  • AIN'T IT A FINE LIFE — Ben — BloodClan — He/him
He almost wanted to go back home.

The tall feline was making his way through an alley, hearing twolegs shout something from inside a building nearby. He had just crossed a big thunderpath and was still shaking... Just a little. His large ears were swiveling back and forth, his nose following a scent trail he had picked up the other day. He was off to join the Clans! It had excited the male at first; Ben had always wanted to embark on an adventure but had never gotten the courage to. He'd been told stories of the Clans, and when he caught a whiff of one early yesterday morning when he had been let out, he had taken his chance and left. Sure, his twolegs had been kind, but... He didn't want to grow fat and lazy. He wanted to go on a nice, not dangerous adventure.

"Hello? I'm l-looking for a, um, Clan?" Ben called out as he padded further down the alley. The scent was strong here; perhaps some of the Clan cats lived here? Overall, he was pretty ignorant about the warrior Clans. "Is this, um, WindClan?"

  • A muscular, yet elegant, figure slunk through the shadows upon hearing the small, shivering voice of a lone tom. Before even her ivory pelt could be made out through the dark of the alley, her honey-sweet purr echoed. "You've found a clan, certainly, but not WindClan, dear. This is BloodClan territory." Stepping out into the light, Freya's relaxed stance fell into a seated position, ice-cold eyes focused on Ben. She gave a tiny hum of thought, eye-balling him as though contemplating his worth as she awaited his undoubtedly anxious reaction to her prior information.

  • ★ ★ ★ -- It was a rather... hilarious situation, having a tom walk into their border and inquiring if this was WindClan territory. Did this look like WindClan territory? He was surrounded by trash and jungle concrete on every side; hardly an ideal place to get much fresh, natural wind. You'd expect for WindClan to be found in a wide, rolling moor, a plane, or heck, even the mountains where the breeze ran uninhabited.

Taboa was quick to slip in after Freya, her nimble body clear with confidence and carrying a practiced grace. Her amber eyes raked over the form of the clearly lost tom. Wanted to join WindClan, huh?

"You're clearly in the wrong place. If this is not what you're looking for, I suggest you turn around and leave." No sugarcoated words. Taboa was frank and blunt.

  • The younger she-cat had been out for a stroll nearby when she heard and unfamiliar voice call out, followed by the muffled sounds of two of her fellow BloodClanners. Curious as to what could be going down, she stalked over, however was not that stealthy due to her shiny-stoned collar that gleamed with even the littlest amount of light. She came up behind the tom, in case he tried to run, since she wasn't sure why he was here. Patch was much smaller than him, but she had no problems following orders if either her mother or Freya signaled for her to attack, chase, or anything really. She studied the newcomer with yellow eyes that were void of emotion, a skill she was quite talented at, as she awaited what would happen.

  • {VINIVELLA --} Vinivella hadn't been far behind Freya. She had been spending a lot of time around the Elite lately, as she was currently her closest friend in BloodClan. That meant as she approached the new cat, so did she, When he mentioned WindClan, her ears pricked up. She didn't know much about the forest clans, but she knew the names of them, and from there determined he wanted to go join the cats in the moor. There are ways we could make him stay here. Vinivella concluded, stepping up to stand just behind Freya. From behind the lilac point, she mewed, "Why go all that way when you could just stay here? BloodClan seems like a place you would fit in--and most of us are more accepting of outsiders than those clan cats." Alright, half of that was true. BloodClan needed these outsiders in order to live on. The clan cats, from the sounds of it, would rather have pureblooded clan cats or even cats from other clans in their clan. BloodClan would definitely take in Ben much easier than WindClan probably would. The fact he would fit in? Vinny didn't know. However, she didn't mention it and instead shot Taboa and Freya a glance, half hoping they would agree with her. They seemed very accepting of her when she first joined earlier this moon. Why shouldn't they accept this cat as easily?

  • AIN'T IT A FINE LIFE — Ben — BloodClan — He/him
Ben halted as a smooth voice came purring at him, a body soon to follow. She seemed nice enough, or she was really good at acting. Either way, Ben at least had more information now. BloodClan? That didn't sound too nice, but at least he had found a Clan. Perhaps having one this close to home meant he didn't have to disappear from his twolegs completely.

A few more cats appeared from the various alleys and buildings surrounding him, giving Ben the creeps, but he was desperate enough to stand his ground. For now.

"Alright... Um, I'm not looking exactly for WindClan, that was just the only Clan name I knew..." Ben trailed off before shaking his head and continuing. "I was just looking for a Clan to join. Any Clan, really. My name's Ben, I, ah, just left my twolegs to find a Clan. And I see I have now found one." The one that told him to leave seemed very blunt, but Ben persisted. "This is what I'm looking for and I would love to stay in, um, BloodClan, if you'll have me." He mentally berated himself for asking to join when he knew zero about the Clan, but decided he would learn sooner or later. He paused, eyes wide, watching the Clanners to see how they would react. At least the latter female had seemed open to him joining.

//Sorry if this is kind of rushed/weird it's late

  • ★ ★ ★ -- Taboa was somewhat surprised. This stranger had seemed to have been looking for a very specific clan, shouldn't he have gone off to find it?
Apparently not. He was searching for any clan to stay, really, and had only one name to go by. Why he came to the city though, was still a mystery. It didn't matter though; he seemed okay with joining BloodClan and that was fine by Taboa.
"BloodClan will take in almost anybody." She spoke, tail flickering through the air. "What's your name?"

// god the lack of muse

  • AIN'T IT A FINE LIFE — Ben — BloodClan — He/him
Ben brightened a little as the blunt one welcomed him, more or less, to BloodClan. At least they were accepting. Ben had been considering what he would do if asked to complete trials or show what he could offer to the Clans. He wasn't really special. He knew some plant types and could catch a mouse on occasion, but he wasn't a warrior. BloodClan sounded like a Clan that would take warriors, but apparently names weren't everything here.

"I'm Ben," He told the one female, then paused. She hadn't asked anything else. Should he say more? Ask her name? He blinked at her, awaiting what she would do next.

  • ★ ★ ★ -- // incredibly sorry for the late reply!

Taboa nodded, amber eyes slipping over the male. "I am Taboa, leader of BloodClan." She introduced herself. The calico never found formalities too necessary. But then again, if she didn't introduce herself, how would anyone know who she was and vice versa?
"I could give you a tour of the hotel, if necessary." She spoke, feathery tail oscillating in the air. "Though, there are things I have to speak to you about regarding your... membership." The pause wasn't entirely necessary, though Taboa couldn't spare a little drama to her touch could she?

"Upon joining BloodClan, you will be an inferior, allowing the full members of BloodClan to treat you as they wish. To become a full member, you need an intiate battle, which you don't necessarily have to win." Another pause, Taboa's amber eyes flickering. "You just need to show skill, and you can choose to fight our members." A gesture to the felines beside her. "Or I can pit you up against something completely random."

  • the tom let out a scoff as he was late to the little party. he wants to join us? well, this should be fun. " it would be far more proving, if you fought something random on the spot." the white pelted tom spoke as he entered the clearing, his ice blue eyes piercing the gaze of ben.

  • // FYI this was super rushed, going to dinner right now!

She sat down into a more relaxed position as the tom admitted to wanting to join. Her whiskers twitched, wondering if watching this cat fight would be more amusing that watching her own awful techniques. Patch wouldn't blame him if the tom picked her to fight, if he decided to spar on the spot. She was probably the smallest and most inexperienced, thus making the perfect target. However, in Patch's mind, she would pick someone else to fight; even if she lost, she would learn more from losing a fight with someone more powerful than easily beating a wimp. Her gaze never really travelled far from the newcomer, as she judged him and tried to pinpoint any weak spots for future reference, in case they had to train with them. Perhaps they know of a few techniques we are not familiar with....

  • Royal approached cautiously. She was kind of bored and hadn't been around for a while so that would probably explain it. She trotted over, icy blue eyes drifting over Ben softly. Moving up to the flank of her sister, Patch. Hey, who is this guy? She said softly, but still in a strong voice. Her fur was sleek and quite dull. Her skin clung tightly to her ribs and were visible when she breathed in. While being small, she was quite muscular even if she didn't show it.

  • AIN'T IT A FINE LIFE — Ben — BloodClan — He/him
Taboa was a very interesting name. Familiar, too. Ben wondered if he had had a family member with that name in the past. However, Taboa kept talking and so the tom didn't dwell on it for long.

At the request of the tour, Ben nodded eagerly. "That would be great," He said with a smile, glad someone could show him around. And the leader, no less. Perhaps he could ask about her family. The initiation battle sounded a little scary; Ben hadn't ever fought anyone before more than a play fight or a hiss here and there. Who would be fight? What skills could he show off? "When do I have to complete this, um, battle?" He asked, tipping his head to the side.

Others were arriving, some quiet, some speaking out like the one requesting him to fight something on the spot. Ben didn't know if he was ready for that, and instead simply gazed at Taboa.
