    OUR HISTORY

    Their origin is unknown, but their lore runs strong and thick in their blood and lives.

    Its said that Cliff Clan came from creatures called Griffins, part cat and part bird. Others say that they originated from cats who were blessed by the gods to soar above the rest, which makes Cliff Clan believe they're better than everyone else and should be praised.

    These cats all have wings. Kits are born wingless and grow them over time. About the age of 7 moons old is when their flight feathers come in. Leader's only have 2 lives.


    TERRITORY AND CAMP

    Cliff Clan's territory really has no boundaries. Like most birds, they have a limit to how far they're willing to stray from camp, which they call The Nest. Their camp is inside caves and holes on the side of a cliff, this little [ /<- ] diagram is an example of where The Nest is.

    RULES

    -All cats have something involving the sky or a bird in their name

    -FF rules apply

    -Mini Powerplaying is allowed

    -In certain occasions a player will gain full powerplaying capabilities

    -Every character needs at least ONE FLAW

    -If you plan on killing a character, pm me FIRST. Do NOT post that you're character will be dying because then there won't be a true reaction to the loss of this said character.

    -Minimum 5 sentences!!

    -No more than 10 characters per person, no less than 2

    -Stick to the plot and the rules

    -Vialations to these rules will either result in your: HP being stripped away, a temporary ban from the thread, or a permanent ban

    -Inactivity should be posted before absence. After ONE WEEK missing with no notification of inactivity will result in your character being deleted

    Above the mountians, above the river, above the feilds the clan mainly hunts in, flew a gray and white... Bird? The underside to their wings were speckled, but either wing was a different colour, one dark gray whilst the other white. This bird like creature is known as Cloudy Ear, she is the leader of a group called Cliff Clan, the only neighboring clan to AncientClan. Cloudy Ear was scanning the sky for anything off.

    A ginger tabby spread open his wings, of which was ginger at the base and grew darker to brown at the tips. His brown eyes looked to his side and looked at the other few members of the clan. The caves they lived in the side of the cliff could hold five cats, sleeping side by side like bats. Cloudy Ear refused to let the warriors spread out among the hundreds of holes believing the closer they sleep together, the safer everyone. He rolled his eyes, glad that he was last one in the den the night prior. This means he doesn't have to step over everyone to get out. On the ledge of the entrance, he pushed himself out, gliding down to a large root protruding out from the cliff.

    The young Molly lept about her cave she shared with Hail and Star. She stumbled and landed in a flurry of feathers. She had tripped over one of them.

    Owl Breeze
    Owl Breeze was wandering aimlessly, he didn't really have much to do at the moment, so he was bored. He decided to take flight, hoping to get some exercise and to finally find something to do. Just as he took off he noticed the worthless pile of dung, Gale Fang, flying overhead. She seemed to be going somewhere... He sneakily followed from behind, hoping to find what she was going after.

    Gale Fang
    Gale Fang was miserable, well, more miserable than usual. She'd had nightmares all night, the worst of them was when it was herself who attacked and clawed her eye out. She hated that dream, it was a common nightmare for her and it made everyday after having it worse. Trying to clear her head, she decided to go to her place. The place she had lost her eye. She didn't think of it as bad place, she merely thought of the place as a witness to a terrible crime. It was somewhat of a memorial to her loss in her eyes, well, eye. Flying there to relax and think in peace, she lands and gets into the same position she was in when the attacker had clawed her eye out.

    Owl Breeze
    Owl was surprised to find Gale resting so peacefully, AND in the place where she had suffered such trauma. He waited for a bit, not sure what to do, until he noticed her face contort into fear and agony, was... was she having nightmares? Why was she having nightmares? Was it the place, did it bring back bad memories? Wait.... How did she fall asleep so fast anyways?! Bursting from the bushes, he decided to confront the crying weakling, "WAKE UP!" He smirked as she leaped into the air, her one eye wide with shock.

    Gale Fang
    Gale had fallen asleep rather quickly, and had soon drifted into another nightmare, this one slightly different from the others. Instead of watching herself tear her own eye out, she was the attacker this time. She pounced on the sleeping Gale, and ripped into her face almost immediately. She felt every rip and tear she inflicted onto the other Gale, and she wondered why she was doing this to herself. She was then torn from the nightmare by, "WAKE UP!" She was terrified, had someone come to rip her only eye to pieces?! Her fear was quickly quelled when she saw that it was only the jerk Owl Breeze, but anger took it's place, "What?! What are you doing here?! Why must you always do this to me?!"

    He had an evil smile on his face when he responded, "I had to wake your lazy butt, you were sleeping! I bet you weren't completing the orders the deputy gave you,"

    Uggh, this slimy rat filled her with disgust and fury, "What are you talking about? I've already gone hunting! You just can't understand me with that dung in your ears!"

    This visibly upset him, "What?! Dung in my ears? How dare you insinuate that! I'll have you know I'm the cleanest cat in the clan!"

    They continued to argue, causing a large amount of noise. Why they probably scared off all the prey of the surrounding area.


    /My gods, I've no idea what compelled me to do such a long post, dreadfully sorry!

    Fire Wing
    Fire Wing was flying over the land looking for any prey around and making sure no intruders where on there territory. She then heard two cats yelling and flew over to the noise wondering what was going on. She then landed on a branch near Gale Fang and Owl Breeze and sighed a bit,"Enough you two are scaring off all the prey with your yelling!"

    Thunder Cloud
    Thunder Cloud had just come back from a hunting trip and was sitting in camp cleaning himself when he heard movement in the apprentices den. He walked over to see if his apprentice was up yet and smiled when he saw Breeze up,"Hello Breeze how are you today?"

    From up above, the leader could see her few clanmates flying about. One in particular caught her attention; Fire Wing. The russet molly flew off in a hurry. This peaked the gray Molly's interest so she decided to follow. When the sight of Gale Fang and Owl Breeze arguing, she instantly knew what was up. She held onto the tree she was on much like a Squirrel, keeping her mismatched wings folded tightly against her. Watching.

    The ginger tom saw nothing of interest so he decided to lay on the root, carefully pressing his rear end against the stone in which they live in. This was where the orange tom was usually always. From here he could see Aly upcoming danger to The Nest.

    She lifted one of her dark gray wings to let her eyes rest upon the mentor she was assigned to standing on the ledge entrance to the apprentice's part of The Nest. "Oh hello!" She wiggled about until her pure white legs propped herself up with her tiny wings. "I'm finally seven moons! D-Do you think you can take me to the forest to learn to fly?!" Excitement was in her voice. At birth, a kitten is given a mentor. This was the most exciting day of her life.

    Gale Fang
    "What do you mean I'm such a terrible warrior?! I done more already than you ever will!" Her rage was reaching the breaking point, and she was about to seriously hurt him.

    "You've obviously done nothing with your life, you just sleep and laze about all day!"

    "RaaaAAH!" She leaped at him, clawing his surprised face, although not deeply. While she wasn't too accurate in her blind(heh) rage, she was still seriously trying to hurt him.

    Owl Breeze
    He jumped back, taken by surprise. His beautiful, beautiful face..... HOW DARE SHE?! He charged at her, intent on making her pay dearly for harming his gorgeous face! He rammed right into her, knocking the breath out of her and he immediately set on ripping her to shreds, but she was able to dodge in the nick of time, but not before he scratched her side, drawing some blood.

    Hail lay beside his sister in the apprentice's nest, his fur brushing against hers slightly for comfort. He wasn't sure whether he should find his mentor or not and instead decided to relax beside his sister with a calm sigh. The day was rather nice, his sister was asleep and he could let his mind wonder to various subjects. His position in the clan, his clanmates, and his duties all fluttered about in his head as he lay there.

    Star, meanwhile, was fast asleep before waking to the sound of another apprentice. Crap... Her mentor was probably waiting for her. She stood quickly, surprising her brother and making him roll onto his side in surprise and raced from the den to search for her mentor with worried eyes. "Thunder Cloud!" She cried as she finally found him and slowed her pace. At that point she noticed Breeze and flushed with embarrassment. In her haste she had interrupted them... Star dipped her head with a quiet, "Sorry..." and stood silent.

    //Totally forgot the notifications are wonky. Sorry about that! wait is Thunder Cloud Star's mentor or am I confused? I might be. ^^;

    Fire Wing
    Fire Wing sighed a bit then jumped onto Owl Breeze so he couldn't hurt Gale Fang anymore,"You two need to stop fighting right now!"

    Thunder Cloud
    Thunder Cloud smiled at the apprentices quietly,"Well Breeze since your mentor is out at the moment I would be happy to have you join me and Star though since I figured she would want to practice flying as well."

    Owl Breeze
    Owl Breeze was taken off guard by Fire Wing pinning him down, "What the... HEY! Get off me you brute!" He crawled out from under him. "It's not my fault! This fiend attacked me first! Yell at her!" He was fuming, he just about freaking rip her other eye out! He paced for a short bit trying to contain himself in the other warrior's presence.

    Gale Fang
    Gale Fang smirked, it pleased her to see Owl taken down a notch. He believed he was so high and mighty, and to be taken down and told what to do by another warrior would definitely hurt his pride. She knew that Fire was talking about her too, but she didn't care, it was Owl who started the fight after all.

    Fire Wing
    Fire Wing growled a bit at Owl Breeze,"I know Owl Breeze I am going to talk to Gale Fang as well but you need to cool off right now." she then turned to Gale Fang and sighed a bit,"Gale Fang please stop picking fights with Owl Breeze and both of you do something usefull for the clan!"

    Gale Fang
    She rolled her eye, "This fool was the one fighting me, as if I could just stand there while he insulted my pride," She slinked away, upset that Owl didn't get more of a punishment. She took flight, fleeing to a small cave near the Nest so that she could cool off on her own.

    Owl Breeze
    Owl didn't know what he did wrong, he'd simply told her that she needed to something other than laze about. He was being reasonable, and she was insulting him! He simply responded to each of her insults as calmly as possible, and when he said that she needed to do something with her life, she attacked him! "What did I do wrong? I'm in the right here! I tell her she needs to stop sleeping on the job, and she attacks me!"

    Fire Wing
    Fire Wing sighed a bit looking back at Owl Breeze,"Owl Breeze last I checked though im still the deputy so it is my job to make sure cats are doing there job not yours. Also you two have always been fighting each other and you need to cut it out becuse you ended up scaring off a lot of prey during your fight."

    Owl Breeze
    Owl Breeze grumbled, "Oh yeah... I'll be sure to defend myself from her attacks quietly.Whatever, fine, Fire Wing, I'll go hunting to make up for it..." While Owl hated Gale the most, that didn't mean he couldn't dislike others. He particularly didn't like Fire Wing, mostly because he believed that he should've been Deputy, Owl Breeze was the most skilled warrior after all.

    Fire Wing
    Fire Wing nodded and sighed,"Very well Owl Breeze but please try to get along with her for the sake of everybody in the clan." she knew Owl Breeze didn't like her but she was exprinced and skilled as well which was why she was the deputy.

    The leader smiled seeing as her deputy has everything under control. When everyone was out of sight, she lept down from her tree, spreading open her wings. I wonder if giving my daughter to Owl Breeze to mentor was a good idea....
    blazing sky
    Watched as Gale Fang started to fly towards the Nest, but off to the side.. He took in the scent of the wind before taking off and flew up to the nursery. "Snowy Wolf?"

    She smiled. "Owl Breeze isn't here. I can smell he's not here." She flapped her wings, but she didn't fly up, simply stirring up the feathers on the ground.

    Owl Breeze
    Owl Breeze slowly looked around the area, wondering if Fire Wing was right about his fight scaring off all the prey. He prowled around the place, trying to find a glimpse of a single being, but he wasn't seeing anything. Sighing, he took flight to find a nearby area that, hopefully, had prey. He landed in a small clearing and started his searching, again looking for even the smallest sign. Even though he hated Gale and had problems with a lot of the cats in the clan, he never gave less than his best. In EVERYTHING he did he gave it his all.

    Star nodded her head, ready to head out with her fellow apprentice and mentor. She could already feel the breeze under wings, and the clouds playing with her fur. The female was about ready to bounce out of the apprentice's nest with how much she began to shuffle.
