Jinyoung Kim // Rank 1 // Specialist // South Korea
Chailai Bhuwakul // Rank 12 // Summoner // Thailand
Jinyoung sat beside Chailai and watched the events unfold. Both girls winced at the demonic thing enveloping the Korean boy, and "calmly" exited the arena when they were asked to.
They walked down the hallway with their arms linked together and chatted to each other, trying to figure out what on earth just happened. Since they had free time, the top ranking student and her closest friend made their way to the cafeteria for some sweet food.
Chailai's unusual rose-gold eyes flirted around the room, hoping someone would talk to them, whilst Jinyoung kept her head down and ate her slice of cake.

LI MARKUS ♔ — STANDBY
ASTRID AGNARSSON ♞ — For all her troubles, and for having missed breakfast, Astrid had hoped there would be something a little extra. She even tried playing up the pity card, but to no avail. All she got was a warning that next time, she won't be let off so easy and a measly sandwich. It wasn't even a good one or anything particularly filling. Just some cheese spread and a bit of ham between two slices of white bread.
Certainly does little for her appetite.
All she's been doing so far has been circling through the tables, sandwich in hand (and obviously ignored.) Astrid had hoped that shedding off a bit of energy would stir her appetite, make her desperate enough to eat the sandwich. Logic would dictate that she should probably just eat the damned thing, but her stomach misses something in particular.
Lucky for her, though, because she spots two beautiful ladies munching on goodies and looking for some company. (With the way she's getting lucky breaks lately, she's a little frightened about the backlash it'll give her soon.)
As she makes her way towards them, she recognises the two. Well, mostly the one eating the cake, since that girl, JInyoung was her name, is the top ranker around here. The other girl? Maybe a bit more thinking on that.
With a casual wave, Astrid stops in front of them and flashes a smile, though she does find her gaze lingering on the delectable treat for just a second before it reverts back to focus on the two. "Hello, fellow comrades! This seat isn't taken, yeah?" She gives a little salute to the two, before sitting herself on an empty seat, not even waiting for the response. "That was pretty crazy, right? Wonder what that demon thing was." Hopefully, that's a decent conversation starter, and if it isn't, she can always continue prattling on by her lonesome before she eventually gets bored.

At the announcement of his rank, the tears in Pandora's eyes quickly disappeared "Number 49? I thought you were a higher rank!" She said in relief. She was quite scared of the higher ranks, and knowing that someone in the lower ranks that was quite nice was reliving for her. "Oh, it's okay, i'm use to it. Really it doesn't matter at all." She chuckled nervously.

OOC- I'm going to do a timeskip. Do people agree?
-
(I don't mind)
"Honestly, I would like to be higher." Maxwell laughed. "But that's not the reason I came to find you." His voice changed to a more serious tone. "I feel bad for you. I hate to see someone like you be pushed around. I may not be as strong as the higher ranks, but I am faster than all of them. Listen if you think someone is going to hurt you, call for me. I can pick a fight with some of the higher ranks." Maxwell stated. -
agreed)))

OOC- Alright lets do this! Everyone is in the party now, and the party has just started.
IC-
If the academy has ever been so active and almost cheerful, this was the one night every school year that it happens. This was the 'introduction' party, where everyone relaxed from school work for the night and had some fun. However, after this party, they usually are sent to a life threatening mission that sometimes, only half of the class ever come back. But nevertheless, it was the time to have fun and to enjoy the evening! The party took place in what seemed like a huge ballroom, where there were drinks and a variety of high end food and snacks were available. Personal butlers came around and they would serve everyone a drink or food, and as much as they would like. Even alcohol was available to those who wanted to consume some. Despite that, it was a very relaxing party. Everyone was cheerful, and everyone was talking with each other and having a good time. Everyone except for Pandora of course. Pandora was in the corner, slight sadness in her eyes as she saw people talk to there friends. Oh how she wished she had some friends. She felt tears in her eyes but quickly wiped them away, sniffling in the process I wish I had friends... -
Marius originally felt stuck. He had been trapped in this cage absolutely infested with people. At least there was good food, though. Typically, he would have stayed locked up in his room (knowing that alcohol was involved in the party), but instead.. he willingly stepped into this proverbial 'cage'. His only reasoning for coming to this loud loud place was the fact that in this party, everyone was equal. In most other places in the academy, ranking and power always seemed to squirm their way into the lesson. But here everyone got to access the same food, same area... it was very serene. He found the joyful aura of the room intoxicating, and while he really wanted to dread coming to this party, he couldn't find it in his heart to do so. Therefore, he just stood just left of the center of the spacious room and observed the other students, usually focusing on the ones that seemed to be consuming a lot of alcohol because they were definitely the most entertaining.
-
Maxwell preferred to act like a party host then a guest. Seeing others happy is what he enjoyed and if he seen anyone upset he would try to cheer them up. Parties, the only time when everyone gets along...sometimes. Maxwell continued to walk around the ballroom , checking on everyone and making sure they are happy. Then he saw Pandora. She's upset again. Maxwell walked towards her and upon reaching her, he said. "Where's the smile, it's a party. Everyone's supposed to be happy. Why aren't you?"

FLORIAN JONES - Enhanced strength - #2
Once in a blue moon, Florian made an appearance in the school's social gatherings. Tonight was one of these rare occasions. Dressed in a simple button up, he walked around the ballroom, enjoying the jovial atmosphere. He had even taken to drinking a few glasses of... well actually he wasn't so sure what the contents were. He had politely taken whatever the waiter had offered him. So he may be a little bit buzzed. Not enough to give him the stupidity to make himself a public humiliation but enough for him to be itching to do something more than simply walk around and observe. Looking around, his eyes locked on the first person he spotted on their own. He turned and began to walk in that direction. "Enjoying the party?" He asked as he finally approached Marius, some of the contents of his glass sloshing over the brim as he gestured wildly to the room.

ANDRESA MILLER - Summoner - #44
Andresa may not be in the ballroom but her tiny familiar was. While she grumpily chose to hole herself in her room and sleep early, the tiny dragon was lured to the bright lights and smell of finger food. Currently it had managed to set up temporary camp beneath one of the tables provided at the end of the ballroom. Despite not being capable of actually consuming things, it did not stop it from snatching away scraps of food that was dropped onto the floor. Beneath the table it was gathering up quite a stash. Some of the items weren't even eatable. A watch and an earring was just two examples.
-
Uriel Santiago;;
Uriel enjoyed social gatherings, much more than his familiar did of course but that didn't matter. The rather tall young male stood to the side a bit, taking in the sites that were available for his oculars to see, some overly drunk students to the left near the bar, some dancing in the centre, some eating by the buffet tables and some standing off to the side chatting. All students he had seen before and beaten in most battles to get where he was today, a soft yawn escaped the young mans lips and a voice alerted him to his friends appearance. "Tired? Sol thinks we should leave if you are tired." His familiar was behind him, a large shadowy figure that seemed as if smoke rose from its body, its white eyes peering out into the sea of students. "Now now Sol, I haven't even had a thing to drink yet or spoken to anybody." He could feel his friend sigh but Uriel was optimistic about the night, perhaps he would see Aymeric here or at the least talk to someone.

Marius was forced to be separated from his own little world from the sudden interaction from his (much) higher ranked classmate. He hadn't thought anyone was going to approach him so he was a more than a bit surprised. Especially since prior to this party he had been convinced that all of the really high ranked students would only converse between themselves. "O-oh. Yeah." He managed to spit out, worrying that he made a fool of himself in front of such a more important member of his class as Florian was.

[i'll read on what i posted tomorrow haha dont even care anymore if it makes sense]
macchiato_latte hey man, i uh interacted with the girl's familiar! just a heads up, i guess.
LI MARKUS ♔ — Parties. Is there anything more fearsome to the common and painfully shy wallflower? (Yes, obviously. Public-speaking, being stared at, having to perform in public... But that's beside the point.) Fears are meant to be overcome, but overcoming fear is usually taken in small easy steps, not a giant leap like this.
There are people packed in numerous corners and areas of the room, and by the looks of it, groups are starting to slowly form. A good thing for those people that have started to find people who they can get along with, but a bad sign for Markus' continued independence. He never did well when he didn't have a group to keep him afloat. If he can't find a group to shack up with, he'll probably end up like Pandora, bullied and ostracised and alone!
That's no way to think about Pandora. Markus quickly chastises himself, because it's true. She's suffering, and all he chooses to do about it is keep his distance, rather than actively help with the problem. The guilt is short-lived, however, replaced by a gratitude that he has enough self control to not have inadvertently mumbled it aloud. Markus is sure that if he had done so, he would likely have been struck down, whether by some of the more righteous classmates or divine judgment itself.
Well, he spoke too soon there.
As he ritually takes off his glasses to wipe them off, someone bumps into him, strong enough that his glasses fall to the ground. Who knows who that someone is, but his mind lingers on the idea of divine judgment and that this was his karma: to crawl on the ground and feel around for his glasses on the dirty floor.
With little choice to do none other than just that, Markus bends down and goes to pick up his glasses. That is, until a black shadowy thing, incredibly blurred and vague without his glasses, catches his attention. It might have been just his imagination, but something compels him to reach out and touch it rather than just pick up his oculars and go on his way.

Pandora looked up at Maxwell, sniffling slightly "I don't like parties because no one likes me." At this, Pandora started to full out cry as she curled herself into a tiny ball. Of course, at the sight of this, some people were outright laughing at her, one of them being Clare "Wow what a cry baby. Now we know who we're gonna leave behind if we are ever in a bad situation!" Clare exclaimed, while she and her friends started outright laughing. Pandora looked sadly at them before looking back at Maxwell "It's okay, you can go have fun. I'll be alright."

Madeleine Howlett | Rank 18 | Enhancement | British-French
Maddy came to the party late. She hadn't wanted to come but decided she may as well make an appearance. If she was lucky, maybe Florian would go. Company would be greatly appreciated at a social gathering, since Maddy wasn't the greatest person to start a conversation of even making new friends. As her eyes scanned the crowds, she found Florian chatting with Marius. Her friend looked just a little bit drunk, and Maddy sighed. She hoped Florian would be able to walk in a straight line by the end of the night.
"Hey, Flo," Maddy said softly, tapping her friend on the shoulder. "And your, Marius."

Lysandre Rosier | Rank 3 | Manipulative | Canadian
"Well, well," Lysandre murmured, crouching down and peering down underneath one of the tables, attracted by the interesting magic aura radiating from below. "Aren't you Andresa's little familiar?"Sitting cross-legged, Lysandre propped his hands in his chin and stared at the little dragon. He was intrigued by the familiar, and while he was ok with social gatherings, he was most certainly interested in the familiars of all Summoners. He was very interested in that kind of magic.
-
Rose arrived at the party wearing a simple knitted cardigan over a casual shirt and skirt. she looked around wondering who she could hang around. She was normally a friendly person but when it came to parties she was usually a wall flower till someone would speak with her. then shed like to sit and talk and occasionally get up and dance. Although shed always like to leave early and do something with a small group of friends or just one other person. for now though she was in a surrounding with people she wasnt too familiar with so she simply leaned against a wall, sipped on a cup of punch, and admired the social enviorment
-
Just shut it Clare you did enough damage"Come on, I can't have fun at a party knowing that someone is upset" He said trying to cheer her up."Lets find something to cheer you up.What do you think."
