  • A pink and orange sunrise had begun, signalling the beginning of a very important day for SunClan. Not only was today the date for the traditional Summer Solstice Sun Festival, but it was also the first of it's kind to be held in the clan's new capitol city. For this reason, white and gold banners of the sun hung from every street and building, the biggest of which were located at Solar City's entrance gate. The gate was wide open, meant for welcoming the guests that they had invited. Once inside, escorts would take the guests to the capitol's center, a few miles south of the pyramid. Here was the white flamed and eternal bonfire, a landmark that would become a tradition location for the festival. Around this area, and everywhere between here and the pyramid, were booths of activities and trade shops. There was tables covered with food for guests to feast and plenty of space to socialize, as well. Right along the pyramid's entrance, there was large gift baskets with the names of the invited clans printed on them. Each one contained ten gold bars, five silk blankets, twenty bags of assorted medicine and poisons, and golden jewelry. This gift has a goal of furthering the chances of an alliance with the invited clans, and to show kindness to their new hopeful friends. Finally, perched upon a tall white bricked ledge, was Sugaredpoison Arcanium, SunClan's Commander. He was patiently awaiting everyone's arrival so that he could begin his speech, go through with his coronation, and begin the fun part of the Sun Festival. "Everyone gather below!"

Around the local streets, there was plenty more to do besides the main formal party, such as...
    Murals on the city walls
    Show and tell
    Marketplace
    Charades
Sun Festival King and Queen nominations
Tour of the Tomb of Commaders
    Sun Tournament Sign-Ups

  • ➳ Ah, the Sun Festival. His feelings for the event were devoid, but he didn't necessarily find it meaningless as the feline filtered in, standing in front of his commander with flickering hues. He promptly sat down, waiting quietly with little commotion. He wasn't planning on brawling anyone just yet, and he would much prefer to not get in trouble for disturbing the peace. Halfface scrunched the bridge of his nose, glancing briefly at the decor and past the streets that radiated life and celebration. He wasn't sure what to start with first. He'd likely rush through them all knowing him, but first he had to listen to whatever Sugaredpoison had to say. He'd rather not give a bad example to the invited clans.

  • "oh beautiful" the feline would whisper as she padded over, her single eye wide with amazement. it had been some time since she had gone to a party. in fact, if she did recall the last party she had even been to had been hosted by the skulls- which had been a drinking party.. because pirates apparently. but this was something much more. there was so much to do- and it was kid friendly. something she also liked the looks of. but where would she go first? probably wherever the crowd ended up shuffling her, since she was quite small.

  • It truly was splendid to see the capitol surrounded with lights, the merry atmosphere one which Rob had never before seen in SunClan. It seemed as though many clans would come and join in on this special occasion, Rob sent his pity to the escorts bussling about attempting to tame the crowds and lead the foreigners where they needed to be. Suga had done a splendid job of setting this all up.

  • Approaching after Unknowncrimes was was the sleek, but not delicate Robin, who was gazing around at the view. "Ah, Commander, you did such a good job," She offered her thanks in the form of a gentle smile, wondering what she should do first. Perhaps she would meet someone from another clan- that sounded interesting.

  • As the guests began to gather, Suga gave small smiles and nods to those who spoke or signaled to him. It seemed as if everyone was enjoying the event so far, which was good news, since he'd never been the best at planning. Once everything had began settling down, he began his speech. "SunClanners and guests, welcome to the Summer Solstice Sun Festival! This is a party we only hold four times a year, so it's obviously a very special occasion for us. What makes it more exciting, I think at least, is that today is also my coronation as Commander of SunClan." He took a pause for a breath, and then continued. "We all still morn our late Leader, Hoseok, but SunClan has never been one of those droopy-ass clans. We're here to party, do artsy shit, and become greater than we were the sunrise before. From this day until my last, I swear to be SunClan's protector, a job I'll love enough to hopefully stay awake for." He paused again, this time to laugh at himself. "Without further or do, I'll go ahead and do the honors so we can get on with shit." A wink appeared upon his right eye before he began the next step of this gathering.

Using telekinesis, the Commander lifted a crown from the pillow next to his paws and then onto his head. As the golden form slid around his ears and became comfortable on his head, things began to change. Both of his iris' faded of their old colors and now shimmered gold, with a bright red center. The black jewelry he wore turned golden as well, and a rush of energy flowed through his veins. Was this what it felt like to be deemed Commander by Helios? Maybe so, or maybe he was just getting high off of the excitement. Either way, things had changed, and he knew his mission was the same as it was before, if not more. "Thank you all for attending! You may begin the formal dance and socializing."

  • SARANGEREL ♥

This was not unlike the sunbaked cities of mud and sand far down to the south, where Sarangerel had once made a living selling fortunes and spells.

The femme hadn't done much to pretty herself up for the event. A topaz headpiece now rested across her ears, the bright bronze gem catching the light and twinkling as though it too was a flame. She'd dusted gold powder along the bones of her wings, but since silver suited her more, the gold was very faint and almost imperceptible.

Watching Suga move the crown from it's place on the cushion to his head, Sarangerel tipped her head in curiosity as the jewellery he wore shimmered into gold. She'd have to find out what magic went on there.

However, the moment Suga said formal dance, Sarangerel bit her lip and stood up. Dancing was not her forte - a sprig of lavender to sprinkle on the ground as confetti or something would be better for her.

Socializing she could do. She was good at gentle, friendly chatter.

Clearing her throat, Saran looked around - hoping to catch the eye of someone she didn't know.

  • Socializing. His favorite part, or so he acted like. He wasn't great at it, especially formal get-togethers like this, but he was going to have to learn soon. He was going to have to be more than what he was now. After jumping from his perch on the white bricked ledge, Sugaredpoison eyed the surrounding area in search of someone to talk to. There was plenty of guests, but who would want to spend their time with him?

  • * RHIANNON ABSCANTUS / 20 MOONS / SUNCLAN / HIPPIE *

rhi wasn't particularly familiar with festivals, seeing as she'd been a loner for the majority of her life, however, she was beyond thrilled to be attending one. with a grin, the cream-colored femme trotted over to take a seat beside suga and sara. she offered them both friendly smiles, eyes glistening with delight. nice to see you both, she said brightly, giving them each a respective nod. this is a pretty neat setup suga.

  • Morven, taking after his father's creativeness, was quite in awe of the beautiful colors that went with the Sun Festival. His pale golden eyes stared around the capital, a pleased smile on his face. "This is marvelous!" he exclaimed, more so to himself than any one else around him, as he approached the scene of happiness and vibrant colors. He could already tell he was going to enjoy himself here.
