  • "RiverClan?" The call came from the sandy-furred creature as she approached. With every step the slender creature took her paws sunk slightly in the soft sand. She was used to it. The girl's quite obvious Australian accent instantly made on thing of the land in which dingoes were found. More often than any other part of the country they were found in the top end. Beaches, sand and heat were no stranger to the canine. How she'd come to be here when her accent obviously had her place of origin being halfway across the world was the real mystery. She was by the riverside, dark brown eyes looking out over the water at the island before her. Ebony knew she was in the right place for she could smell it, the scent of many creatures all joined together. Plus... how many exotic islands could there be in the area?

    Observant eyes were searching for any signs of movement on the island when she saw it. Someone was coming. The appearance of the clanner had an easy smile winding its way onto her maw. With ease the dingo waded through the shallow river to reach the island. She supposed that now there was someone there they surely wouldn't care if she set foot on the island. It might have been trespassing before, but now there was someone here and so surely it didn't count. Wet up to her knees from the quick river crossing, the canine stopped on the sandy banks of the river as the RiverClanner came towards her. She couldn't see how they were feeling, but she still wore an inviting grin.

    "I'm Ebony - Eb to most people. Here to join." Her voice rang out confidently and although her accent clearly set her apart as different, she seemed to be someone who could socialise easily with others. As she spoke her tail gave a small wag of greeting, chocolate eyes looking out at the clanner.

  • Westley moved forward toward the fellow canine with interest. A dingo, eh? He had actually seen one of her kind before out on the see, though they weren't as friendly as this lovely lady. A small smile stretched across the retriever's muzzle as he began to greet her, " Greetings, lovely! My name is Westley and I'm glad you've come to join Riverclan. " The male sat down and looked around for anyone else, but quickly turned back to Ebony his sea-blue eyes watching her carefully, " I'm pretty new as well, but everyone here is quite friendly." He wanted to tell her this, just in case she felt that this clan might not except her at her first. Then again, that may have just been him when he joined...

  • The dingo's keen brown eyes had fallen upon the form of a fellow canine. She'd watched as the golden furred male approached her, taking in his sea-blue eyes and the smile that matched her own.He hadn't spoken yet but already Eb had decided she liked this guy. Y'know how you could just tell by looking at someone that they were a good person? That feeling of instantly approving of someone? That's what was going on in the Australian's head as the dog approached her.

    He was speaking now and the canine's ears were pricked to catch his words. 'Lovely'. She'd never had such names used on her before and yet she didn't mind it, finding his friendly nature to be warm and inviting. "Thank you! It's a pleasure to meet you, West. Is West alright?" The friendly bark came from the sand coloured dog as she too took a seat, nestling back on her haunches and her head tilting to the side in curiosity. As someone who nearly everyone referred to as Eb or Ebby (rarely Ebony but maybe the clanners would be different) she was used to being nicknamed and using them on others in return. "It's great to meet you by the way. How long have you been here?" She understood he was quite new himself, but she was curious as to what counted as 'new' around here.

  • Newt — Tags
    The next person to arrive was a soaking wet tabby, a sheepish smile forming on his features as he walked up to the others. He had been observing some of the more colorful species of fish around the islands when some NPC thought it would be funny to push him in. Luckily he could swim pretty well, and managed to get back to the beach without much difficulty. His fur was still soggy though, and probably smelled faintly of fish for no reason at all. "Um yeah, welcome to Riverclan! Newt, it's a pleasure to meet you." Taking a moment to shake out his fur, he stole a glance at Westly before looking back to Ebony. "I hope you didn't mind wading through water to get here. It's a bit hard to have dry fur in a place like this."

  • Paw steps. She could hear the telltale sounds of someone walking through sand and her pricked ears flicked towards the noise. Almost instantly the canine's chocolate eyes left the male she'd been talking to. She'd liked the golden retriever quite a bit, but she was easily distracted and this newcomer was practically calling for her attention. Well, not really. Nevertheless the dingo's dark gaze was soon landing upon a feline. The tabby was tan coloured and had blue-green eyes and for some reason was absolutely saturated. He also looked strangely nervous and uncomfortable around her, as if he'd never seen a bloody dingo before.

    The sandy girl's head cocked sideways, tilting to the left as her brow furrowed slightly for a moment. "You look like a drowned rat, buddy," here she offered a joking grin - well somewhat joking, it was well meant but he did look that way. "what happened to you?" He, being Newt apparently, was saying he hoped she didn't mind the water and a light laugh slipped from her lips. Her? Be bothered by the water? No way. Giving a shake of her head the Aussie spoke up again, her tail wagging as she did so. "And oh, the water really doesn't bother me. I used to live by the coast so the whole beach thing is nothing new really. Do you like it?"

  • //sorry for the late response ^^;

    Westley let out a small chuckle. Many people seemed to be calling him ' West' and it felt kinda nice to have a nickname, " Of course you may! That is, if I may call you Eb or Ebby." Though this was really just a joke, it would be nice to give this new friend a nickname. At the question of how long he had been there, he let out a gentle sigh, " A few days, I presume. I'm not the best at keeping time. So, I suppose we're both fairly new." His smile was still there, though a bit more casual at this point as they talked. West turned his head to look at Newt, his head tilted slightly as he tried to recall if he'd met him either. It was a little hard, what with all these people.
