Roxy looked surprised but she allowed herself to smile. "Alright, alright! Bookstore!" She laughed.

Sherlock smiled back. "We'll save Meriwether Shores yet!" He laughed, running through the near empty streets with Roxy.
-
Roxy smiled, surprised by his laugh as she ran along after him.
-
Sherlock took her to the bookstore, swiftly snatching Meriwether's entire book series off the shelf. "You're helping me read these."
-
Roxy nodded in agreement. "Alright. I can start on the second, since I mostly read the first.
-
"There are twenty of these things, we'll need both of us reading them to catch every little detail..." He grumbled, counting out money silently.
-
Roxy looked over the books getting distracted. "A photographic memory is nice." She mumbled.
-
"Then you're helping me write summaries of them too." Sherlock mumbled, paying the cashier and handing the bag of books to Roxy. "And now we see Meriwether."
-
Roxy nodded slightly, taking the bag. "Whatever you need me to do." She told him.
-
Sherlock nodded, looking down at Roxy for a long moment. "Thank you." He murmured, taking her other hand.
-
Roxy looked up at quietly for a moment. "You don't have to thank me." Her voice was soft.
-
"Yes, I do." Sherlock whispered. "Not even John ran around with me in the middle of the night most times." He smiled a little.
-
Roxy gave him a soft smile, her voice growing quieter. "Well, I'm not John." She paused, her smile growing more playful. "I'll run around in the middle of the night with you whenever you want."
-
Sherlock laughed, looking down at her. "You should smile more, Roxy." He tlld her softly.
-
Roxy looked surprised, and a bit uncertain although her smile didn't fade. "And you should laugh more... But why should I smile more?" She had debated asking, but her curiosity won out.
-
Sherlock smiled a little. "Oh, you just should." He told her. "Now, I believe we're needed by an author."
-
Roxy only looked more curiousbut she nodded. "Right, yes. Let's go!"
-
Sherlock looked around for a cab. "Looks like we're walking this one." He concluded, giving Roxy's hand a squeeze.
-
Roxy looked surprised but she smiled and glanced up at him. "That's not too bad." She toldhim, starting to walk.
-
Sherlock walked beside her, taking in a breath of air. He closed his eyes for a moment and let his shoulder brush Roxy's.
