  • Ryan hopped out of the boat behind Lucy/Sel, staring at the battlefield before him. He was no stranger to the trash talk before a brawl, but he was a bit more used to that being what started it, or at least there being some reason for it. This was just... senseless.

Not that Ryan had any problems getting involved with senseless violence. This would be a good way to get out some of his pent up frustration, and who knows, it might even impress Lucy.

  • Soaked in blood from the Nile, the cougar prowled into battle, searching for an opponent worthy of fighting her. She was prepared to do her worst to these pathetic lumps of fish scum and enjoy herself while she was at it. Scanning the bloodied battlefield, the vampire expected she could get a decent meal out of this too, as long as their blood didn't taste too marshy.

  • Alright, enough talk. While it had been fun making fun of these brainless shit stains, it was time for the real fun to begin. The caracal scanned the battlefield, before laying eyes on the Marina as she arrived on the scene. With a smirk Calypso raced toward the Bloodclanner at full speed, making her intentions blatantly fucking clear. Once she got close enough she tensed as if she was about to leap at the cougar, but instead she darted around her foe and slashed at her side.

Bright eyes locked onto the first encroacher onto the boat. ura ura, sel has changed, hasn't she? The beast let a smile creep onto her maw. Blue eyes sparkling with mirth- looking nothing like a clan member who just got raided. Selfdistruction, what an old character. At least somewhat. Obscuro herself was quite old herself."Ah, Sel! Calla sends her regards!" Dark eyes crinkled in mirth as the beast slowly arose from where she had settled. She wouldn't be doing much battling. Rather chatting seemed more to be on her agenda, though who she darted might not be up for it. Might even be a little scatter brained. So many people here after all.

Obscuro rather wasn't one to get overshadowed so quickly. Instead the beast would probably do something drastic, something to call attention to herself. come get me! She wanted to cry, but that was too eager. She didn't want everyone to recognize her. She didn't want to be seen as an ex-blood clanner. That would bring up too much. Instead the wolf lunged, azure flames spilling from her mouth almost like a gas, leaping towards selfdistruction hungrily. The flame was telling, as it was hotter than normal fire. Blue fire always was.

  • //notifs turned off on this thread rip

Sel's gaze flicked through the RiverClanners, letting everyone banter while she assessed the situation, cool, calm, collected. That is, until her gaze landed on Obscuro. The first one to torture her. But that wasn't why rage filled her face, why rage consumed her. "You BITCH!" She shrieked, lunging at W. Harbringer-Ecuador and trying to meet her midway and duck around the flames, though her pelt did get singed and her skin likely burned. The feline slashed out with her sword, not caring where it hit or how badly it hurt, so long as Obscuro's blood was splilled. Everything felt hot, and she wasn't sure if it was anger for her apparently dead girlfriend or the flames causing it. "What did you do to her?"

There was a part of Obscuro that was relieved to see the other react so passionately, falling into the beast's predictions. It soothed her- it told her that the other still cared for the blind little spy. However- that flash of relieve was easily masked as the beast offered only a crazed laugh as the other lunged. Obscuro back out. The fire disappearing until she called upon it again. "Ura ura, still a little hurt over calla's betrayal. Are we?" Obscuro's words were meant to taught- they always. She loved twisted someone into a rageful- beast. it wasn't interesting- not as much as breaking but rather the thrill of battle kept her from turning away and simply walking.

Really, years of training in the ways of the sword- Obscuro was a shinigami. Even if she didn't hold her sword anymore the beast still knew how to disarm- to battle against one. At least someone who trained with a sword. If she fell into that category. Obscuro rose onto her back legs her claws going to parry the blow with her own form of steel. Though as she matched the strike she felt the prickle of her tail one of them hitting the bone in her paw and she winced, grinding her teeth. "If only it was that easy.?"

Obscuro suddenly twisted, her entire body spinning and ducking. The beast lunched for the other's underbelly. Not ripping- just pushing them back. Trying to pin the other under her so she could lean in and speak softly. "I wouldn't mind giving you a few details on her current whereabouts if you promise me a small favor in the future, nee?" Obscuro's manipulation days were over- she had told herself that. Yet there was some favors she needed for plans. This wasn't manipulation- it was planning.

  • //I apologize in advance for the length I didn't mean to write so much

Sel had accepted that Calla was probably dead, and if she wasn't, that their relationship was at least over. And you know, Sel was pretty good at moving on, at walking away from relationships of all kinds. But that didn't change the fact that Calla was Sel's first love (discounting her previous life with Ryan), and that love hadn't just stopped just because the relationship had.

"She didn't betray me." Sel snapped back. If anything, she was the traitor. She'd been a horrible girlfriend in the times when Calla wasn't there, and she hadn't tried to find or save her, though there was no way she could have. She couldn't track, let alone fast enough to get there in time. Calla couldn't see, and Sel couldn't smell. Together they might help each other, but apart they were useless. At least, that's how it felt, thinking about how she'd failed her love.

She was by no means bad with her cutlass. But she lacked formal training, she had no impressive titles or guilds to boast about, but in a way, that could work to her advantage. She didn't fight like a shinigami, she fought like a pirate, and a pirate was savage and unafraid of playing dirty.

Sel gritted her teeth, resisting the urge to smile as her blade bit into Obscuro's tail (or paw?). A small, worthless victory, an insignificant vengeance. She would take so much more. "I'm just getting started."

Then Obscuro was moving again, shoving her to the ground, on her back. Sel felt Amethyst dive clear, and while she knew it was better than landing on what was essentially a padded but sharp rock, she felt a little hint of betrayal as her companion leaped for safety, abandoning her. But she could hardly focus on that, not with Obscuro looming over her. She barred her teeth. "How about I don't leave RiverClan in flames and I kill you quickly instead of slowly? Good enough of a favor for ya?" Though it would be a lie if she said she wouldn't at least hear what the favor was. If it brought her back to Calla... could she really be sure she wouldn't do it? Even if it played to her and Calla's enemy's advantage?

Love makes you stupid. Blind. Angry. Desperate.

/omg no keep doing it- this is great. ^^

And Obscuro knew that, the other was still alive- still roaming, and calla? Well she had been trapped for a long time. it was only natural, grieving didn't last that long. Maybe it was her intention to drawl out that blame, see it flicker in the other;s eyes because she knew- she knew she couldn't kill Sel. She was too important. As much as she hated to admit it. She scorned the thought now. Self Destruction used to live in many clans- powerful clans. If Obscuro was lucky the other's almost nomadic life-style would be similar. She hopped, she dared to trust that look in the other's eyes because she couldn't bring herself to trust someone wholly. not again- never again.

Seeing that look of resentment brought forth a sombering notion. A wave that eased the edge of the beast. Something she had once crushed- she was- reassured. Grateful almost, the feeling she tried to crush came back with a vengeance and a low growl escaped the beast. No, sel wasn't Obscuro- she was so much different- she tried to be better. Instead of Obscuro. After loosing her love after loosing her children she accepted it- she did much worse. It made the wolf want to drag the other away from the battle- want to talk. To actually talk to someone about it. She crushed that thought a snarl ripped across her face. no- no stop it. You know better.

"I need your clan- I need your numbers. Not now but later." She wasn't sure how long this plot would take, days- months years. She hoped it wouldn't take that long. But this was a long running goal. Bright eyes turned black and when she raised her head to look in the other's eyes. "I'll come a day before I require it. we need to return to the battle." She leaped off suddenly and pawed at the ship under her, ducking her head like a bull about to charge

Geez, he'd been on a walk for what, twenty minutes, and already a full fight had broken out. How did they all even get to the border without him realizing? He really had to work on his sense of smell. Looking around the battlefield, Newt soon caught sight of Ryan standing near the riverbank. Pulling out his wand, the feline would attempt to throw a fireball in their direction, hopefully hitting the other in the chest. If this missed, it would most likely hit one of the boats behind them. Upon throwing the fireball, he quickly started casting 'accio', which would pull the other forward, where he would then try to slash at their ears.

  • It was true - Sel was quite the nomad, though she'd settled down a bit in the recent months, spending her time and energy leading the Skulls instead of gaining power in other Clans. When her reign ended she'd likely be back to that, but for now she was content where she was. That being said, she did have plenty of friends in the other Clans. Obscuro was also right not to trust Sel - no one should trust her wholly.

No, they really weren't that different. She didn't try to be better, she didn't try to fight the monster that she'd become. And when she was hurt, she tried to make someone else hurt instead. When she lost control, she tried to take control from someone else. She lost her memories getting tortured, and when she got them back she tortured a child to release the pain she felt. And after returning from WindClan and getting hurt because of her actions, after losing control, she turned it all on Ryan. Really, the only real difference between Sel and Obscuro was that the former did a better job hiding her treacherous side.

Sel barred her teeth at Obscuro. "Why the hell would I promise you my Clanmates? Especially without seeing Calla." Though the wheels in her head were turning, plotting. If Calla was still out there, Sel would find her. Then her opponent was leaping off of her, and she scrambled to her paws, glaring daggers at the other as she leveled her sword at Obscuro's chest. Her Gemat returned to her back, which made her feel a little better, though part of her wished Amethyst had just stayed somewhere safer.

"Fine by me." She spat, all too content to get back to battling. She lunged forward, bringing her blade forward in an attempt to cut at Obscuro's legs. She couldn't kill the other, especially if she knew where Calla was, but she could maim her and try to capture her.

Azure eyes narrowed and a grin stretched across crooked teeth. The other charged, and Obscuro jumped. Missing the attack for the most part- but her back left leg got a good slice across the tension. SHe felt her leg go limp and she aimed to recoil it by shoving her front paws on the back of sel's head as she jumped over.

"That's more like it, here i thought you didn't know how to use that thing" Obscuro grinned cheekily at her words. leaping of sel (if her attack missed, jumping over her) and twisting. Pivoting on her front paws instead of her back ones.

  • His eyes had been on Lucy/Sel, naturally, as she leaped into battle with someone she apparently knew, over someone else. He frowned, but didn't have time to ponder it, as he realized a fire ball was coming right at him. He tried to dodge, but it hit him square in the shoulder, searing his flesh. The spell "accio" however, didn't work since it didn't work on living things, and Ryan neither wore nor held anything for Newt to pull.

He hissed in pain - he'd been in plenty of fights, but no one threw fucking fireballs at him. He turned his glare to Newt - he wanted a fight, fine, he'd give him a fight. Ryan leaped forward, aiming to rake his claws down Newt's face. He'd fight through the pain for now, though this was unlike anything else he'd ever experienced.

The feline couldn't help but wince as the fireball hit, waiting for a couple of seconds before realizing he had messed up the second spell. Shoot, what was it again? Carpe Retractum? He barely had time to react as Ryan leaped forward, quickly stumbling back as claws raked against his cheek. The pain wasn't too bad compared to what other cat was going through, but it sure stung like hell. Ryan had also managed to knock away his wand with the attack, which left him at a disadvantage.

Not bothering to stop and think, Newt blindly launched himself at the other, aiming to headbutt them in the chest. Assuming this successfully stunned them, he would then attempt to race towards the spot where his wand had landed, hopefully grabbing it and releasing a jet of water in their direction.

  • Sel gave a small smile of victory. Anything that hurt Obscuro was good, in her eyes. Though, it was at the cost of Obscuro using her head as something to vault over. Spinning around, the feline bared her teeth. "Hardly." She was better practiced in her daggers, but for various reasons she'd chosen to bring her sword instead. "Either fight me or tell me where Calla is." Sel said, lunging forward once more and attempting to bring down the butt of her sword down on Obscuro's temple.
