  • "No, no. I can do it, don't concern yourself with this." Robinfur insisted, not wanting to worry his apprentice. That would be awful, he then turned, trotting to the medicine den, waving his tail for Fernpaw to follow him. In the den, he set the herbs down carefully in the required place they should be and let out a sigh, flopping down on his bottom to sit down. Deep breath.

Inhaling and then exhaling, he smiled slightly at Fernpaw. "So... How was your night?"

After she finished grooming herself, the warrior leaped to her paws. 'Time to find my apprentice.' She thought, looking around. She spotted the two maine coon twins. The warrior strolled over to them. Dipping her head in greeting to them, her green optics focused on Ivypaw. :"Have you ate yet?" She asked.

  • Goldenfur swiped up a large fish that dared to rise near the surface. She smacked it out of the water, turning her head to watch it hit a sharp rock that planted itself on land. She wrapped her jaws around it, and began padding back to camp, contented with her catch.

Upon nearing the camp, she paused at the entrance and shifted her gaze to the scenery behind her. It was beautifully calm. Her eyes caught the slight movements of a blue butterfly that skillfully flew along in the soft breeze. What a beautiful morning, her mind wandered as she entered the camp and headed towards the pile of fresh kill where she dropped her fish. She looked around the camp, curious as to what everyone was up to, and to where her apprentice was.

-Sorry, I've been away a bit. Hurray, and apprentice!-

  • The medicine cat apprentice tilted her head to the side somewhat as her mentor made for the den, but followed him obediently nonetheless. Once inside, Fernpaw sat herself down against the lichen-engulfed wall of the tight den, turning her green gaze on Robinfur. At his question, her ear twitched to acknowledge it, and her tail gaze a quick, thoughtful flick.

''It was splendid, thank you. Though, I believe it would have been better to have stayed up, helping you! You look over-tired, if I might say so.'' The silver and white feline hoped she hadn't come across as rude or overbearing, but for all Robinfur had done for her, the least she could do was care for his well-being.

  • Well, his ploy to deter her attention from himself didn't work out as he had hoped. His brows furrowed, looking away slightly. She was right though, he was exhausted. It was amazing he was able to keep himself straight. The only reason he had stayed up was his own anxiety. He didn't think that it would be right to have it so Fernpaw had to deal with the same issues he had. He shook his head.

"No, no. Fernpaw really..." He sighed, averting his gaze from the younger one. "I was just.. testing things. I was worried that... I wouldn't be prepared if something bad had happened and cats would die on my watch..." It was nice to get that off his chest, honestly

  • - pale green eyes fluttered open as the long furred ginger-and-white queen woke from her deep slumber. runningsong felt the movement of her kits at her belly, causing a low purr to erupt from her chest as she lifted her head to check on the five kittens. each one of them was still fast asleep, curled up into their mother's long, soft fur to keep warm. the queen rested her head on the moss bedding, her tail curling around the kittens protectively.

    - a soft snore escaped the sleeping warrior as he curled deeper into his nest, her fluffy tail resting over his nose. as he inhaled, foxflight inhaled some of the fur from his tail, causing a sneeze to rack his body and startle him awake. with weary amber eyes, the ginger tabby warrior looked around the den in confusion, still half asleep.

    - the short-furred white warrior was the first to burst out of the warrior's den before her siblings, a proud grin making it's way to her face as she turned her odd-colored eyes towards the two warriors that followed her out of the den, much more sluggishly than their hyper sister. "i beat you two," kestrelwing announced proudly, puffing her chest out in pride.

the longer furred version of kestrelwing rolled her blue eyes, "it wasn't a race, kestrelwing," turtlecloud muttered as she pushed past her sister towards the fresh-kill pile.

"you're just grumpy that i beat you," kestrelwing boasted as she followed her sister. the feline flicked her tail, signally for the patched gray-and-white tom to follow the two. thornfrost rolled his own amber eyes as he trotted after his two sisters, amusement twinkling in his eyes.

  • As Goldenfur spotted Smokepaw chatting with another apprentice, she padded over towards them. "Hello, Smokepaw and Ivypaw. Been up for awhile?" She questioned, stopping in front of the two cheerfully. In her mind, she planned out what she would be teaching Smokepaw today.

  • Smokepaw and Ivypaw turned to look at Goldenfur as she approached them. While Ivypaw simply greeted her with a small nod, Smokepaw let out a purr of welcome, flicking his heavy tail behind him. "'Morning, Goldenfur!" Responded the black Maine Coon, blinking at Goldenfur before flicking a tufted ear. "A while, yeah. Before most of the warriors, I think" At the words, a proud shine glazed over Smokepaw's gaze, as if he was proud that he had managed to be awake before the warriors. However, he didn't say anything as he stood, giving his long, glossy coat a shake before mewing, "What are we going to be doing today?"

  • Goldenfur flicked her ear to acknowledge the pride in his tone. "I was going to see if we could lead a hunting patrol. Maybe Ivypaw could come along too," She focused on both of the apprentices now. "Though it's up to your mentor," She added, looking at Silverpool.

  • //Wait, so I'm mentoring my own apprentice? Oakleap is my cat as well as Smokepaw.

Timbertuft raised her head at the small noise of a cat walking into the den. She half expected it to be Robinfur, doing his morning check-up on the pregnant queen, but she spotted instead her mate, Piercedgaze. The dozing queens let out a purr of greeting and sat up, her long fur sticking out in various places to prove why she had been given the suffix -tuft. Glancing down, she spotted the fish that Piercedgaze had brought her. Assuming it was meant for her, the molly gave a small purr and mewed, "Thank you~" A grateful tone entered her voice as she spoke. Her fluffy tail lay behind her as she crouched down to dig into her meal. As she ate, however, she shifted uncomfortably, a slightly pained look flashing across her face that grew as she started to try and fix it. However, the she-cat was determined to politely finish her meal before she complained and continued to eat.

Bumping this up for Mousegaze ; Gonna wait for Saltstorm to have Silverpool approach Ivypaw, Smokepaw and Goldenfur 'cause Ivypaw is there are the is an awkward child.

-I thought Silverpool was already beside the two apprentices....?

  • Piercedgaze purred and curled around his mate. "Your welcome, and your going to be a wonderful mother." he said and calmly flicked his tail, still purring in content. He was happy to be a father, he had always wanted kits. " are you ok?" he asked, seeing how it looked as if she was in pain.

    ~low mused. sry.~

  • roach ! This was already done-

  • At this, Fernpaw's brows furrowed in sympathy as she reached across to rest her white paw comfortingly upon her mentor's.

''Robinfur, you are the most talented medicine cat this clan may have ever seen. I'm certain I'll never live up to your standards. We're more than prepared, with you as our medicine cat.'' She tried to smile at his, her olive eyes softening.

She could understand what the medicine cat was confessing unto her. She knew - and feared - that medicine cats must give their all to their clan, and that one day, she would have to join them. But, that day was far and right now Fernpaw needed to reassure her mentor of his gifted abilities.
