Kai laid back, resting his head on the floor. His gaze stayed on Chara, them looking full of innocence.

"What are you up to?" she asked suspiciously, "And, why do you want Miss Swann's medallion so bad?"

"I can't tell you that. But I also can't help you in these bonds. There is something about those pirates that you don't know and with out me, you won't be able to save your friends." Kai had started to sit up but decided against it and laid his head back down, his eyes moving to the ceiling as if he was attempting to play hard to get, which was exactly what he was doing.

"Well, how about you enlighten me. Then we'll talk about you helping out and whatnot." She offered.

Kai kept silent for a long moment. He didn't want to tell her the reason. Why was that? Was it because he found it hard to look away from her? Was it because of that feeling he got when ever she spoke despite her words?

Chara knelt down, attempting to look Kai in the eyes but not having much luck, "Well? You can either tell me or keep silent; it's your choice. But you're not helping yourself any by remaining silent. I can't help if I don't know how. You may be a pirate, and in the short period I've known you you've pulled some pretty bad stunts, but... For some reason, I don't get the impression that you're actually a bad person."

Kai continued to look at the ceiling as she talked until her last few words. He shifted his eyes over to her and kept them there, not saying anything at first. "They took someone I care about her," he finally said softly, his voice cracking near the end.

Chara's head tilted to the side, "They took someone? Like, they're holding her prisoner? Why?"

I never said her Kai thought but didn't say it aloud. It didn't matter anymore; she knew by the way he had said it. "Yes, because they want the medallion. They are holding her in return for it. Happy now? Just please, let me save her."

Chara sighed, struggling internally with what to do. Finally, she walked behind him with her sword and cut him loose.

Kai looked up at her gratefully and rose to his feet, rubbing his wrists as he did so. "We don't have long. They would have already left, wasting no time. Luckily for you, I know where they are going. We just need a ship, and a crew."

Will and Clare had walked though the door and Will glared at Kia,"Why did she untie you?!"

Chara placed herself between Kai and Will, holding her hands up as if to fend off her friend, "Easy, Will. He knows where they're going. He wants to get to them as well, that's why he wanted the medallion."

Kai instinctively started to grab his sword but stopped. He didn't want to make enemies out of these people more than he already had. If he was going to get his girl back, and they were going to get theirs, they would have to work together. "Because you need me to find your girl. Fighting isn't going to help any of us. I know where they are heading. With the four of us, we only need a handful more to run a ship. We just need one of those."

Will sighed a bit,"Fine but why should we trust him though? I mean he can just go to them without the medallion so why does he want it so badly?"

"I can't do that. They would kill me if I didn't bring it to them. It's not like I want to but I have to. Now stop asking questions. They already have a headstart. We are running out of time!" Kai raised his voice, getting angry.
Recap: Will doesn't like Kai because he is a pirate but Kai is trying to convince them to forget their differences. They need Kai to find Barbossa and his crew before they kill Elizabeth and (starts with an A). Chara now knows why Kai has to give them the medallion (because they are trading it for his girl though she doesn't know who it is that he is trying to save).

Chara nodded, "We need to save Elizabeth. If what he's saying is true, then he can help us save her, Will."
