Val smiled as Annie placed her hand on her cheek, and she saw the girl doing her best to stay positive, telling her that everything was going to be okay. She couldn't help but question if those words were true. Everything was going to be okay, but maybe not in the sense that she thought. Allison had ended dozens of lives, dozens of girls lives, and for what? She wasn't jealous of them at all. She was part of the most feared clique in the school, she was at the top. So why would she go so low as to almost end Val's life, of all people?
Allison already had a bad record, so why would she just add more fuel to the fire by endangering–possibly even ending–the life of another of the most well known girl in the school? Val let the thought sink to the back of her mind. Right now, all she needed was to sleep, but she felt like she had slept for an enernity, like death had given her a chance to catch up on the years of sleep she had missed, if only for a few minutes.
