"Fine." Saya responded, an unwanted bitter undertone to the simple word as she'd instead pick up the first item of her lunch as she'd begin to eat.

"That doesn't sound fine," Shido said. He'd known her long enough to know that much.
-
Saya cast him a look as she paused, only giving a light huff in response at first. Though she was already trying to convince herself otherwise, she didn't like how comfortable he seemed around the one who had just left, especially someone that looked so... pretty. Perhaps it was subtle jealousy.
-
"Wha- are you mad at me? I'm sorry I don't know what I did," Shido said puzzled.
-
Saya took a pause, "I'm not... mad at you." She stated in a rather annoyed tone, "Just haven't been in the best of moods today." She then stated before she got back to eating, trying to pull of that was it. Although, she had been in a fine mood till now.
-
Shido sighed and nodded. He wasn't convinced but he wouldn't make her talk if she didn't want to. "You know you can talk to me about anything," he said. "You're my best friend."
-
"I know." Saya said, though that was all as she'd try to dismiss the topic.
-
Shido took something out of his lunch and put it in her hand. It was a wrapped up piece of carrot cake. "Seems like you need this," he said hoping to cheer her up. "I didn't know when you'd stop by the club so I figured I'd bring some so you could have it."
-
Saya blinked her eyes somewhat in surprise, though when she registered what it was, her face subconsciously brightened - considering it was one of her favorite items. A smile managed to re-surface by the simple item.
-
Shido smiled glad it had seemed to cheer her up some. Just then Luene came back and sat down. "Sorry, I can't stay," she said collecting her stuff before leaving. "I'll see you later! maybe at the host club!" Then she took off.
-
Saya glanced over as she came back, pressing her lips together a moment and then watched as she left before instead turning her attention to the wrapped piece of cake as she'd get to eating that soon enough.
-
Shido turned back to his lunch and finished the food he had brought.
-
It didn't take Saya to finish hers as well, including the carrot cake as she gave a sigh in content, barely glancing over as she spoke next. "Hope you don't mind if I pay a visit at the host club today." She started as she wadded up her trash to throw away. "Don't have anything better to do anyway." It hadn't been her original plan.
-
Shido grinned. "Really?!" he said sounding pretty happy about her coming. "I'll be waiting for you there then after school!"
-
"Alright." Was all Saya said in response, though she'd have a smile on her face, having caught his the happy tone.
-
Shido looked at his watch. "Looks like class will be starting soon," he said. Their next class they had together and was on history.
-
Saya stood up, moving to throw her trash away before she came back to retrieve her stuff so they could head to History.
-
Shido was finished with his lunch and threw the trash away before putting his book back in his bag and getting up. "Ready for the test today?" he asked her trying to trick her. They didn't actually have a test in history.
-
"What test?" She muttered, raising an eyebrow as she glanced over at him.
-
Shido chuckled unable to keep up the act. "I'm kidding," he said. "I was just trying to make you think there was one."
