Happiness in a bottle? Yeah no. No such thing. He was convinced this guy was trying to drug people. Anyone with half a brain didn't take things from strangers, that was common sense. But were these people really going to let this go down? Surprisingly he actually agreed with Jerseyboy. "Yeeaaahh I'm out. That's suspicious and I'm not naïve." Good luck to whoever fell for that.

Okay, so some were refusing his request. He had been accepting that, and didn't comment on Jerseyboy's mistrust, but the comments earned the cat a sidelong glance. Nutcase was stretching it a bit far. At the sharp but purely accurate statement from the deer, Ska'arq's head whipped around so fast he earned himself whiplash. The red vial came to life as he flinched, almost dropping the vial in his claws as he did so. Fumbling, he caught it, wheezing. He quickly turned it upright so that the dwindling, precious liquid inside didn't fall out. (Getting the liquid directly on himself wasn't fun at all.) With a throbbing knot in his neck, he looked back at Molly again. "W-w-well- It's not quite like that- I mean-" Oh, what was the use in arguing? She was right. Pulling the vial away from Witchpaw, he clipped it back onto his necklace, memories of joy flooding back as his lips twitched into a smile. It quickly faded away as he stared at the ground.
...They were probably going to try driving him out now, huh? As desperate as he was to replenish his joy, he would never force another creature to give him what he wanted. Snatching away their emotions would make him what he hated most.

-
"Heck yeah, drain my emotions, daddy!" Witchpaw laughed, happy he was not the first paladin commander to pimp himself out. He was in love with all that was supernatural and weird, so he immediately loved this emotional vampire. He unsheathed his claws to stick one in the jar, and suddenly a woozy feeling came upon him. He didn't feel so good. But who cared! He loved this guy now since he was so different than the others. "How much of my essence ya' need, pal?"

Ska'arq didn't look at Molly, but he visibly sagged. Yeah, it kinda did. Way to rub it in. Muttering under his breath, he incoherently said something about making her see how it felt to live without emotions. Which, of course, was not a threat he would ever act on. The dragon's attention snapped back to Witchpaw as he stuck his claw in the vial, despite the negativity towards the request all around him. Immediately, the liquid began to secrete from the cat's claw, slowly dripping into the vial. Swallowing heavily, the dragon bent down, staring at the raw emotion. He was mesmerized as it slowly began to fill. Maybe-- just over half? Maybe just once he could treat himself to the full feeling of happiness without it being dulled by-?
No.
With the vial a little less than a third full, Ska'arq forced himself to pull it away. With a soft sigh, the beast clipped it back onto the necklace again. Oh, sweet sweet joy. A soft sigh escaped him, both the new liquid and the yellow-green one glowing as he sat back peacefully. Cyan eyes flickering open, he looked at the wobbling feline. His jaws parted, but quickly snapped shut again. It would be downright rude to ask for another emotion. Both the blue and pale yellow vial was glowing as Ska'arq reached out with a trembling foot, gently nudging Witchpaw. If his blue vial were a little fuller, tears would be streaming down his cheeks.
"Thank you," he said quietly. The dragon stood up, moving a little closer before flattening himself to the earth, an indigo wing stretching outwards. His eyes locked with the small cat.
"A deal's a deal," he rumbled with a smile. "All aboard."
