"Honestly, its probably not even a thing since in read it in a work of fiction." She started, getting out of the way that this idea wasn't based on much. " But, what I was thinking of was what if someone made a contract with you. Contracts are a rather powerful thing and if your under one with another then that can make the chains null. Since a contacts is a bit more powerful more set of 'chains' though not as long lasting. Along with if a condition in the contract says you are freed then you will be freed since contracts are supposedly able to grant anything."
Thinking back to the book where the man asked for wealth, high status, women and other things in exchange for his own soul and his future bloodline down from him to be slaves to the demon. As well as usually demons are said in the book to be the only ones to make such advanced contracts. If she tried to connect it to reality, the whole giving your soul is probably a way to get more souls for their power. But perhaps she was thinking to much, she did after all read this in the kid section.

"You know... that might actually work..." He clicks his fingers "I mean, last contract I was on ran out about 260 years ago, and that was pretty succussful"
-
If Lily had been drinking something, she probably would have spit it out."Wait, that is actually a thing?! Also, 260 years ago? What did you two contract and who was it?" Now that she knew it was a thing, she was curious of what a real world one was like.
" Also, who exactly would we get to try it out? I mean, I certainly have no wish to do it. Not that I am not interested, I just have nothing I want" Considering you also needed a high desire for something in order to make one. -
"It's a long story, some guy came here and found me... Said if I gave him everything he'd wanted then he'd let me out. So I gave him everything he wanted" he sighed, taking a breath "Then he went back on it and left me here to rot..." He shook his head "And actually, contracts don't require souls, only a sample of blood. The whole 'needing a soul' was once again another rumour spread by the Angels"
-
"Well spreading that kind of thing around would lower the amount of humans willing to go for the contract which they probably preferred, though I'm a bit surprised it is something as simple as blood." She guessed all the negative stories on demons she had read up till now still had a terms of effect on her as to how sever things get with them, though it was nice to know soul's aren't needed. "Also, he just backed out, that is a thing one can do? That is rather rude to the other person in the contract. Its really disgusting that he did that." Since she was true to her promises and commitments, she rather disliked those who only took without doing their side of something.
-
"Oh, I got my revenge on him though..." Zero chuckled darkly, then nods "But yes, it's as simple as getting the contract and having each person cut a finger and spill a couple of drops of blood onto it, and there you go"
-
Lily wondered what other things she had read were true and untrue in the world, but she guessed not to bother with it right then. '' Well, you should try it at some point then.'' Though she herself wasn't gonna go out and try anything like that as of yet. ''Would you like a sweet?'' She then asked grabbing a small bag of cookies.
-
*he shrugs "hmm, true..." He tilted his head at her question about sweets "Sweets... Are those that really sugary tasting food?" He raised an eyebrow "At least, I believe that was the old definition..."
-
''Yeah, that's exactly what they are.'' She replied as she took one out of the bag to show them. '' These ones are pretty good I find. Well perhaps it's because my mom is a pretty good cook.'' She always loved it when her mom made sweets.
-
*he nods, before realised- "Wait. If the barrier prevents things from entering or leaving... How were you able to put that fruit and water through?" He tilted his head
-
"Huh..their is a thing like that?" She looked at him a bit confused, then again she had been able to enter with ease from the start. So it wasn't unusual for her to not really think or know of it. "I don't really know, I just walked in with things I was carrying." she shrugged, saying things as they were. "Perhaps it has weakened or just lets certain things in and out?"
-
*He shrugs "Perhaps, we do not know... Even if these chains and limiters were to come off, I would still be stuck in here because of the holy barrier outside..."
-
"Oh gosh, really? Whoever put you here sure set up it up so it wold be difficult for you to get out" it sure was a interesting back up at least. Lily took a bite of a cookie, munching while in thought. Offering one to him before taking a glance to the path to the way out. " Its pretty amazing magic though, to last for such a long time" Then again, the magic stones probably aided like a battery.
-
*he nods, taking the cookie "Thank you..." And sat there munching on it, his wings occasionally flapping and stretching out as they tried to clean themselves and make sure they were fully useable.
"The person who left me here to rot..." Zero closed his eyes "Even though he died 100's of years ago... His barrier remains today..." -
She took another bite of her cookie, finding whoever did it must have been pretty powerful in this type of magic. Considering it was able to hold a demon here for this long. She turned her eyes to his wings when she noticed them move. Still rather awestruck by them, it was a new thing after all to see wings on something else other then a bird. "What do you think of the cookie?"
-
*he nods, a small smile on his face "I shall admit, it is a really nice cookie... congrats to whoever made it. I haven't tasted cooking this good for who knows how long..."
-
Lily smiled at that, she new her mother was a really good baker! " My mom made them, so I would hope so." She finished off her own cookie before putting the rest away in the big bag.
(Should the bandits attack the next door or in a few weeks?) -
*he nods "I will have to thank your mother, if I ever get the chance"
(up to you, I don't mind) -
Lily stood up while grabbing a blanket and brought it over to him, along with the jug of water an a smaller basket with some food off to the side. Deciding to leave these things here. "She would be rather happy to hear your thanks if you ever did." She said with a smile as she began gathering her things. " Well, I better get going now. If I miss dinner again It'll be a lot harder to get here without my friend following tomorow" she told him her reason.
-
*he nods "of course, I understand... Thank you for the company..." He smiled gently, closing his eyes
