  • A crush, a disappearance, luck and misfortune. A twisted relationship.

    - friend has recently gone missing. Unable to sit patient and wait for the police to figure it out, she/he goes in search of clues himself/herself. Though comes to disbelief when the clues found point to someone she/he can't believe could be involved. Especially since she/he has a huge crush on that person. In a urge to try and see, hopeful he is innocent, she/he breaks into his home while he is away in search of possible clues. Which leads to he/she finding something shocking in a hidden space in the house. Though before she/he can escape with the evidence the crush comes home and catches her/him. What events will unfold?

Your character is the killer/crush of my character. I would prefer the character to be that which makes sense to have avoided being suspected/ caught by the police for multiple crimes. Your character will be male, you can decide the gender of my character, who is the one who breaks into your characters house.

  • Alright. This sounds very interesting so I'll do it.

I would like for your character to be female, since mine will be male.

Also, what is your limit on paragraphs/sentences?

  • Okay cool. I was just wondering, in case the limit was too short or too long for me.

Shall we do Character Descriptions or just jump in?

  • Okay, awesome(reason so quick is because I had this written up earlier lol)

Lily was unsure at first of her decision to break into the home of her crush. But it seemed necessary since the police weren't getting anywhere with the case of her missing best friend Cloe.

Cloe had been missing for over two weeks now, and Lily was growing impatient with worry. She had done some snooping and research and her conclusion was rather....unexpected. Which was that her crush, (y/c) ,of a few years now was a suspect. Everything pointed to him. She did not want to believe it, but she needed to make sure.

Lily made sure he had left his home before heading over to it soon after. She has picked at the lock on the back door to get inside, who would have thought that what she used to open her own house when she forgot or lost the key would work in something like this. It did take a handful of time though. She was sure she had at least two hours before his return though at least.

She felt a mix of fear and excitement at entering his home, looking around curiously as she shut the door quietly behind her. Two steps inside and she found herself tripping over nothing and landing with a 'thump' on the floor.

"Eh? Ow, ow, ow, ow!" she rubbed at her head as she stood back up. She was a rather clumsy person so this tended to happen a lot. She was glad she had decided to do this while he was gone.

She started off searching from up to down, unable to help hover in some rooms like his bedroom(mostly because she would fawn a bit over photos and the fact of just being where her crush had been). She hated how creepy she was sneaking around someones house, even with her reasons.

She hadn't found anything yet and only discovered this place was rather neat and plain looking. It reminded her of the picture's they would use on house selling sites. She was beginning to doubt what she had suspected.

She gave a small sigh as she headed to the last place she had yet to check. No longer expecting to find anything big, well in till she saw a familiar looking earring on the floor by a tall shelf.

She bent down and picked it up, examining the blue gemmed earring. The color was silver, though the sharp point had a bit of something that reminded her of rust, except a bit more red.

Why was this here? It reminded her of the one's her friend wore very often. She froze a moment at this new clue, swallowing a lump growing in her throat as she looks up at the tall shelf it was near by.

She thought back to some old mystery books she had read and clutched the earring in a fist before going to a side of the dresser and pushed with as much strength as she could.

She was fairly strong enough to move it quite a bit, since she did practice gymnastics despite her habit of tripping.

She was questioning the point of doing this herself till she saw the hidden door behind it with a lock, which had the key still inside it.

She was a bit a taken aback by the hidden door but didn't waste to much time as she went to unlock and open it, the door being rather loud of squeaking due to lack of oiling the hinges.

On the other side of the door was stair's going down into darkness. '''Oh, so this is where the entrance to the basement is." But why cover it?

She shook her head, a bit unsure but gathered up some bravery and headed down the concrete steps. She used the light on her phone to guide her way so she wouldn't fall down them.

Once at the bottom she moved the light around to look around the fairly large room. Crinkling her noise at a rather unpleasant smell, but it was a basement that seemed unused so she brushed it off.

  • Wait, in the second paragraph you said Sam. Is that my character's name?)))

  • Oh okay. Thanks. I was a tad bit confused there. XD)))

Caydian had gotten bored from his little visit to the bar. There was just too many girls there. Most guys enjoyed them quite much but he didn't. Not now, anyway. His reasons for it were his secrets, his demons. Everyone had demons but it seemed like he was the only one acting upon them unless...the pressure of them couldn't get to the others.

There were others like him out in the world. He just knew it. For some reason, he still felt guilty. He knew this but he still felt the guilt. Not even being drunk helped anymore with it. There were too many girls at bar. Each girl just reminded him of what he did. What he continued to do each night.

He hurriedly grabbed his keys and left. He wasn't drunk yet. He knew that much. He sped back to his house. He needed to get away from this. Each night his guilt got worse and the bar wasn't helping. Not at all. It was making everything worse.

His guilt was becoming stronger with each murder. He knew murderers did not feel guilty but for some reason he did. He felt so guilty that he was afraid. He was afraid of others finding out what he had done. The thing he did randomly once a week. The thing that caused him to be in such a mess to begin with but yet he didn't have a choice.

He had to kill those girls. He was forced to. It was the life of his family against theirs. He couldn't see his soon-to-be brother killed, or even his annoying brat of a sister. That was the worse thought. He was killing to protect his family. They made him.

It all started a month ago. One day he was walking alone in a dark alley and they took him. They grabbed him and held a knife to his throat. Back then, he wasn't afraid to die-even now he wasn't afraid-but then he recognized their faces. They knew his too. They knew everything so they dropped the knife and threatened him by the only thing he cared for. His family. He couldn't let them hurt the ones he loved so he didn't have a choice.

He took a deep breath as he arrived back to his house and shut the car door. He ran a hand through his light brown hair. His forest green eyes studied the entrance of his basement for a moment. He hated to go in there, even though there was no dead body. There was nothing in there but the smell but there was no other way. The basement was close to the drive while the upstairs door was on the other side of the house.

He took another deep breath before walking toward the door. He opened it and stepped inside. He turned on the light and gagged at the smell. He squeezed his eyes shut but when he opened them he jumped back and hit his head on the door.

He thought it was the police or worse. His heart was beating in his chest as he looked at the girl. He soon made her out and recognized her. His eyes widened more as he stared and gasped,"Lily! W-What are you doing here?"

  • (Yeah, sorry bout that lol)

Lily hadn't excepted him to return home so soon, so she couldn't help but let out a small shout of surprise when the lights suddenly turned on. Her heart sped up as she slowly turned away from the wall she had almost walked into before freezing when it was suddenly bright. Of course, their stood Caydian with a look of surprise in his own eyes.

Well....this was rather a unfortunate event.
She wasn't sure she could do anything to not make this awkward. She broke into his house and looked through his things after all, it didn't seem like much of a good idea to say her reason why while she was still suspicious of him. Though saying that she broke in and looked around because she liked him...well...whatever she did she sure wasn't gonna improve her image or situation.

"Um....hi...Caydian..." she awkwardly gave a small wave of her hand while putting away her phone, no need for the light on it anymore. She avoided eye contact, looking at anything but him as she searched for the other exit she had come in through. "....I....can explain." She looked over at him, feeling a bit panicked as her head raced to figure a way so she wouldn't get arrested for breaking in. Plus, this was even worse if her suspicion was true. Along with getting caught by her crush in his house...well no matter how many times she thought on it, it was still horrible.

"I got lost?" she felt like hitting herself for such a hopeful stupid excuse. Though, it wasn't a lie that she got lost easily. It was just using that as her bases for why she was in here was a bit...

She exhaled a sigh, guessing it would be best to voice her suspicions. Since he probably thought of her as a creepy stalker now anyway. "Okay...well you see. I actually intentionally came in here because I am searching for clues to see if you were involved in my friend Cloe's disappearance..." she said that rather quickly, in a faint mumble as she turned her eyes to the floor, fiddling her thumbs nervously. " But obviously, theirs no way you could have something to do with it. It was rather stupid of me to suspect you and break in like this.." she lied a bit, she still suspected him.

"I'll....uh just be going...I uh hope your willing to forgive me for this..." She bit her bottom lip, fidgeting nervously. She wasn't sure to ask about the earring, instead she hid it. If she could get out she could try and get it DNA tested to see if it really was her friends.

  • Caydian watched her. He was very very scared and confused. There couldn't be a way Lily knew what happened but he was still afraid. He didn't want to get caught and the basement smelling like death was a huge clue.

He couldn't get caught either. If he got caught he would watch his family die violently before he was killed himself. It wasn't worth it. The true murderers out there did not put up with any failures whatsoever. It was either his family or them. Images of what will happen if he got caught burned in his mind.

Tears threatened to fall as he clenched his fists. He could not get caught. He pushed the tears back and calmed down as Lily stumbled for words. She seemed too innocently shocked to be the one after him. He took a couple of calming breaths and looked back at her.

He listened to what she said and narrowed his eyes. Now he certainly could not believe her story. Lost people did not break into houses just to sneak around in a basement smelling like death. Fear rushed through him. It was starting to sound like she was onto him.

"Play it cool, Caydian. You need to make her certain it wasn't you..." A voice whispered in his head and he listened to it.

He barely heard the rest of her story but that was it. She had just proven his suspicion correct. He calmly took a step toward her,"Lily, it wasn't me who killed her." He lied as smoothly as he could, although his hands were shaking. He stuffed them into his pockets before she could see, or at least he hoped.

His gaze remained calm, soft and caring. He hoped it masked the guilt that covered them whenever nobody was watching. He reached out and took her hand. Just as he did so he noticed she was fingering something. He frowned,"What's this?" He opened up her hand and spotted the earring. He stiffened and froze for a bit.

"Move! Speak! Your family are going to burn in hell if you don't!" The voice hissed in his ear, forcing him back to life.

He looked down and studied the earring,"It's Cloe's." He admitted, rolling it in his hands. Looking at it guilt and sadness shown in his eyes. He didn't know if she could see it or not but he just had to hope not,"But I didn't kill her."

He sighed and gave the earring back. His cheeks were becoming bright red from embarrassment. He was embarrassed. He was sure he was going to get caught, then it will all be over. He didn't focus on this though, he focused on thinking about more embarrassing things before he said what he did next,"She-um-um-was here for a night." He cleared his throat awkwardly,"She spent a night with me."

  • Lily wasn't paying much attention to anything other then she needed to be careful and that he had moved closer. She would have probably over joyed if she weren't to worried about the situation. She gathered the courage to look at him, trying to see if she could spot any lies. Wait....what he just said, the reports are that she is missing not dead. They haven't found the body yet. Lily was hoping her friend was alive, which is why she had gone searching. It was hard to say if he either knew for a fact she was dead, or he was one of the people suspecting she was dead.

She froze a bit when she saw his eyes go to her hands. She had just realized how she had been holding it, unknowingly playing with it while trying to keep it hidden. She held her breath as he took it from her, examining it before returning it after giving her confirmation that it was her friend Cloe's. Along with a repeat, that he did not kill her.

She looked at the earring in her hand before pocketing it beside her phone, tempted to hold onto it but thought better of it. Her breathing had calmed a bit with her heart, but she felt a wave of panic, though she did not show it, run through her. Spend the night? Sure, if it were anyone else what he said would make sense. But Lily was the closest person to Cloe. Lily knew her friend wouldn't spend the night here because for one, she was supposed to spend the night at Lily's house after going home to grab her things. As well as the fact Cloe knew of her crush, so if she was ever at his house she would have called Lily to come over, not sleep over and not even give a text about it. Heck her friend would even have taken pictures for Lily if any of this were the case. But spending the night here without a word then disappearing it didn't make sense.

The rational side of Lily's brain was telling her to just agree and leave. But she couldn't stop herself from being stupid. "Shes....missing.....their is no reports of her being dead." She looked into his eyes, her throat feeling dry as her voice cracked a bit. "She knew I had a crush on you...so she would never spend a night here without giving any word." Her friend rather had a crush on Lily's cousin. She really hadn't wanted to believe he had something to do with this, let alone something of this level. She knew, she knew and their was no changing her mind. Instead of bursting into tears like she wanted, she gave him one last look before bolting towards the door.

  • Caydian panicked. His lie had failed. He knew the moment he spoke it. She wasn't going to believe him. He was going to get caught.

"No!" He screamed and grabbed her before she could escape. His heart was beating out of his chest. He had barely any time to register what she had said before she tried to bolt out the door. His eyes were wide, full of fear and guilt.

"Kill her! Kill her before she betrays you!" The voice purred in his ear, like it was happy with her being dead.

Caydian didn't kill Lily. His hand rested on the gun tucked in the back of his waistband but he didn't shoot. He couldn't. She was an innocent girl and she certainly had no idea how dangerous it was out there.

He tightened his grip on her wrist but he kept in gentle enough not to hurt her. Lily was oblivious to everything. He couldn't let her go. They might catch her and then...

He shook his head. He secretly liked the girl. It hurt him to kill her friend, more importantly lie about it. He cared deeply about the girl. Tears formed in his eyes again,"Lily..."

He sniffed. His guilt was too much. It was too strong. He couldn't fight it along with the power that Lily had on him. He wasn't sure if she realized how much she meant to him but that didn't matter now.

"Come back up. Let me explain." He whispered closely to her ear, his voice soft and gentle,"I'll explain everything. The truth. I swear upon the life of my family to speak nothing false but you might not like what you like. I-I just can't let you go." He shook his head,"Not like this."

"No! Don't confess! You know what will happen!" The voice screamed angrily.

Caydian jumped but ignored it. He took a step back and slowly let go of her wrist, putting his hands up in surrender,"Lily, I'm not going to hurt you." He drew a sharp breath as he fought against the voice in his head that wanted her dead,"You have a choice here. Run out that door and never know the truth, or know the truth and get all the answers."

  • Lily stumbled a bit as the start of her run had come to a sudden halt. Caused by him grabbing her before she could get away. She at least attempted to pull her wrist away but she couldn't break free, so she looked over at him instead. She was scared, worried that he was going to get rid of he to keep her quiet. It hurt more though as she had liked him for so long.

As he eyes landed on him, she was a taken by surprise to see the tears forming in his eyes. The way he said her name almost broke her. Like she had just encountered a wounded puppy and had turned to ignore it. No matter how much she wanted to hate him, she couldn't get rid of feelings she had for so long just like that. She hated herself for that, hated how it hurt her to see him like this.

She tensed when he whispered to her, taking a moment to register the words. Go on, give him a chance. She wanted to know, needed to know the reason why. Why her friend's life had to be taken, as well as a reason why not to get revenge. Why not to go now and tell the police everything. Another part of her didn't want anything but to hide away and cry, everything was just to much for her.

She sucked in a breath, calming her thoughts as she took a few steps back to where she had been before. She avoided looking at him, she just couldn't do it. She would hear him out, though it wasn't like he would just let her go even if she chose the other option. It was better just to know.

  • Caydian's eyes followed every movement she made. His whole body was stiff. He was so afraid,"Don't go please! If you do my family will die!" He blurted out and then covered his mouth with his hands. He didn't want to influence her decision.

"Coward! You should have killed her!" The voice sneered.

He held his ground, watching her. He sighed with relief when she came back to where she was before. He removed his hands from his mouth,"Thank you so much." He breathed and then coughed at the smell of death. His eyes clouded back with guilt again,"Come with me." He muttered darkly as he turned to head up the stairs that lead to his bedroom.

"You fool! She's just going to betray you!" The voice spoke again but he ignored it.

When he reached the top, he paused,"You've been searching my room." He commented with a sigh before continuing.

Once up he sat on the bed and pulled the gun out of his pocket. It just occurred to him to get rid of it before she got scared again. He dropped it and kicked it away before leaning against the wall,"It's the only thing I have on me. You are safe."

He spoke. He loved Lily, he truly did. He didn't want her afraid of him but either way she was going to be scared. The best thing to do would be to tell her the truth. If he didn't, well he would still get caught. This was the only hope he had left.

"Hope is for idiots!" The voice taunted him again and he groaned, pressing his fingers to his temples and rubbing them.

"I'm so sorry for Cloe," He spoke,"Very, very sorry. I-I had no choice. I was forced to." He gulped,"You can't leave now. It's when theydo their recruiting. You can't end up like me. It's worse than dying."

  • Lily was surprised to hear that his family was on the line, their are other people? Were they the ones who pushed him to do such horrible things. It still didn't seem right to her though. She kept quiet, following after him with her eyes to the floor.

She scratched the back of her head when she saw him notice her traces of snooping in his room. Still a bit embarrassed by it. Though felt more just in her actions since she found proof of Cloe having been here...possibly even in her last moment, it made her sick at the thought.

She stood as far as she could from him in the room, eyeing the gun when he pulled it out. She sucked in a breath, looking over at him wondering what he was going to do with it. Only to give out a relieved sigh when he moved it away from him. He had a gun and he hadn't killed her as soon as she figured it out, that was rather fortunate for her. Although she wasn't sure what was stopping him.

She didn't want to talk to him, but hearing him apologize did sooth her a bit. But was still upset, even if he was forced to she was rather cross about it. Cloe was her best friend after all, if she really was gone. Lily wasn't sure what would happen to her, she was a rather cheerful girl but the state she would fall to without her best friend was a rather distant one. She wasn't even sure where she could pay her respects and say goodbye. She wanted whoever these people were, to be punished. But she had no idea who they were, but if she had the chance to investigate..maybe.

"So....." it took a lot to get her voice back, even then it was quiet and broken. " You killed her because your family's lives are in these peoples hands?"She stared at him with cold eyes, but continued to stay as she was. She could understand the need to protect those close to you, but to take away from other people. The people close to them, if she was in the situation she would rather give her own life. Since she couldn't bare to see the faces of her family members if they knew the reason why they were still breathing was stacked on other people's life.

She was not aware though of her own family circumstances, like why they were gone so much or why her brother was so strict with her. As well as although when she puts her mind to it she can discover great things, she still had a rather gullible and innocent side of her. So if she had been there without searching for clues, she would not have been none the wiser on the situation of her friend's killer.

Lily figured he would prefer her not to go, so she decided she would stay. It maybe the safer option at least, but she still felt cold towards him as well as that faint like. Since she still couldn't help but get lost in those eyes. " Alright.."

  • Caydian decided not to tell more until she wrapped her brain around it. He wasn't nearly close to getting to his whole story but he could see she needed to think with each little bit he spoke. Besides, he wanted to warn. They were after those they knew to do their sickly job for them. Lily could easily fit in that category.

"You should just let her get caught. Then she will understand the situation better." The voice whispered hungrily, like it needed another girl stuck in this awful situation.

Caydian shook his head. By the time the voice finished speaking, Lily had wrapped her head around it. He was glad she seemed to understand. It proved the voice wrong but he still needed to explain more.

"It happened about a month ago. I was walking home because my car quit, along with my phone. I had to go through an alley to arrive here. It was the simplest way back. I heard about the missing and declared dead on the news but I didn't think it would happen. I was halfway through the alley when they attacked me. They had on dark clothes and masks. I couldn't see them so I couldn't fight back. Soon they had me pinned against the wall with a knife to my throat. But then...But then one said my name. I recognized the voice. They knew me. I was all prepared to die, because death doesn't scare me but at least that one knew me. He knew the knife wouldn't scare me so he went with the things that would."

Caydian gulped and took a deep breath, his eyes becoming distant as he did so,"They removed the knife and punched me again. They threatened to kill my family and everything I cared for if I did not help them. I had no choice. I can't afford to see my family dead. They told me that I couldn't get caught either. If I got caught then I would be tortured, along with my family. These guys...are dangerous. You can not leave at this time. This time was when they got me, and no doubt will they be searching and recruiting."

He finished this part. She needed to know how it happened. He was going to confess everything, this one seemed more important. He couldn't afford her walking out that door without knowing why, especially if he had done the other confessing which was toward who he killed.

He stood up and looked at her. It was the middle of the night and here he was confessing to everything. He needed to be careful. He tilted his head for a moment as he studied her,"You look like you need coffee."

He stood up and started to head out of his room, flipping on the other lights in his house. There was no point in leaving them off anymore. Besides a guest was here. He couldn't let her know how he hid in the dark from himself.

He headed down the hallway and into the kitchen. He started to fix coffee but not just for Lily. For himself too. He was going to need it. he leaned back on the counter and watched her. He hadn't been in his bedroom ever since he got recruited. He still did not like it there. He felt more relaxed in the kitchen, knowing that no girl came in there.

  • His situation seemed rather bad, a threat to his own and families lives. As well as these people, why haven't they been caught yet? Even when using pawns their had to be some clues, then again the police still were unsure oh her friends case.

Coffee? She guessed she was rather tired about all this. Too much in one day really, she hadn't enough to care anymore.

She he followed him silently, knowing the house rather well due to her earlier snooping. To make up for breaking in, which is why she continued to linger. Plus it was getting dark, she would no doubt get lost.

She took a seat at the kitchen table. Watching him quietly as he made the coffee. ''Lots of sugar...'' she said after a moment of thought, making sure to watch carefully while he made it.

  • Caydian heard what she said and gave a small smile and chuckle,"Sure thing, sweetheart." He joked, glancing at her with humor in his eyes.

He stood up and checked on the coffee. It was nearly done. He wasn't too anxious for it to be done though. It would just mean he would have to be put to the torture of more confession.

"She's gonna hate you!" The voice sneered again, making Caydian bite his lip in annoyance.

He didn't mention anything about the voice. If he did, he would be known as a psycho killer and that would be ten times worse. He wasn't insane. He did have a voice in his head and it was about as evil as the Devil himself. He just couldn't tell anybody about it. He didn't want to seem insane.

He sighed and ran a hand through his hair. He wondered if anybody had noticed his change in behavior. He was way different than what he was a month ago. This whole situation was torture. He hated his job and he felt guilty for it. The guilt had changed him. He was more of a troubled person now, instead of a carefree, happy guy he used to be. Usually at bars he flirted with every single girl but now he couldn't stand to even be around any of them.

He was just about to fix the coffee when the radio came on. It announced of another murder found at the bar he was just at. His eyes widened as he turned, dropping the coffee cup. It shattered into pieces. Shards of glass stabbed into his bare foot but he was too stunned.

"See? Another murder. Now it's your turn to strike. Kill the girl! Kill her now!" The voice hissed.

He gripped onto the counter top and stared in the direction of the radio as it when into details about a girl that was stabbed just outside the bar. It was just a little bit after the time he arrived here. It was one confirmed death of a young girl.

He turned to face Liy, stress and horror in his eyes. The girl's description was so clear. He knew the girl. It scared him,"She's dead. No."
