Secrets Within The Cave (PAFP)

    She was worried, she was very worried on how he would turn out. Perhaps having taken the time to bring him back up in health, she wasn't sure, but she cared for his well being even if he was of another race far superior to the humans.

    "Th-Thanks..." He muttered, sweat slipping down the side of his face as the glowing figure landed...


    "Priority 1. Zero has been located. Activating stage 2. Termination!"


    Eventually the glow faded away to reveal... An attractive young girl of about 18, with bright blue eyes and Crimson hair, although that was where the human side ended. The entirety of the left side of her face and her entire jaw was encased in a metal mask-looking contraption, with facial details finely scratched into it and her ear pointed, like an elf. Half of her hair was also missing and her left eye was an extremely dark shade of blue. Upon her back were two large, mechanical wings that seemed to hiss as they moved around, gentle smoke billowing from the backs of them. Her chest, left arm and leg were also mechanical and, like her face, had details finely scratched onto them. Upon her waist there was a sheath with the handle of a large sword barely poking out.


    "C-Cynthia..." Zero muttered, sadness in his eyes "It's been a while..."

    Lily observed after getting a bit away as to not get in the middle if the fight suddenly started. She wished she could do more then just stand by and watch. But all she could do was make sure the villagers got to safety and watch from afar. The sight of the angel was very interesting, far different then the pictures she saw in the books. She was like a robotic nightmarish version, though still held that beauty to her. It was rather interesting, Lily wished she could paint as quick as those painters taken to sparing matches.

    "Zero. I have come to bring you to justice!"


    "Cynthia..." Zero muttered, closing his eyes "I... I don't want to..."


    "Fight me. That is your only option!"


    "..." Zero opened his eyes, sighing gently

    Lily watched nervously, was their a way to make them not fight? She was human so it was not like standing between them would do anything. She wasn't sure if their contract would do much either, unless... She recalled asking for her village to be saved, fighting with an angel may put it in danger so perhaps it would enhance his powers if it was for her village.

    "Cynthia-"


    "Enough. I shall not take no for an answer!" She pointed at Zero, eyes narrowing.


    "What happened to you...? Since you were rebuilt, you've been different... I don't like it..."

    Lily, who was still crouched in a bush, continued to watch. Her curiosity kept her from moving for now. Though it would have been safer for her if she went into hiding far away with the rest of the village.

    "Cynthia, I refuse to fight! So stop trying to make me!"


    "Zero, this is destiny. You can not defy it, you must die by my hand!"


    *Zero's wings spread widely as he narrowed his eyes "Forget destiny! Our path is forged by our own choices and actions!"

    "I shall offer you a single chance. Die by my hand, or face the wrath of the almighty!" Cynthia clenched her fist, her human eye narrowing angrily while the robot eye continued to hold a blank expression.


    "Almighty alsmichty, what was he ever done but bicker and war?" Zero shook his eyes, an annoyed look on his face "Now get outta here Cynth, I ain't fighting ya today!"


    "I see. You choose to face the wrath of the almighty instead. So be it."


    "You really are a daddy's child, aren't you? Sucking up to him all the time, being his 'special little angel'..."


    *Cynthia spread her wings out, hissing "Take that back!" She sped forward, striking Zero hard in the chest.

    *Zero raised his arms to stop the blow, successfully blocking it but creating a shockwave around him before making a sword appear in his hand, slashing at her.


    *Cynthia's arm shot out, the mechanical hand grasping the blade and pushing back on it, intending to cut Zero with his own blade "You shall face the wrath of the almighty!"


    *Gritting his teeth, Zero brought his knee up and struck her in the stomach, launching the mechanical angel into the air.
