Lily was surprised by his sudden actions, wondering what about angels could trigger him like this. So interesting. She was curious, wanted to know why. She leaned forward, now sitting cross legged as she stared at him. Watching as he calmed himself down some how, not that raging would do much while cuffed.
"Lie?" she tilted her head at him curiously. Like a little kitten staring at a stranger with interest. "What do you mean?" She wanted to know about him, and what he was talking about. It just seemed like he was someone who knew and was apart of a world she had no idea about.

"Everything... they've ever told you about... the Angels... it's all a lie..." He opened his eyes again, sighing heavily. With each word he spoke his voice got clearer and clearer until it was back to his original, British accent.
She's actually interested in the truth?! I'm impressed, too many people do believe that the Angels won fair and square... HAH! Wait until I unveil the truth to every mortal on this planet!
"The Angels... they never won the war fair and square..." -
"Really? Well its a war, I don't think anyone's gonna have much on mind other then to win anyway possible" It was odd though, she found, how he talked s if he had experienced the personally, first hand knowledge. Which even if they did exist, no way someone could live this long from then to speak of it. "What did they do?" that just made the information more interesting though.
She guessed all the stories on the Angels were rather glorified. With how they aided the people so much, creating miracles, saving lives, defeating everything with the holy power from the heavens and even offering a kind hand to the enemy. If they were labeled above beings, she would call bull on even the false stories.
"Also...you seem very....well. What happened for you to hate them so?" she then asked, tucking a piece of hair out of her face and behind her ear as she rested her head against the wall beside her. She was growing more curious, enough that even if she did learn the truth of what he was she probably would only grow more interested. Its not like being a demon would give her a reason to change her attitude, though it was more from actions and words in the present that would guide her thoughts. -
"kid, I want you to make a promise though..." He murmured, closing his eyes "That no one else hears of this, else they'll have my head on a stick..."
Well, this is it... My big moment! Sink or swim! Although, she still hasn't ran yet... What is this girl?! That's gonna be a question that I ask myself for a long time to come...
He opened his eyes again, his green eyes meeting her "Promise?" -
"Well, I am rather good at keeping secrets." Considering she always was seeking information, it was a given some she seeked would be better kept quiet. Though she didn't understand how bad this could be for him to get killed if she told, she knew enough to keep quiet at least. She didn't wish for someone she was so curious about to get killed after all.
" I promise, I'd rather slit my own throat then go back on it" she was serious. She was never one to go back on a promise anyway, since they were rather important. Especially one with someones life on the line. Though she guessed it was up to him whether to tell her or not, trust. Though did he trust her enough to tell her even though they haven't known each other long? She wondered. -
*He nods slightly "Right... Although could you do me a favour? The leather straps melted to my shoulder blades... Thing you could rip it off?"
She would rather slit her own throat then go back on it...? Hmm, could be interesting to see how far I can take this... Of course I'll tell her the full story, I mean, she actually bothered to come in here and find me... Eesh, last guy who did that ran crying, wonder where he is now, actually...
Zero sighed, looking at the chains as well "Eventually these will have to come off, but soon enough..." He looked back up to her, waiting -
"Rip the leather? Well okay" she stood up, then just now began to wonder why the leather ended up like that in the first place. Well no matter, it'll probably be more comfortable to get it off. Although, she was unsure of the best way to do it, the best way to not cause to much pain.
It was also nice that his voice seemed to be getting along well. She rather enjoyed listening to it, well it was better then when she usually just listened to her own voice while exploring.
Lily placed her hand's on the leather, finding the best place to get a hold of it and got to getting it off. It took her a little bit of a moment since she was worried of hurting him but successfully got it off. "Ouch, how long was that there to..." she paused a moment as she fell quiet, starring. -
Where his shoulder blades should of been were instead two, large gaping holes. Zero looked behind him "You might wanna move, I haven't stretched these bad boys in a while..." He turned slightly so that there was no chance of her getting hit by them as two, large leathery wings extended from the holes in his shoulder blades, each wing about 2.2 metres long and appeared to be made of a black, leather like substance. From the back of his waist his tail popped out, unlike normal demons instead of having a three-tipped prong, he had a large, single spear like shape with a dark liquid dripping off the tip.
-
"Uh...okay." She didn't questioned, just moved to the other side of the cave and leaned against the wall as she kept him in sight. What is he talking about. She didn't have to wonder long when the wings suddenly appeared, she was frozen still from the surprise, shock of it. So that is why their were holes. She shook her head before walking back over.
She was still pretty surprised, confused, curious and unsure on something. But overall she had a rather awe filled expression. Now she was not a fearless person, its just her fears were a tad different then most of the people around her. She was a bit of an odd ball sometime though, she had to admit.
Lily genuinely liked his wings, didn't exactly understand a lot but it clicked after a moment of walking over and examining, recalling the pictures from the story books. " Are you...." she fell quiet already knowing the answer as she looked over at his face. Well, a lot of things made sense now at least.
She looked back over to the wings and glanced at the tail. "So...can you like, fly?" she wanted to asked to touch them, out of her curiosity to know what the wings would feel like. But wondered if that would be too weird. As to the reason she wasn't scared, well she had no reason to be. Since he hadn't threatened her or done her any wrong that she could think of. She rather liked him as well, though that could be her intense interest speaking. "They were in your back..." she scrunched her nose as she imagined it, "that had to be pretty uncomfortable." -
"Yea... I'm a demon" Zero shrugged slightly, saying it so causally. Then nods, looking at his wings "Normally they're just folded in and sit on my back, but the Angels thought that stripping me of my abilities just wasn't enough... So they put my wings in me and left me locked down here for about... 1000 years, give or take a few"
He sighed, closing his eyes "Mind you, I'm still trapped down here, unable to leave because of the light magic in play..." He sits down, once again cross-legged "Thanks for that, by the way. And now, as I was saying about the Angels... Your stories portray them as heavenly beings that helped make this worlds peace, fought the forces of evil, yadda yadda yadda, am I right?" -
She winced when he said 1000 years. Oh my god, I would probably barely last two days...She had a kind of respect for him keeping sane and alive all those years. She took a seat on the floor once again, though found her eyes drawn to his wings. So it was about 60/40 the ratio of her looking at his wings and at his eyes. "That long, oh my god.."
The angels did this to him? That was rather a cruel thing, that alone made her question the truth a bit more. " Yep" she hadn't heard a bad story yet other then the tales of the fallen angels which showed negative sides. Then again, all she knew were the children stories. -
"The Angels believed themselves to be superior in every way imaginable, and so they would prove that, raging war on every species they deemed to be inferior. Then the mortals arrived, they may not of been as advanced in combat and such, but they had technology, something the Angels wanted on their path to perfection... So they sighed a treaty staying the two races would never war unless one declared it upon the other. However that was when we Demons came into existence, and the netherworld born. We collected the souls over the course of the many battles and wars the Angels started and caused. However, the Angels wanted our ability to collect souls as well, so started attacking the underworld to prove they were the best." He paused, taking a breath then looking at her "Any questions so far?"
-
"Hmm...." She thought for a moment. "No, go on." she couldn't think of any questions on this yet. Though it was amazing to hear of such information, nothing she felt she would ever learn of in real life. Also, from what she was hearing so far. It seemed that the Angels were rather power hungry. Which if you compare to the tales, is a big opposite of what humans imagined them to be.
-
"And this is where the tales start..." He sighed, closing his eyes "So, to make up for our dwindling numbers, we went to town with low populations and kill them all to try and replenish our own. However the Angels claimed that this was a declaration of war against humans, and so the war began between humans, Angels and Demons... There were those in the middle, such as fallen angels and risen demons, but for countless years this war waged on, until the legendary hero arrived. With sword in hand he killed every monster in a single swipe and eventually came face to face with Lucificer himself, the demon king. That battle was the longest, however both of them lost their lives... And we monsters were forced back to the netherworld. Those of us who refused to leave were left chained up in the mortal realm via holy magic" he gestured to himself "which is why I can't leave"
-
"Woah..." she was rather amazed by all this. She was rather happy to be able to know of this. She hoped another big war between all three races didn't happen again though, by the sounds of things a lot of lives get lost, even more so then the wars humans pit against each other. "Well, that explains why you are bound here. So those are holy?" She glanced at the chains. Oddly enough, she felt 'holy chains' was familiar some how, perhaps she read it somewhere but she knew of nothing thus far that could release him. If her friend were here, they would probably be dead against it after learning this. Since this guy probably wanted a revenge of some sort, but no friend of hers was there and she did not think much on anything except the want to learn.
"Do you think their is a way out there to break them?" She then asked curiously, even if he couldn't do it on his own. Their had to be something out there in the world to do, after all the holy magic was strong. But the cuffs it was infuse into were after all just ordinary cuffs before the combination. So if they got rid of the magic some how, or some how over powered it or found the holy magics opposite then maybe. -
"I've no honest clue, I mean... I've tried breaking these things for years, but... not a single clue... Do you have a church in your village? I might have a method, but it's pretty dangerous..."
-
"A church? No, those things are kinda really 'fancy' and placed in bigger cities. Their are a few older ones in some smaller village's but not ours." She gave a small sigh at this slump. Moving to bring her knees in to hug them as she fell into thought. "A possible method that is dangerous? Well docent hurt to speak of it, so what is it?" She was curious to what he could have come up as a maybe possibility.
-
"Some demons such as I have the ability to briefly absorb magic from others, and I'm aware that everyone who works in church's may as well live on that holy magic. So in exchange for his live, I would of borrowed some of his holy power, which might of allowed me to break these chains"
-
"I see why you said might now..." it didn't seem like much of a possibility either for her. As well as taking a life, most likely unwilling since what church person wants to hep a demon, was a but much just for freedom. She moved to stand up and walked over to her things, grabbing a few berries and munched in thought.
"Hey what about..." she wasn't sure since she had only read it in fictional books, but it was worth a mention. The whole thing that floated around where making contracts and what not, human greed yadda yadda. She was usually more into the books for new things. Things she had already seen before did not hold much interest unless she had liked it. "Something like a....ah never mind.."even if it was a thing, the price and all that. Who's willing to do that? Its not like she could tell anyone either. -
"Hmm?" He raise an eyebrow as he watched her "Do you have a possible solution?" He tilted his head slightly "whatever it is can't be any worse than mine, so go right ahead."
