SHAUN DELAINEY FARRIS
everything was great and grand as shaun entered the reception
hall. she was at a beautiful yet bittersweet wedding
celebrating the marriage of two of her friends from high school.
as much as she loved being here to support her friend, however,
it was a little rough, realizing that it had begun. how many
more of her friends would tie the knot before it was her turn?
shaun had dressed accordingly for this event. a stunning
cornflower blue dress hugged her lithe body nicely, highlighting
every curve. the fabric came down to about mid-thigh and sliced
down the middle of the front as well. her hair was tied up in an
attractive braided bun. it was interesting how a simple piece of
clothing could make a person glow in a crowd.
the three girls entered the room and shaun looked around, a simple
smile on her lips. she was scanning the room when one of the girls
nudged her. "girl, you are never going to believe who's sitting at
our table." for a moment, her heart skipped. surely not... surely
it couldn't be...
turning on her friend, shaun snatched the seating chart and read
over the names quickly. groaning to herself, she closed her eyes.
"girls, i am going to need a drink..." making their way to the bar,
shaun ordered a beverage that would be weak enough to allow her to
keep her bearings tonight, but strong enough to wipe her memory when
she woke up the next day. once she was armed, she and her friends
approached the table where morgan and a couple other men sat. shaun
kept her eyes down as the other girls greeted their seatmates.
ooc;
no worries :) i understand rushed posts
okay, i like it a lot ;) sounds like some more drama is exactly
what the doctor ordered! let's do it ^_^
maybe we were too young to feel something real. [pafp]

MORGAN O'CONNORmorgan's friend nudged him as the girls approached and his gaze shifted from shaun to her friends, his friends bothered him once more. "remind me again what was the last time you and shaun saw and slept with each other?" that's where morgan looked at him with a complete deadpan expression. "it's a fair question, man. That's all you two do when you see each other." His other friend added on. Morgan brought up a hand to gently smack each of his two friends in the back of the head before proceeding to take another sip of his drink as the girls approached to sit down.
unbuttoning the bottom button of his grey waistcoat, having abandoned the blazer in his car, adjusting his black tie and checking over his white blouse once more, he was already mentally tired. he did not want to deal with her right now. the wedding has been fine, though mostly mentally terrifying for himself. he was terrified of the idea of marriage, it was too much commitment for him to deal with. how the hell does someone decide to stay with someone forever? there was always other, more interesting people in the world, what if he chose the wrong one and it all just went badly?
looking to the girls, he looked them all up and down to take in their appearance while the boys' were all wearing waistcoats and ties over dress shirts and pants. "evidently the organiser had a sense of humour." he said wih a chuckle.

SHAUN DELAINEY FARRIS
shaun took a deep breath and put on a friendly but not invitingsmile as she and her girlfriends approached the table. she hoped
it didn't read on her face how little she actually wanted to be
here in this exact moment, but there was little she could do about
it now. as the girls greeted the others sat at the table, she kept
her mouth shut and her eyes away from him. whoever's bright idea
it had been to place the two of them at the same table must have
been a complete imbecile.
as she took her seat, the young woman adjusted her attractive dress,
though there wasn't much she could do to make it more appropriate
based on her company. luckily for her, the other two girls were
already soaking up attention like they needed it to survive. shaun,
on the other hand, quietly sipped her drink, praying that the reception
would be short and that she could slip out relatively quickly afterwards.
there didn't need to be any conflict tonight. all she wanted was a
peaceful meeting that didn't end with her in bed with morgan o'connor.

ooc;
small bump :)
hope all's well

MORGAN O'CONNORleaning back comfortably in his seat as he watched more people file in, of course his dumbass friends decided to speak up and started to try his luck with either one of shaun's friends and morgan found himself intrigued.leaning forward slightly and sitting upright to pick up his drink and take another sip, he found himself smiling at one of the girl's laugh, finding her rather cute. every time he spoke, he made it clear he was paying attention and chuckled at her attempts at being funny, though they weren't very good. good thing she was pretty...
of course as the conversation continued as the bride and groom entered and took their seats followed by food was brought out, morgan gave her a couple winning smirks and avoided shaun's eye contact as much as possible. he was looking forward to dancing with this girl later after any speech garbage and maybe seeing her afterwards...until she opened her mouth. looking between shaun and morgan, she spoke up. "you two have known each other for so long, why aren't you guys dating?" and at this point any enjoyment morgan was having went out the window and his face shifted from a smile to a stern expression. Why and how did this girl think, hell, did she think about what she just said?he turned to look at shaun and raised an eyebrow. "do you want to explain or shall i?" he asked, irish accent thick as he spoke.
ooc: ahhh sorry it's been really busy~ T^T
if this is really dumb i'm so sorry lol i have no clue how to flirt.

SHAUN DELAINEY FARRIS
the wedding had gone from nice and pleasant to excruciatingvery quickly. shaun's girlfriends wasted no time flirting
with morgan's friends as well as morgan, himself. all the
while, shaun kept her head down, occasionally sipping from
her drink. the longer she drank, however, the more she realized
there wasn't enough alcohol in the world that could make this
situation any less awkward.
every time he laughed at her friend lauren's jokes, shaun
couldn't help but roll her eyes. lauren wasn't funny and
she was putting on a show, just for morgan. it was enough
to make shaun's stomach churn unpleasantly. then came the
question. the question shaun hated more than anything. why
aren't you two dating?
after spending almost ten minutes avoiding eye contact with
the man she'd spent so much of her life loving and hating, she
looked up abruptly and stared straight back at him. the tone in
his voice made her want to get defensive, but somehow she
managed to hold it in. looking at him icily, she spoke for the
first time since sitting down. "oh please. be my guest." her
voice was very calm and neutral as she watched him, her almost
empty glass in hand.
ooc;
hey, no worries at all :)
i understand being busy, trust me ^_^
and as far as flirting goes, your guess is as good as mine ~
-
MORGAN O'CONNORmorgan raised his eyebrows and tilted his head before speaking up. "well i'm shocked for one that you're coming to terms with your control issues." it was like instinct to him to let the insults go. "but being the posh one she is, shaun and i tried dating beforehand but was never happy with anything i did at the time. i tried bringing her flowers, she pointed out how they were inevitably going to die, i got her sweets, she explained that we weren't together often enough and when i tried to invite her out, she was never interested or said she was 'too busy' or some crap."
this had full out set him off, he didn't care for lauren anymore and even his friends looked at him and saw that he was going a bit too far. bringing up the past memories of a long gone past and the every few nights they had spent together in some form of haze. he needed a stronger drink, he needed a smoke, he needed something to just get him out of here and out of this situation. he can hide a fair amount, but when it came to flight or fight, he could fight verbally, but his defence was to run away.
ooc: lmao i'm a gamer who likes to stay home in the dark, my flirting knowledge is minimal. xD

SHAUN DELAINEY FARRIS
shaun scowled as he played the victim. as he ran down anobviously rehearsed list of her flaws, she only got more
frustrated. "that is just like you to play the victim and
make me out to be the bad guy. maybe i didn't want to go
out with you because all you ever want to do is party or
go out with your friends!" despite her anger, she was hurt
a little, remembering the times they'd tried to make it
work. she'd loved him once... or at least she'd convinced
herself it had been love.
"and are you sure you don't want to mention that all those
times you brought me apology chocolates was to make up for
not being around? i wasn't just saying we were spending enough
time together for the sake of complaining. but then again, i
guess you're too thick to understand another human being's
emotions."
more than anything, the young female just wanted to get out
of here. this was a nightmare, just as every other encounter
the two had shared within the past five years had been. behind
her anger was the stupid urge to cry. this urge only got worse
when she realized everyone was staring at her. even people from
the surrounding tables had chanced a peek to see what all the
commotion was about.
standing up abruptly, shaun grabbed her handbag. "i'm going
to get some fresh air," she announced to her table, leaving
her empty glass on the table and rushing away before anyone
could say anything. she would not cry in front of him.
she would not give him that satisfaction, ever again. she
hated being watched and in that moment she could feel
every eye in the place on her. even if theyweren't looking at
her, her skin burned like they were. she had to get out.
ooc;
i'm a freshman in college who lost all her high school friends over
some stupid fight ^_^" all my college friends live too far away, and
every attempt at "romantic whatever" has always ended poorly
so i get that 199%, my friend

MORGAN O'CONNORwatching she walked away, morgan let out a breath he didn't know he was holding in, and his muscles relaxed, however, he couldn't feel more tense. he couldn't bother to listen to his friends talking about it anymore and he stood up, picking up his blazer from the bakc of his chair, and made his way outside. the facility had an incredibly decorated garden with flowers all over, including an elaborate maze. walking through until he found himself in the maze he ran a hand through his hair as he reached into his back pocket to pull out his phone and look at the time. it was already 10pm and there was still a couple hours left in the reception. he was considering leaving. but that'd be rude to the couple and his friends were his ride home, and one was definitely into shaun's other friend.
walking a bit longer, he found himself at a gazebo, either in a corner of or in the center of the maze itself, stepping in, he leaned against one of the railings and pulled out a pack from his back pocket, pulled out a single cigarette before placing it between his lips and lighting it. he inhaled a long drag before removing it and exhaling a cloud of smoke. why did he feel almost bad after upsetting her? he shouldn't feel bad... it's been too long for this to happen.
-
water sloshed around in the fountain behind shaun as she satin the garden, sulking. why? why after all this time could he
still get under her skin like this? it wasn't fair. why did the
stupid universe not want her to be happy? if it did, it wouldn't
keep dropping morgan o'connor in her lap without warning.
with herface in her hands, the young woman tried to hold off
tears. she couldn't leave now. that wouldn't be fair to her
friend getting married and on top of that, she hadn't been the
one driving. on top of that fact, she wasn't exactly sober. she'd
gone through her wine quickly and while she hadn't been drunk enough
to go unbothered by her ex's stinging words, she wasn't sure driving
would be a good idea.
sighing, she stared at the ground a short ways away. there a couple
of birds playfully chased each other around, ruffling each other's
feathers and then flying away and allowing the other to follow. it
was a cute scene to watch, but yet again, the young woman was hurt
by something that could never be in her own life. was it stupid to
take that out of watching two birds? probably. but here she was, the
saddest person at a wedding of all places. the thought of morgan still
inside flirting lauren's dress off didn't help.

ooc;
the smallest of bumps :)
hope all is well ~
-
ooc;
bump in case you even kind of still want to do this thread
-
//ahhh! sorry that i'm coming back to this so late. it's been so insanely busy here. literally the day you bumped i was working on a reply and then 2 days later i was in the hospital and it's been a process since.
i've sort of lost the muse for this but i am 100% open to making a new thread is you are!
-
ooc;
i understand completely ^_^
i hope you're feeling better after whatever happened!
but yeah, if you want to plot out an idea for some other thread, i'm completely up for the idea!
i love starting new threads and i'm pretty open to ideas, so if there's anything specific you have in mind, i'd love to hear it :)
-
Thank you so much for understanding! And yes I'm doing much better!
Well I'm currently really feeling a fantasy style threads or gang threads but open to anything rn.
-
i'd be potentially open to either of those!
could you be more specific on the kind of fantasy or gang plots you might have?
-
In terms of gangs, I have a plot with a girl getting kidnapped into the drug trade gangs? Or even gang wars. I'm really open to anything
-
Okay, I like the sound of that... If we were to go the kidnapping route, what would be your ideal end goal? Like why would they kidnap her? Also, which character would you like to play if we go down this road?
-
It was supposed to be based off narcos in a way like they kidnap girls into their trade and stuff in the hope of gaining money but I was going to say the boss takes an interest in her but idk how much I like that anymore.
Maybe the girl's dad owes the gangs a debt she doesn't know about so they take her as payment because her dad can't afford to pay the debt?
Another option is an undercover cop trying to infiltrate a gang? I'd prefer the gang leader or such if I had to play one.
-
Hmm... I think I like the second one, if you'd be interested in that. The one where her dad trades her to the gang as a means of paying his debt. I haven't actually seen Narcos, yet, so I can only say I think I know what you mean by that, but all of these ideas are appealing to me, so whichever one you want to do most, I'd be more than happy to participate. ^_^
