded the vines with gentle movements and she couldn't help but want to know this kid. He seemed sweet. "Hello..!" She softly called out as she reached the trunk.

  • OOC: XDD that's hilarious omg!! Won't be as bad for me since I got dat chub hehehe. I'm hoping that my good Christian upbringing will keep from from cursing up a storm or something, but I'll definitely be rambling about something wacky. I told my parents to record everything just in case something riotous comes out of my mouth.

IC: Not expecting someone to approach him, as still as the morning was and as far away as his mind was currently dancing, Jeremy started. As though he was driving a car and not a vine, the plant came to a quick, shuddering halt, and came dangerously close to tumbling out of the tree. Looking down with wide eyes, he saw Annie. "O-Oh, hello. Didn't hear you coming." His voice was a lulling as a gentle breeze, but also as commanding as a howling gust. For as soft spoken as he was, the boy clearly possessed some authority. Perhaps said authority was only enough to direct leaves to grow and flowers to bloom, not enough to sway a human, but power was still present within his voice.

  • -lmao same chubchubchub I haven't had any surgeries or anything before. I've never even been in a hospital before, not including my birth. I'm a very cautious person lol-

Annie cleared her throat slightly, trying to keep the courage to talk to him. "M-My bad. I didn't mean to, uh, startle you." She said softly. Her cheeks reddened a bit with embarrassment which caused her to look down to hide the blush. Her voice was quiet, so quiet that if the only other sound wasn't the gentle rustling of leaves the boy likely wouldn't have heard her response. "D-Do you mind if I, uhm, join you?" She asked fidgeting with the ends of her hair as she waited for a response. She looked up at the stranger with he big green eyes, wondering if his element was plant or nature.

-also sorry if i suck i don't normally rp outside of realistic humans-

  • OOC: I think that it's something simply has to happen; I'm always breaking something, or hurting something lololol. I've been in physical therapy twice, gone to the ER so many times, and have broken many bones. I've even managed to break my elbow xD this is my first major surgery tho ee

Also, it's off to bed for me, since I'm already pushing onto five hours of sleep as it is xD hopefully I'll be on tomorrow evening at latest

IC: Jeremy's eyes went wide, concerned that he had offended the girl. "Oh, of course!" he said quickly, trying not to appear hostile. Then, realizing that he had spoken incorrectly, he shook his head. "Sorry. I mean, um, of course I don't mind." As though her anxiety was his anxiety, the emotions picked up from her gentle worry, Jeremy began to stammer and ramble a little. "This tree isn't mine, after all. I can't keep you from joining me, even if I wanted to. Which I don't, necessarily. Because I don't mind." Circles were being painted with his words, making even his own mind spin before he forced his jaw to lock in place to keep from letting any more nonsensical words out. A mixture of his youth and Annie's present state of nervousness was causing Jeremy to lose hold of his cool.

  • Annie giggled slightly at him. From what she could tell they were fairly similar. They would likely get along, not that Annie didn't get a long with anyone. Annie bit her lip and adjusted her satchel purse before beginning her ascent. As long as Annie could remember she loved to be outdoors. Running in the grass and flowers, climbing trees, and experimenting with her element. She fairly gracefully climbed up this tree and sat across from the boy. He was quite cute now that she had a good look of him. Annie carefully picked a fallen leaf from her blonde locks and watched as it floated back down to the grass. She was quite thankful she hadn't slipped or embarrassed herself at all on the climb. Though she was experienced she was a nervous wreck. A blush still lingered on her pale cheeks as she imagined scenarios where she did in fact severely humiliate herself, but she forced herself to stop and look at the boy again. "I'm A-Annie. Annie Fox." She said holding out her hand for him to shake. Though her palms were a bit callused, her hands were soft and freshly manicured with pastel green nail polish.

    -goodnight :)-

  • OOC: Well, the surgery is done. I'd rather be in pain than be unable to feel my entire mouth. And I'm entirely lucid, so that's two pieces of reality that sucks

IC: Jeremy watched in silence as Annie ascended into the upper branches, finally coming to situate herself near him. She climbed with the ease of an expert, someone who had spent much time scaling trees. In that aspect, the two of them were the same. "Nice to meet you. I'm Jeremy Pine." The wee boy reached out his own hand, grasping Annie's and shaking. He giggled a little bit at the formal manner of introduction; as young as he was, hand shakes weren't common. Because of that, his grip was rather weak, and he pulled away quickly. "Are you a nature element, or are you just really good at climbing trees?"

  • -okay I'm super stupid and also embarrassed. It's not even like I've never done a element thread before? Can I do like an animal subcategory? >.<-

Annie shook his hand, trying not to squeeze to hard considering his loose grip. Jeremy. A nice name. She thought. "I'm a nature element." She giggled. Jeremy looked to be eleven or twelve. Quite a bit younger than herself, though she knew they could still be good friends. Annie took off her purse and hung it on a sturdy branch before crossing her legs under her to sit more comfortably. "So.. whats your specialty?" She asked, not really knowing how to phrase the question, but hoped he understood what she was asking.

  • OOC: If you'd like, I don't see why not :p

IC: At the mention of Annie's element, Jeremy perked up a little. He always loved meeting other students with the same capabilities as he; though there was the saying that opposites attract, he found that he worked much better with those who were more similar to him. Plant elements tended to have a delicate nature, an unproven fact which was supported by both his and Clara's demeanors. People who were more flamboyant, more confident, or less kind often clashed with him. If only for how easily hurt Jeremy was by another's words, perhaps that was where his need to befriend soft hearted people stemmed from. "I'm nature as well!" he responded enthusiastically, a crooked grin lighting up his pale face. No matter how much time he spent in the sun, the kid never seemed to burn nor tan.

  • Annie smiled brightly. She expected it but was still excited when he confirmed her thoughts. "That's great. Maybe we'll see eachother in classes and such." She said hopefully. It would be really good for Annie if she had already made a friend. Maybe it would even boost her confidence a little. She had been nervous to meet any fire or lightning elementals. They could be very chaotic and Annie liked to keep the peace. She ran her fingers along the bark of the tree nervously. She wasn't really good at making conversation, and hoped she and Jeremy didn't share that trait. That would be awkward. Or maybe they would get along better. Who knows

  • To confirm Annie's fear of stagnant conversation, Jeremy didn't offer up any new topic to merge into. He didn't know if he should be trying to make small talk, or if they were technically friends now, and could talk about something deeper. Even if they could participate in more intimate conversation, he would have no clue where to start; they had just met, and it wasn't as though he did much in the way of socializing on a normal basis.

But, despite the quiet that had temporarily descended upon the two of them, Jeremy didn't feel at all uncomfortable. He continued to look at Annie, unabashed by openly staring. Finally, a question came to mind, and pressed upon his teeth until he opened his mouth and allowed his tongue to flick it out. "How old are you? I'm only eleven, but I'm going to be twelve in the fall!" That was more than a full season away, but he boasted of it as though it were approaching quickly. As it was, however, he seemed to small to even look his current age, let alone the one which he would eventually be.

  • Annie tried to make eye contact with him but she just looked down at her lap shyly. She listened to the rustling of leaves and distant a hushed conversations until Jeremy broke the silence. "Oh, that's nice. I'll be turning seventeen in the fall." She said tapping her fingers on her leg. Her birthday was in October, her favorite month. She loved pumpkin carving, and pumpkin flavored things. She really loved Halloween too. Her family always went all out on the costumes, and it was a blast.

Annie twirled her hair around in her fingers. She sure fidgeted a lot huh. "So.. uh.. what's your favorite animal?" She asked curiously. She loved animals, and not just because they were her specialty. She could get along with almost any type of animal, and spent most of her time playing outside with little critters like squirrels and such.
