Jay listened as his mom left and Mikey came in. He stayed looking at the window. He stayed quiet as the sound of machiens causally beeped.

Mikey neared his bed slowly. "Jay? You still with me buddy?"

Jay was quiet. Luckily for them the doctors left the room and it was just the two of them. His heart hurt and he didn't know why. Maybe he missed Mike? No. He's trying to keep me from Richard right? His hands stiffened to a fist. His voice was crushed and mangled, partially due to the nose tubes and the fucked up lungs he now has. "Why?" He asked. It wasn't directed as to 'Why consider me your buddy' or 'Why come here', but as to a 'Why did you do this to me?'

Somewhat the Squip said as Mikey came closer. "Look Jay, I'm sorry. I've been a terrible friend. I never should have given you that freaking pill....it almost got you killed. I'm so freaking sorry Jay. I though it would help you...but it just made everything worse....you probably don't want me in your life anymore, right?" he asked tearing up a bit

Jayden, which is Jay's full name, took in a deep breath as his heart began to ache even more. It hurt. Squip... I don't think I need you anymore. I know how to be cool now. I know how to get what I want. "No." He said and slowly turned his face to look Mike in the eyes. Jayden's face was scratched up with a few stitches and a wrap on his skull from the break. "I can't push away family."

Are you asking me to deactivate? You know I can't just turn off on my own. You need to drink your old favorite the Squip informed. It knew its job was done and was ready to be done. Michael, which as Mikey's full name, looked at Jay in surprise. "You consider me family?"

Jayden looked away. "Mike... Get me some Red MD." He said, avoiding the question.

Mikey nodded leaving the room for a moment before coming back holding the red bottle. "You sure about this?"

He weekly reached out his hand and grabbed the bottle without hesitation and opened it before drinking it. He felt amazing. His favorite drink... He jerked in pain for a moment and held his head. Felt like a micture if a migraine and a brain freeze

Mikey watched as he drank and then had a jolt of pain shot through. Inside his brain the Squip was short circuiting and until finally disappearing. Goodbye Jay it said right before it became quiet in his brain again. "D-did it work?" Mikey asked nearing him

Jayden began to cry. Not sobbing it anything, but his eyes just watered. He was free to think and act his own way. He reached out for Mikey's hand.

Mikey grabbed his hand and squeezed it back. "So is the old Jay back?" he asked

Mikey was close to Jayden. Jay forced himself to reach up and gently place his lips on his cheek right next to his mouth. The machines began to beep loudly as his heart beat began to pick up.

Mikey smiled and blushed a bit before bending down to fully kiss Jay on the lips noticing Jay's heart rate pick up

Jay laied back onto the bed, now he could rest and not be in pain. But the kiss that was placed on his lips just now hurt him still. His heart hurt as it beat more and more rapidly. He kissed back. He was excited and happy and confused all at the same time. There was a click and a nurse hurried into the room with a worried look on her face but froze seeing the two boys kissing

Mikey heard his heart rate beating more rapidly and started pulling away as he heard footsteps. He turned around to see the nurse and backed away from Jay a bit

The nurse cleared her throat and walked over to the machines, giving him a shot of morphine and adjusted the settings. She turned to look at Mikey. "Jayden Lamnett can't have anything too exciting... But. What you were erm... Doing didn't get his heart rate over 120, so it's fine..."
