"I promise Riley." She replied, meeting their gaze.

"I was about fifteen when I realized I wasn't really a boy. It didn't feel right and I could keep calling myself a boy. But I couldn't call myself a girl either, that felt worse in my eyes, so I realized I'm neither. I'm non binary. However when I told my parents, they kicked me out. They wanted a boy and me not being one didn't work for them. My brother didn't agree with their thoughts and ran away with me"

She frowns even more and walked to them, cupping their cheeks. "Male, female, or neither. It doesn't matter to me... that's who you are and I couldn't ask for more. I thought my parents were bad enough but screw those that won't accept what a wonderful person you are."

Riley reached out and hugged her. "Thank you Zoe. I'm glad I have three people that accept me" they said smiling at her

She smiles, returning their hug before standing on her toes to kiss their cheek (what? She's a short woman in comparison to most people). "What can I say? You're the sweetest person I know. I feel so relaxed around you."

They smiled at the small kiss on their cheek and pulled her closer to kiss them

A heavy blush covered her cheeks as she found herself returning the unexpected kiss.

They held it for a moment before pulling away smiling. "I haven't felt like that in three years"

"You're the first for me." She whispered, blushing.

"You've never kissed before?"

"Yeah... I wasn't exactly attracting anyone."

"Well you've attracted me Zoe" they smiled before kissing her again

She kisses him back, smiling softly. "And you've attracted me."

"Would you want to join the Grease Monkeys?" he asked

"If it means being able to stay with you, yes." She cooed, looking up at him.

"Then you're in" they exclaimed

She beams at him. "Thank you... but will the others accept me?"
