Sign-Up Thread: Pirates of the Caribbean; Curse of the Black Pearl(GxB)(Characters Open)((Sign-Up))

I'll go ahead and start everyone out.

    ~IC~

Charaphenelia was hard at work at the Smith's shop, waiting for Will to return so they could deliver the sword they had been working on to Governor Swann. She knew Will was looking forward to seeing Elizabeth-er, Miss Swann-again. Chara wiped at her brow as sweat beaded at her forehead. Taking a moment, she stepped outside. She knew she would not be missed-their master was asleep in the corner and would be for quite sometime. She took a breath of fresh air and looked in the direction of the sea. It was odd, but she had always wondered what it would be like to sail on the sea. However, many believed having a woman on a ship brought bad luck-so no sailor would willingly take her with him. Except maybe a pirate-they were a little more lenient on such things-or so she'd heard. She shook herself from the thought. Pirates were wanted by the law, to even speak with one would get you a trial.

  • Will walked back inside humming softly having just returned from a earnen his master wanted him to run. He smiled as he walked over to the table seeing that the sword was done. He then looked around for Chara wondering where she was at so they could go give the sword to the governor and he could hopefully see Miss. Swann again.

Clare was walking around the port quietly trying to find some people for her crew. She sighed and headed towards the town thinking quietly as she walked and looked around at the shops. She was hoping though that no one would realize her dad worked for the Lord and would ask why she was out here since she was not wearing a pirates hat but was wearing a outfit you wouldn't typically see someone like her wear.

  • ((We may have to wait for some of the others to come on, but we'll RP until we get to the point of needing them and whatnot))

Thinking she heard a noise, Chara took one last breath before going back inside. Upon seeing Will's return, she smiled, "Welcome back, I presume the errand went well?"

  • ((Ok that works))

Chara nodded, "Just knocked out a couple of dings, strengthened the blade a little and sharpened it. One of our finest works, if I do say so myself. I think the Governor will be quite pleased with our work."

  • Alice had been making her daily rounds in Port Royale, her black hair braided carefully. A simply bandana tied around her head, looking as though nothing more than your common housemaid.
She found the blacksmithy she had been looking for, her brown eyes cheery as she knocked and then entered." Pardon me, messieurs!" She chimed in her obvious french accent. Her eyes resting on Will and Chara." Oh! Je suis désolé! I did not recognize the presence of a young lady!"
She dipped her head as to show her sorry." My Lord wished for me to seek the best blacksmiths in Port Royale and I was referred here, would you say that is correct?" She asked almost to challenge Chara and Will. She could see them working on a separate sword, but Alice knew exactly what she wanted and certainly how to get it.

  • Chara turned to the sudden voice and appearance of a young woman, whose accent threw her off a bit-French accents were common in England-and gave the woman her attention, "I would like to say that we are, Miss. How can we help you?"

  • ((Is there anything you have in mind for Tess to do? Like kinda how I put Chara in working with Will, maybe Tess works in the Governor's household or in a place near the Smiths'?))

  • Alice's cheeks pulled into a warm smile. Her teeth well groomed despite her clothing suggesting that she wouldn't be able to afford such luxuries.
"My lord requires a...competent blade. Preferably one that would stand well in battle but also appear attractive enough to hang on a wall. His current blade is in disrepair. And he will pay handsomely for a replacement. Perhaps you have a few premade that I could look at?" She inquired, in brown eyes appearing honest.

  • //Sure! I'll have him loiter and work as a servant for now. I have tired brain right now, so pardon me if anything seems off. lol I'll just make him a boring servant for now... omg my bean

Tess stood to the side his left arm poised delicately against his chest while the other lay loose at his side. The young male seemed ready to jump into action at a moment's notice, with his elegant stance and seemingly ready to serve attitude nearly thrown off balance when the governor began to mutter to himself in conflict. Tess quirked an eyebrow at the governor but didn't say anything for fear of the look he had received the last time he spoke out of turn and disrupted the man's work. this is bad bad reply is bad Tess is bad reply because I have fish memory

  • ((Lol you're good))

Chara remained smiling as she answered, "My apologies, Miss. But at the moment we do not. We hand craft blades to the specifics of our clients, the only things we have for quick sales as common swords and such. If your Master is looking for something extravagant, we do not have any for show."

  • Not yet, there's the whole 'saving Elizabeth and then holding her hostage' thing. And of course sword fighting with Will. Then he goes to jail lol

  • Alice's masquerade of politeness faded. "Such a inconvenience.I am in a very compromising situation, Mademoiselle. So you must excuse me for the haste? Even a simple blade would do, but if you truly have none...I fear I must take my business elsewhere."
Her brown eyes seemed to examine the room, false distaste in her eyes. She pulled a hefty purse from her side, clinking with coin." It is a shame, perhaps I could pay in advance for a rushed order?" She added.

  • Chara's eyebrows pulled together in confusion for the woman's behavior, but answered nonetheless, "You can pay half now if you wish, for a sword fit to your description and without any delays, I'd say we could have it done in... Three days, perhaps. Or if you'd prefer, you can choose from our selection of common swords and we can sharpen it and polish it up a bit. It'll be doable, but not very pretty."

    ((Totally fine))
