  • (Omg, is that his sister?)

Lily couldn't help but feel a bit bashful when he said 'sweetheart'. Even if it was just joking around. She was rather mad at herself for still liking him. "I can't help it, I like sweet things" She leaned forward in her seat as she continued to watch him quietly. She listened faintly to the sounds on the radio, unfazed by the news since it had been happening a lot recently. She noticed how he seemed to pay attention to it though, as if the news had something to do with him. While she doubted it was him who had killed the girl, he seemed to shocked by it to have done it.

"Whats wrong, do you know that person?" she asked curiously, though softly in case it was a sensitive topic like it was someone close to him. She had no idea though really. She also began to wonder if she would be able to leave tomorow. Not wishing to get in too much trouble with her brother, even more so with how things were.

She lightly tapped her fingers against the table, staring at him curiously. She was still upset with him, but for now would try to be like water and go with the flow.

  • Maybe....))))

Caydian's focus was on the news only. He just stared at it, disbelief and grief in his eyes. Another one killed but this one he knew. It was terrifying. He was frozen in place, making no effort to move or speak.

"See? Now she is dead! You should've killed the girl!" The voice shouted.

The voice shook him out of his state and he turned to turn off the radio, stepping on the glass as he did so. Pain pieced up his foot but he didn't care. He felt too stunned. He turned off the radio and gave a small noise of grief.

He knew the person. He was close to the person. Very close. Blood close.

It was her sister they had found. His young thirteen year old sister. Although, they hadn't announced the girl's name he knew. The description matched her perfectly.

At last he looked up and saw Lily. He forgot she was there. It took his brain a long time to register why her mouth was moving. She was saying something. It took him even longer to make out what she said and when he did he gave a slow sad nod. He indeed knew her. He glanced back down and lifted up his foot. There was blood dripping onto the floor from it,"I think I'm bleeding."

  • (omg! I guessed right lol)

Lily sat up straighter as she watched him, seeing more clearly his intense emotions for this issue. The sound of her chair scrapping as it went back words as she stood filled the room. She gave a glance at the glass on the floor, just now remembering how he had suddenly dropped it. She recalled her own feeling's for her friend, this person must be pretty close to him for him to have such a intense reaction.

She walked over, careful of where her feet went as she headed over to where he was. She went towards a drawer and grabbed a cloth, wetting it before guiding him over to a chair and had him sit down on it, making sure he was seated before kneeling down and picking up his foot. She gave a close an examination, remaining quiet, relying on his shock from the radio so that he wouldn't refuse her.

She softly wiped at the blood with the close, cleaning the foot in search of the chunks lodged inside it. Then she went to get some tweezers before taking each piece out of his foot. She put the glass shards in a small glass dish, making sure to pick up the others on the floor as well.

Once all the glass was gone she wiped at his foot once again before grabbing an old rag she had found, since she couldn't find bandages, and wrapped it around his foot tightly, so that it wouldn't fall off easily. She didn't make a sound the entire time, just quietly putting the things she had grabbed away before grabbing the extra cup still on the counter and put it on the table beside him.

Even if she was still upset with him, she didn't want to see him go through this grief alone. Especially if he had liked that person enough to be this way about it. She kept her eyes on him, returning to her seat from before and tucked herself in. Shifting the vase of wilting flowers a bit to make it more center before resting her head in her hands.

  • Caydian made a small noise of protest when she stood up and helped him out of the mess he had created. She didn't have to do this. He opened his mouth to say something when he saw her dab a cloth on his foot. He winced and tried to jerk his foot back and failed. Instead, he clenched his jaw and dug his hands into the table.

"Your weak!" The voice hissed as she cleaned up his mess.

He shook his head,"Go away." He muttered,"I've had enough of you."

He relaxed when Lily was all finished and sighed,"Thanks." He told her, setting down his foot and turning to face her. His eyes eyed the face of flowers, his eyes darkening when he saw it again.

His sister gave them to him as soon as she noticed his behavior. She told him to be strong and it will end. She didn't know what was bothering him but she knew something was wrong. He glanced at the flowers before sighing and bringing them away from the table. He limped slightly as he did so. Instead he sat them in a dark corner. He couldn't stand to look at them anymore.

"This is all my fault. I'm sorry, Katie." He told the flowers and he just stood and watched them. He didn't know what to do now. He crossed his arms over his chest and at last sat back down beside Lily,

His foot hurt but he found it necessary for him to do that. The flowers didn't deserve to live if his sister couldn't. He brought one leg close to him on the chair and rested his cheek against it, his back turned to Lily and his eyes clouded,"I can't believe she's really gone."

  • Lily wasn't sure what he had muttered earlier, though perhaps it was something to himself. She wondered who this girl was, curious though was unsure if it would be okay to ask. So instead she watched as he suddenly grabbed the vase and put it in the far corner, something wrong with those flowers?

She watched as he soon came back, though even more confuse then ever now. Pressing her lips together in thought as she moved and leaned back in her chair, quietly listening to him. "Who...was it?" she asked in a soft tone with a tilt of her head. Could this have anything to do with whoever those people he was taking about earlier? It seemed they would be the cause to any misfortune or big events for him.

She really wanted to find out who they were, if they acted under one boss or were a large organization of some sort. They were most likely a big part in a lot of recent missing and dead files. If only she had the resources, then maybe. She didn't really think much o the danger, she didn't care much for it anymore after all. Though that could be the need to have them get what they deserve rising.

  • Caydian sighed, thinking about his sister. Already she rested in his memory. She was dead now and no doubt would there be questions with no answers. Everyone would be grieving for such a bright person.

Everyone knew his sister. She was so nice, caring, and energetic. She was a familiar popular face that got along with everybody. She was known for her kindness and helping others out. There was multiple news stories on her, making her the star of this town but now the star was dead. The star burned out.

"Katie," Caydian whispered his answer to Lily's question,"My thirteen year old sister."

He could barely speak about it. Emotion filled his voice when he did. That's all he could say. All he could manage. He stressfully ran a hand through his hair. His back stayed facing away from her. He couldn't stand to look at her. He was in this to keep his family safe but now his sister was announced dead.

He squeezed his eyes shut before checking the time,"In about an hour you can leave, Lily. That's when you will be safe but when you do you can not mention a word about this. Got that? She's already gone, I don't want to..." He gulped and trailed off, unable to finish.

  • That made sense then, if it was is sister then that surely must be horrible. But why would someone kill her? After some facebook stal- er research. His sister didn't seem like one to get any hate, then the only option could be whoever they were. Why though? He was doing as told so why did they do that, did he go back against a order?

''I'm..so sorry'' She didn't care too much about leaving too soon now, not when it was a bit risky to leave him alone. Who knows if those people would drop by, or if he took his own life or something over it. It may be best to stay, that is what she felt like doing anyway.

"Its not like I have any concrete evidence so they wouldn't believe me if I told them" She did try before all this but they brushed her off, this town police force was a rather sad one. Hopefully none were apart of whoever 'they' were. Though she wondered if she should call her brother, he was a bit over the top when it came to her. "I know you are sad, but after your grief. What if we found a way to destroy whatever 'they' are?"

  • Sad? Caydian was more than just sad. He was....just too many emotions at once. He couldn't believe this had happened. His sister was dead and it was all his fault. It had to be. If he hadn't walked into that alley blindly then none of this would have happened. His sister would still be soundly asleep and safe in her own bed back home, instead of now not even having a life. She was gone and it was all his fault.

"You see if you had killed that one, she wouldn't be dead." The voice stated matter-of- factly.

Caydian clenched his fists. He had enough of that dumb voice mocking every decision he made. He wished he could get rid of it but he couldn't. The only way that was...

"Do you think I should kill myself?" Caydian spoke his question aloud. It was originally meant for the voice inside his head. He covered his mouth with his hands as he realized that he had spoken aloud. He didn't mean to. It just happened. Now Lily...he shook his head. Too late now. She already heard it.

  • She was ataken aback when he suddenly voiced in question of committing suicide. Before quickly covering his mouth with his hands, she felt like that question wasn't for her. Although she was the only one here. "Woah, woah. Okay, maybe the situation is really bad but suicide is not the answer. I mean, you still have you other family member to protect right?" She wasn't sure why he wanted to, or why she didn't tell him she didn't care. Perhaps it was because she did care, in some way or another.

  • Caydian looked at her, taking aback by her reaction. He didn't know she cared that much for him. He knew he wasn't comfortable with her knowing that he had thought about it but her reaction just...He shook his head and ran a hand through his hair,"I knww, I know." He sighed,"I'm just very stressed out about this whole situation and it's late. I'm just not thinking logically, am I?" He asked, forcing a small but sad smile at her. He couldn't take back speaking his thought question aloud so he just had to go along with it.

  • "Okay, well perhaps you should get some rest" Some times sleep was a good way to calm oneself down. Though she then added, "Besides if your gonna die I would rather be it by my hands. I mean, revenge you know?" She wasn't serious, she couldn't even hurt the smallest thing as a bug that stung her without crying.

She got up from her seat, a hand in her pocket fingering the earring. She would probably never be able to let go of such a thing, a piece of Cloe always with her. She headed over to the fridge and searched though it, grabbing a small fruit before shutting it and took a bite. "I'm gonna be upstairs in that gaming room, gotta burn time some how"

  • Caydian shook his head. He couldn't sleep. He did not sleep well but he certainly couldn't sleep now. Too much had happened. He couldn't stand to shut his eyes now. All he would get would be terrifying nightmares,"You 're not going to kill me, Lily." He told her softly and quietly,"And I'm not gonna kill myself either."

He watched as she went to the fridge and took some fruit. He smiled. She could help herself all she wanted to his supplies he didn't care. He listened to what she said and stood up,"I'll join you." He told her. Maybe playing some games would do him some good.

  • "Hmm...alright. Bt don't cry if you lose" She aid with a small, cocky grin. Lily was a rather optimistic girl, which is probably why she was acting so normally and cheerfully despite the facts. If she wasn't this way, their was no way she would be as cheerful as she was. Especially with her rather poor walking skills. Which of course resurfaced as she tripped halfway up the stairs, shook it off and continued all the way to the game room.

She headed over to the shelve of games and picked on out that seemed rather fun. Then waited as she looked to the gap of the open door. She thought back to what he said earlier, she guessed it was rather obvious she was harmless. Even if she did have any sort of strength or power, which she didn't.

  • "In your dreams," Caydian rolled his eyes. He could beat anybody at any time. Lilly didn't have a chance against him. He headed up the stairs and immediately grabbed Lily when she almost fell. He laughed softly,"You okay?" He grinned and watched. She seemed fine. He let go of her and continued up the stairs.

He let her pick out the game she wanted. He wasn't picky. Maybe a game would relax him. He shut the door and glanced at her,"That one?"

  • Lily took a seat on a small chair in front of the tv after putting a game in. "Yeah, it looks interesting" She grabbed a remote. " Are you okay with this game?" she asked as she looked over. Her sure did have quite a few things in here, from electronic to a foosball table. Seemed to have been collected over time.

  • Caydian had older games, some even date back to the 70's. However ,he also had recent like the game they were about to play now. All this was huge collection his parents bought for him. He didn't mess with it as much as he did back then but he still played with it some. He looked at her and grabbed a remote. He pulled up at chair and sat down,"I'm fine with whatever."

  • I have an even better idea, one that will scare the crap out of Caydian.)))

Caydian had played video games for a very logn time with Lily. When it was safe for her to go home, he allowed her, knowing it was safe. It was morning about the time she went home.

He scratched the back of his head as he stumbled down into the kitchen. He was really tired after all that screen time, but he had work. He had a job to do and it was a good one. The one that didn't involve murders, or anything like that.

"Don't you wish it did though?" The voice was back and taunting him like usual.

He shook his head and just got to cooking breakfast when the doorbell rang. He frowned, slightly, a flash a fear showing in his eyes. He moved to answer the door but as soon as he saw who it was, his heart skipped a beat.

"The police have come to see what a good job you did with Cloe!" The voice screamed with laughter.

He frowned as he stumbled for words,"May I-May I help you officers?" He tried to say as politely as he could. He didn't want to seem like the guilty type. He still remembered the very first rule.

"Now you are going to get caught! I can't wait to see this!" The voice taunted.
