  • Crowkit didn't understand why everyone had been so worked up lately. Perhaps he was too young. The lithe kit lay silently among some reeds and watched as his clanmates bickered over things that probably didn't matter in the end. His dark fur melted perfectly into the shadows and it would have taken a trained eye to spot him if not for his pale eyes, glinting from the darkness like disks of silver. Eventually the eyes fell shut, lulled by the warmth of the sun, leaving him in a pool of darkness.

Listening to petty drama was the only thing he could do to cure his boredom; there wasn't much to do when you were trapped in camp. The snapping voices eventually faded away and Crowkit reopened his eyes, seeing that the pair he'd been watching had already left. He blinked before slowly unfurling spidery limbs, sitting up and watching as they moved to another part of the camp. Oh well. He was bored again.

/hi y'all this guy is the brother of larkpaw, finchpaw and frecklekit, but he's pretty quiet so it's okay if your character forgot he exists or something c':

  • The dark tabby apprentice had been idly scanning the area as she ate her share of fresh-kill when the shadowy lump she had briefly spotted earlier started to move. Leafpaw couldn't actually recall ever speaking to this kitten, so she might as well start now. Standing up and stretching her legs, the tabby carried what remained over to the dark kit, meowing softly in greeting. "You hungry?" she asked, laying near the tiny tom.

  • [ - ] Hm. The boy's small stature combined with his fluffy, almost unruly fur, seemed to remind him of someone. Most likely someone unimportant, Larkpaw would figure, but still the thoughts battered his mind like a struggling carp out of water. His features seemed quite familiar as well, but soon the apprentice came to the realisation that the kid was probably related to him. Did he have any young siblings? He knew Frecklekit happened to be around every so often as a breathing proof that he had little siblings but he questioned why he was even bothering to invest time to remember who the child happened to be. He shifted through names, scowling slightly at the inconvenience of the situation before he soon mouthed 'o' when he realised who the mysterious little kitten happened to be.

It was his little brother - right. He just so happened to be one of his many siblings he cared too little to realise they were alive and actually living in RiverClan, but then again he cared too little about all his siblings. Hopefully his brother appreciated the fact that Larkpaw was fair and just to his whole family. It would be wrong for the self-proclaimed king to favour one over the other. He took little notice to Leaf who seemed to try and speak to his inaudible brother. "If a bird swoops down and pecks at ya fur thinking you're some dead crowfood, I ain't gonna be surprised since yer just sittin' there like a legless hamster."

  • Crow stared at Leafpaw as she approached, shuffling back a mere whiskerlength as she lay down nearby. Strangers sent off all the alarm bells in Crowkit's head, but then again his clanmates were hardly strangers. He'd observed almost all of them at one point or another. At the offer of food he paused for a heartbeat before nodding ever so slightly, refusing to ignore the growing hunger gnawing at the inside of his belly.

Before anything else could happen though, Crowkit's kindest brother decided it'd be an excellent time to drop by and throw his colourful insults around. The kit's tail tip twitched with slight agitation, but his expression was blank as he turned to face Larkpaw. "Creative," he spoke finally, his voice light and hushed. Maybe if he got mutilated by a bird his warrior name could be Crowfood. That'd be a twist, right?

  • > Finchpaw padded over, a fish hanging from his mouth. Coincidentally, he was searching for somebody to eat with, but at the sight of his hungry little brother, he quietly padded over, setting the fish beside him. "Y-You can have some of this if you want." Finch offered. His eyes drifted up to Larkpaw briefly, acknowledging his presence, then over to Leafpaw, then eventually back to his baby brother. He seemed fairly intelligent for a kit of his age, really.

  • The tabby only rolled her eyes as Larkpaw approached. "Do you have nothing better to do than be a thorn in everyone's tail?" she hissed at the younger apprentice. If she was allowed, she would gladly leave a few scars on the bratty tom. That would teach him.

Returning her attention to the dark kitten, she opened her mouth to speak again before Finchpaw had padded over. With a fish. At least that saved her the time of going and grabbing another piece of prey for the hungry kit. Seemed like a bit much though, considering Crowkit's size.

  • [ - ] Of course he was creative. But in all seriousness, kits shouldn't be left out in the open. Birds did like to swoop in and snatch kittens from the ground. As much as Larkpaw was a pain in the tail, sometimes his points actually meant something, but his words often came with a bee sting. He never liked sounding helpful, but he could never seem to keep most of his thoughts to himself. They spewed like an uncontrollable fountain and no one could do anything about it, not even BloodClan could stop him. Well, unless they tore out his tongue or something, but he still had his larynx. His sounds would just evolve to become annoying screeches if that happened.

He couldn't help but snort when he saw Finchpaw offer his younger sibling a bite. He was always so useful but so background-ish. His depressed brother had a thing for just being completely unnoticeable to Larkpaw at times, and perhaps the snarky apprentice was just as likely to forget about the tom had he not been his littermate. He snorted at Leafpaw's annoyance, poking his tongue in her direction. "But I'm good at being a thorn in everyone's tail. It's one of my many specialties. You're just irritated because ya can't keep composed when I'm around. Bein' patient is clearly not your specialty."

  • Ahhh. The siblings just kept coming, didn't they? Fawncloud was rather amused by the divide between the siblings: Finchpaw and Frecklekit were meek and shy, whereas Larkpaw was as far from that as possible. She wondered if they would still get on alright when they got older- if the sibling bond was strong enough.

She didn't care much for Larkpaw's rude comments, though she knew it irritated some of her clanmates very much. "Hello, Crowkit," Fawncloud meowed simply, taking a seat besides Leafpaw. She hadn't gotten to know him yet, and wondered if he knew her at all. "I'm Fawncloud, if you don't know my name."

  • (welcome to RC! doepelt is cougarstar's stepdaughter, so crowkit is her stepbrother, i think? correct me if im wrong)

A group had assembled around the small ebony figure of Crowkit, who had been padding around camp with a grace that didn't easily lend itself to young ones. Sun dappling his face and hot sand shifting about like the sea under his little paws. Doepelt always rejoiced in the presence of kits around camp; they had yet to know enough about the world to become bitter or sad about little other than the temperature or spoiled fish. The simplistic nature of their growing minds was predictable enough; they had no hidden motives, and their disputes could be easily mended.

The she-cat lay in the shade, her short legs tucked underneath her round body, as if someone would still them if they were left unprotected, watching the small gaggle of felines drifting about the central axis of her stepbrother. A school of minnows around a leaf that had disturbed the water above. Her long eyelashes covering large, half-closed amber eyes caught the sunlight above her as she rested, filling her vision with a twinkling glare from above. She would not disturb their conversation, instead content to gaze from afar.

  • Crowkit tuned out Larkpaw's babbling as Finchpaw arrived, and dipped his head in thanks as he brother offered him some food. He bent down to sniff tentatively at the scaled creature before dragging it closer to him by the tail and taking a tiny bite from it's stomach. The kit chewed quietly, pausing to look up at Fawncloud as she approached. He finished chewing and swallowed, nodding at the fem. He knew her name. "Hi," he greeted reluctantly, looking at his paws.
