"These... Aren't my cloths. I stole them. I had no choice. If I were to decide to leave them, I'd have frozen to death or have been raped or got some kind of damn infection!" The lion Infront of Mere simply didn't care. They pointed out of the house and she ran. The worst part of it was, it was night time and there were zombies out and about. If only I had been born with wings like my brother... Her brother, Chris Stripes, had wings and a more lizard like face, but he had been eaten and turned. Turned into a cursed flesh eater. She ran and ran, but the mangled snarl of a flesh eater made her hide behind a tree. No weapons... No help... Just her and three flesh eaters heading her way. Her neon blue eyes widened in fear as her heart began to race

  • Little clouds floated lazily across the sky. The were light and fluffy. Nothing to worry about. There was nothing to worry about. Except, yknow, the flesh eating zombies, the constant lack of food, the constant lack of shelter, the gangs and groups that popped up. Those especially. She had seen it from a distance. They were cooking something around a fire. Another person saw and approached them, friendly matter weapons sheathed. They.. they attacked him on sight and... and they ate him. They weren't zombies, but they might as well have been.
She opened her heterochromatic eyes as noise began to fill the space. She was up in a tree, seemingly the only place zombies could not get. The wolf/fox sat up, clinging to the side of the branch. Peering around the massive trunk, it could see the zombies coming and someone running from them. They hid behind the tree, but it was obvious that they knew where they were hiding. Alsyian turned and reached down to the other survivor.
"Hurry! Theyre coming!" She said quickly. "You have to come up here!"

Her neck fur rose at the sound of another person. Turning her terrified face up, she immediately reached up. Hope my claws don't cut you! She inwardly pleaded. Just as she was pulled up the tree, the zombies were there. She had to quickly flick her long tail up so that they wouldn't get it. She sighed and leaned back. "Thank you..." She was holding onto the tree with her claws dug in. Tightly. Her neon eyes opened, still shot with fear as she looked to the much darker pelted female. "Thank... You. I'm... Mere Stripes..." She was panting, not noticing the shard of glass wedged into her left hoof due to the adrenaline rushing through her.

  • She helped the other one climb and settle or a good spot in the tree. The zombies tried to reach them, but they couldn't. Alsyian settled back into the tree branch, her tail draped over her lap. The canine gave a smile.
"You don't have to thank me. I know you would've done the same for me." She said, before reaching out her hand once again. This time it was for a handshake. "My name is Alsyian. Its nice to meet you Mere Stripes." Something had a glint to it, drawing Alsyains attention. Blood. It seeped out of her hoof, where glass was wedged. Her eyes quickly returned to Mere Stripes. She didn't seem to be in pin. Alsyian cleared her throat a little. She pointed to her own foot, unsure how else to react.

The Chimera Anthro looked at what she was pointing to, then looked to her own foot. Suddenly seeing it, pain rushed through her. "Gah-!" This time instead of fear, her face scrunched up in pain. "Stupid fucking- Ah!" She placed her fingers on the glass in an attempt to pull it out, but the slightest touch sent fire up her body. "Ow!" She gave a slight growl. "No wonder those fucking flesh eaters came after me!" Her eyes turned to Alsyian, silently asking her to pull it out for her. It hurt too much. Hopefully these bastards find something better than us! She tried to adjust herself from her sitting position, but the other hoof slid and sent some bark pieces flying. She sucked in air quickly. Hooves aren't good in trees!

  • Alsyian reached for the glass with shaky hands. Obvious was placed in her eyes. Mere Stripes fell forward a little and sent bark flying down on the still circling zombies. In an instant, the female had her hand placed on the Chimeras shoulders, steadying her. The hand jumped and pulled back quickly. "Sorry." The hybrid leaned forward, her bag catching on the tree. In sudden realization she pulled back, undid her bag, and opened it. There was an assortment of different things. Bandages, towels stained with blood (cleaned but wasn't able to get it fully out), and painkillers were just some of the things that she had. She rummaged through it, eventually pulling out stuff to sow it together and some painkillers. "Here. Take these and ill get that out."

She bit her tounge and nodded, carefully taking the bottle from Alsyian's paws and popped two into her own mouth, clenching her eyes and hands in pain. She feared that it would get infected, and judging by how far up her hoof it hurts, it's pretty deep inside of her. Reaching backwards, she dug her claws into the tree once more, trying to keep as still as possible when the disinfectant made contact with her hoof as the sharp object was pulled out. Mere Stripes wanted to thank her again, but seeing as the fox wolf had already dismissed her previous signs of gratitude, she held it in.

  • The hybrid grabbed a towel too. She laid it across her lap after moving her tail away. Carefully, she placed Mere Stripe's hoof in on the towel. Alsyian nodded before speaking. "I'm going to do it on the count of five." She readied herself, one hand barely touching the glass and the other one the bandages. "One." Deep breath. "Two." She grabbed the piece firmly. "Three." She yanked it out and tossed it below them. The needle was quick and in less than a minute she had sown it up and poured alcohol on it. She patted the leg before letting it drop. "Sorry. Hopefully the painkillers will do something."

She squealed in pain, but she knew without the painkillers, she'd have screamed in pain. After a minute of calming down has gone by, she looked at Alsyian with softer eyes, even at the fact three flesh eaters were reaching up for them. "How are we going to get down?" She asked, using one hand to brush away her purple hair that as falling into her face. Definitely going to be limping for a while...

  • The female wiped her hands on the towel and put it in a different pocket. "Here. Let me wrap it. Sorry." She grabbed the bandages again. She needed to focus. She held out her hand for her leg again. "I'm not sure. Hopefully, they'll leave soon."

She lifted her injured leg and placed it into the wolf/Fox's hands. The rough touch of the other furry was gentle... She never felt a gentle hand in so long. She quickly cleared her throat. "So you have Medicine... No weapons?" Her spiked tail swished and got caught in the bark. She actually didn't mind much.

  • The hybrid started to wrap it, careful to not ruin the stitches.
"So you have medicine... No weapons?" The other female asked. Asylian shook her head a little.
"No, not really. I have a single dagger and my bow broke in a fight with a gang member. What about you?" The dark furred anthro asked. The answer seemed pretty evident, but she figured that it would still be good to ask.

  • She shook her own head. "All I got are my claws, tail spikes, and horns... Not very useful when fighting flesh eaters." She smiled slightly. She's... Cute... Mere looked at her. "Why are you helping me? I mean, you could have just left me behind and gotten eaten. More rations for you, a chance to escape."

  • As the other talked, she nodded. Those weren't exactly very helpful against things that don't feel pain. She sighed and cut the wrapping, tucking in the end. "There, that should hold. For a while at least. And, to answer your question, its easier staying in a group. You can split up and search. More ground is covered. Its also more protection. Anything they have on them is also useful if they, you know... die." She explained, making it sound like saving her was just so she could have a better life. Out here, right now, there was no time to make friends. Well, not really anyway.

  • She lifted her head in a motion meaning she agreed. "Okay then. And thanks again. Anyways, looks like we're sticking together!" She giggled slightly. "It's kind of late... Maybe we should sleep, they might go away if there isn't any noise..."

  • Aslyian shook her head. "Its too dangerous to sleep up here. There are some buildings over there where we can though. I have an extra bed roll." The anthro quickly pulled her pants leg up a little and drew a dagger. One of the undead and lost interest and wandered away. "Hey, are you squeamish?"

    OOC:
Question for you. I don't want to go to far. How far is too far in terms of gore/violence?

  • //go as far as you want, I love gore!

Mere Stripes stared at the dagger. "N-No." She stumbled, though she really didn't know. She's never actually killed anything but food. She took her non injured leg and reared it up before using her strength to kick one of the flesh eaters over. Doing this made her fall from the tree, she landed on her paws and knees. Now the other zombie turned to her, it's back facing Alsyian.

  • Alsyian saw a pipe of sorts next to her.. friend. "Hey, grab that! You'll need it!" But she was already down. The zombie was down, but slowly picking itself up. The other one was watching, his face expressionless. He had lost one eye and the other looked pretty messed up. The hybrid didn't know how he saw her at all. Her fingers tightened around the dagger, hoping it was good enough to at least make them leave. To go and find easier prey. She slid down the tree, leaping at the least second. The dark furred anthro landed next to Mere Stripes. The zombie she had knocked down had gotten up, something obviously wrong. Oh, it couldn't be the rib, fully exposed now, could it? Blood seeped out, a dark, near black color. Its left hand snapped back so far that the skin had ripped, leaving open veins and stringy muscles exposed. "Her" zombie was coming forward now. He looked old. Not old age wise, but like, he had been dead for quite some time. His foot at an unnatural angle and gashes all over him. It was just then she noticed that the only remains of his right ear were strings. And boy what a difference a few feet can make. Here they stank. BAD. Alsyian grimaced and waited for it to take a couple more steps. I she went now, her reach would fall short. A moment passed and it came. The blade sank into its chest, around where the heart should be. As fast as she could, the anthro pulled the knife down, cutting open most of its front body. Blood sprayed and guts seeped out. The cold, bloody hands of the living corpse reached for Alsyian, and managed to grab her arm. Knee went up, arm came down. A sickening crunch echoed through the small space. The fingers released the arm. It hung there, like the muscles just snapped. Almost everything was out now. It took another step forward as Alsyian took another back. The zombie tripped over one if its intestines and fell to the ground. Another crunch. It didn't move this time. Worried, the female turned toward Mere Stripes, weapon readied.

    OOC:

Turns out that I have no idea how to write gore. Hope this was somewhat okay.

  • While Alsyian was busy with the other flesh eater, Mere Stripes hadn't grabbed onto the metal pole pipe thing she was told that was near her. By the time she grabbed the pipe, the zombie she had knocked down was already up. She gasped in pain as her injured hoof stepped wrong. Mere lifted the pipe and swung it. It smashed into the side of it's head, making a large indent. It was still alive so she smashed and smashed, and when it fell down limp, she kept smashing and smashing. A tear rolled down her face. Black blood splattering her shirt and her pink fur.

  • Alsyian watched as Mere Stripes smashed the undeads face in. But even after it was dead, she kept smashing. Alsyian reached out, saw the blood on her hands, and then retracted her touch. "Hey, I think that its dead." She whispered. Her eyes went to the buildings, picking out the one that she had "claimed".
