    Annemarie (Annie) Lane Fox

    (Faceclaim: Shannon Rose)
    17 years old
    Five feet six inches
One hundred and twenty five pounds heavy

Annie has long (naturally) bleach blonde hair and bright green eyes. She has tan skin in the summer, but is pretty pale otherwise.

Annie (muse B/ wallflower) is extremely shy, and has never had many friends. She would love to be partying and hanging out with people, bring an extrovert, but she can never bring herself to speak to strangers. She is very bubbly and kind once you get her to open up to you. She loves giving, and being given, compliments of all kinds. Annie has very bad social anxiety, and a very bad self image. She loves everyone she meets, but she can't seem to love herself.

Also, I don't know why the picture is so huge omfg

    Valerie (Val) Hope Moore

    (Faceclaim: Lucy Hale)

    17 years old

    Five foot seven inches

One hundred and twenty one pounds

Val has long and wavy brown hair that falls past her shoulders and light brown eyes that often have either darker flecks of brown or even light shades of green or blue when under the right light. Her skin is relatively pale despite her constantly being outside

Valerie (muse a/popular) is very outgoing and social. She is never afraid to put herself out there and speak her mind. When she is with her friends, they often go out to party and stay up past midnight. She's the planner of their group, always the one to make sure everything is order. When she is alone, however, the opposite occurs. She is shy and introverted, but still enjoys talking to people. She's willing to make friends with jut about anybody, despite her status.

  • Cool I can start then :)) Also I usually play a character named Lily so sorry if I switch the names by accident at some point!

Annie was walking down the halls. She had three heavy textbooks in her arms, and two in her backpack. She didn't like to use her locker, because it was in between these two popular girls who constantly criticized her, whether it was for her book smarts or overall appearance they always had something mean to say. Annie was violently taken out of thought as a massive should bumped into hers, hard. She dropped her books everywhere. Classic. The guy snickered at her. "Watch where you're going, freak." He said before walking away. What did she ever do to deserve this? She was kind, and had enough love in her sensitive heart to spread a little all over the entire school, but she was smart. You can't get good grades and be popular, apparently.

Annie felt tears threatening to spill as she silently bent down to pick up her books from the ground. She closed her eyes and stood up straight, books in arm, and continued to class. Maybe today would get better. Or maybe it would just get worse.

  • It's perfectly okay!

Valerie stifled a yawn as she walked down the hallway, her pale hands wrapped around the textbooks in her hand, her phone at the top of the pile. The girl hadn't gotten much sleep last night due to her 'late night study group' with her friends, who she greeted warmly as she passed them. Other students, girls and guys alike, stared at her as she brushed past them, and she couldn't fight the smile growing on her face. There was that feeling in her gut that told her this was wrong, that she shouldn't drown in this glory, but it was their final year in this hellhole. Nothing bad was going to happen.

The brunette's suspicion was proved wrong when she saw someone shove a blonde girl, causing her books to drop on the floor, the guy hissing a threat to her before stalking off. Valerie watched as the girl picked her books off the floor and hurried to her class. The girl managed to catch up to her after giving the guy who had bumped into the blonde a dirty look. She saw the tears the girl was holding back, and she placed a gentle hand on her shoulder, doing her best to thing of a conversation starter. "H-hey, I'm sorry I wasn't there to help you, I hope you're okay after that. I'm Valerie, but most people call me Val."

  • Annie looked up at the girl, Val, who had placed her hand softly on her shoulder. Val's hand was so warm, and soft. Not to mention the tingles vibrating throughout her shoulder. Annie had never really dated, and hadn't discovered her sexuality yet. In this moment, though, her only thought was that she would love to be in a relationship with this girl. Though she found guys attractive, she never envisioned herself dating them. Maybe it was the kindness Valerie was showing that was so attractive to Annie.

"I'm.. I'm okay. It happens a lot.." She said shyly, pushing her hair behind her ear. She looked down at the ground, her cheeks heating slightly. She did get pushed around now and then, but she wasn't used to it. That's why her eyes were watering. Why do you have to be so sensitive? You're embarrassing yourself! She thought, criticizing herself. She quickly wiped away a tear from her eye, and looked back over to Val.

"It's nice to know not everyone in this school hates me.." She said forcing out a slight chuckle as fidgeted with her fingers, still tightly holding onto the textbooks.

-for some reason I'm not getting the notification for this thread, so sorry if I take a while!-

  • it's okay! I'm not really getting notifications either, but I'll try to fix it

Valerie smiled as Annie said that her getting pushed around was normal for her. Well, it clearly isn't if she's crying after it happens. She watched further as the blonde let out a forced chuckle after she stated that it was nice to know that not everyone hated her. To Val, she couldn't even see why people hated her. So far, she was kind, sweet, and otherwise not what someone would see walking down the hallways. Usually, they would see the students bringing booze and drugs to use during lunch, and the teachers said next to nothing about it.

As she continued to look at the blonde, she noticed a tear escaping her eye, but watched as Annie wiped it away and fidgeted with her fingers. "Yeah, people here can be assholes. It happens just about every day..," she commented, but was swiftly cut off by the PA system going off–everyone needed to report to their classes immediately, since something came up concerning the seniors. Val looked at Annie, slight fear in her eyes, her mind trying to think of what classes she had the blonde in. "We need to hurry. You have History now, right?"

  • -I'll be reposting via my phone for a while-

Annie adjusted the books on her hip. "Y-Yeah, that's right.." She said looking forward down the almost empty hallway. She could see the classroom door about thirty feet away. She wasn't worried. She was a bit of a teachers pet, and never got tardy marks. She thought about it in her head, and remembered she had history with Val. All she did in class was.. class. So she didn't really notice her classmates.

Annie picked up her speed a bit, not wanting to leave Val behind, but not wanting to be too late to class. She peered inside the room as the teacher stood from his desk to begin the lesson. He looked at the door, and smiled slightly and nodded towards Annie's chair, signalling that she should take a seat. He finally noticed Val behind and looked back to board to start speaking. "Thanks for walking with me." She mumbled gratefully to Val before walking to her seat, noticing the guy who bumped her earlier giving her a dirty look from the back row as she sat down.

  • alright, no worries!

Valerie walked at a bit of a distance from Annie, but not because she didn't want to walk with the girl. She did, it was just the taunts she heard from behind her: Hey Val, I didn't know you were a suck-up; what are you doing walking with that low-life?; funny, I thought you were the babe magnet of the school, not a bitch magnet. Of course, the brunette ignored them, since she couldn't let them get to her, or Annie. They were just one mishap in the day. They didn't mean anything.

By the time she got to the classroom, the teacher had given Annie a nod toward her seat, and only acknowledged Val to a small degree before looking back at the board. Annie's voice sounded in her ears, and she smiled. "Anytime, Annie. If you need anything again, just let me know," she whispered before she took her seat, which was opposite's of Annie's, but not by much. The other girl she often talked to but wasn't friends with, Nicole, wasn't in her seat. It was unusual; the girl had always been the first one in class, and she never missed a day of school all four years. What was going on?

Then, she remembered what the PA had said: an incident last night on school grounds, and all seniors must be on high alert, and never go anywhere, on or off the school grounds, alone. She shuddered. Surely the teacher was going to cover that, he wasn't going to let it just fly over everyone's heads.

  • Annie sat down in her chair and placed the textbooks on the ground and took her history book out of her bag. She opened it up to the page she knew they'd be working on today and leaned back in her chair. A student, male and likely a school athlete, walked into class late and walked by Annie. He kicked her stack of books and they fell askew around her desk. She sighed and picked them back into the pile.

"Dylan, apologise and take your seat." He said frowning at the student. "Whatever." He mumbled walking to the back row. Annie scoffed and sat up. She pushed her blonde hair back over her shoulder and pulled out a pencil.

I wonder who went missing.. hasn't there already been a few disappearances? Whatever. She thought to herself, not really listening to the teacher's lecture.

  • Valerie mirrored the actions of every student there in the class, and she heard a crash near her–it was only some jerk who knocked over Annie's things, and the girl saw him just walked away despite the teacher demanding him to apologize. Bastard. As luck would have it, Dylan sat three rows behind her, but she knew that he wouldn't mess with her–he couldn't. If he did, the authorities would be all over him. Well, not necessarily in that sense, but he would face consequences. Hell, that was for every student, not just her.

Val was half listening to the lesson, and it seemed like most of the other kids were doing the same, when the PA went off once again after there was a noise–or two noises–not too far off, perhaps in a different room or floor: Pardon the interruption, but it seems like there's been yet another issue early this morning, involving the famed captain of the football team and the head cheerleader., both seniors Classes will be cut short, with an early dismissal at 1:30 instead of 4:00.

She instantly felt the atmosphere in the room change drastically, but the teacher continued the lesson, despite the tension that was consistent until the first class had ended. As soon as the teacher dismissed the students, everyone rushed out the door, but there was no screaming when Val gathered her things and headed over to Annie, as they were the only two left in the classroom. "What do you think that was about?"

  • Annie stood up as they were dismissed. She didn't bother hiding her worry, she had no one to hide it from. She slumped her bag over her shoulder and picked up her books. She turned to the door, but saw Val walking in her direction. Valerie's voice rung in her ears as she processed the question. Annie didn't know. "I have no idea..." She said quietly, her heart racing. She knew that girls were going missing, but what happened to the football player. He was probably pretty buff, and athletic. No way anyone would kidnap him.. unless they were.. stronger.

Annie shrugged off the thought and turned her attention back to Val. "It's probably nothing. It's not like the freaking captain of the football team went missing or anything..." She tried to say confidently, but she was almost shaking she was so nervous. "L-Let's just go. I don't want to be alone here..." She said adjusting her bag before walking towards the exit. She was already opening up to Val. Every time she spoke she felt less and less shy.

Did Val want to be her.. friend? It was a miracle. A phenomenon Annie had never herself experienced. Val was popular. This had to be some sort of joke. A bet maybe. Annie shouldn't let herself become too close to her. She was dangerous. Her and her whole clique. Right?

  • Valerie nodded at Annie's words; she could sense the uncertainty and nervousness in her body, and the brunette guessed that she looked pretty terrified as well. "Yeah, it's probably nothing," she agreed, though she felt herself doubting her words. The football player was everything the students looked up to, the goal of everyone there. Him being kidnapped, possibly killed, sent a shiver down her spine. Letting the thought slip from her mind, she followed Annie to the exit, stepping out into the hallways, which were deathly silent. There was no laughter or conversation to break the quiet that engulfed them.

Val turned to Annie, and she smiled slightly. It was weird, never once in her life had she talked to her, but she felt like Annie was beginning to trust her, to open up to her. Maybe they could be friends once this whole ordeal was over. Maybe they could be more than that, Val wasn't sure.

  • Annie walked towards the exit, staying close to Val. She lived a good half hour walk from the school, and didn't want to go alone. Annie hated going on the bus. It was worse than school itself. The bus driver didn't care about what the students were saying to each other at all. She got bullied, one time someone grabbed her butt walking to her seat. Annie could drive, but not without a car. She wondered about calling an uber, but decided she didn't want to be in the car with a stranger.

"D-Do you have a car?" She quietly asked Val. She hoped the other girl would understand why she wanted a ride, but Annie would get it if Val didn't want to be seen giving her a ride. She was popular, after all, and had a reputation to keep.

  • Valerie picked up on Annie's question, and she pondered it for a second. She did have a car, courtesy of her father, but she rarely ever used it except for going to school. Not wanting to disappoint the blonde, she nodded before catching the eye of one of her clique members, Allison Rhodes. Ali was a year older than the brunette, and despite Val's position, it seemed as if the redhead hated her from the moment she crossed into the school. She glared at Val before she glanced over at Annie, and the death stare became crueler than before. It was enough to cause Val to freeze in her tracks right as they reached the exit.

At least, that was until she felt her phone buzz in her pocket, and she shook herself out of her daze when she saw four text messages from her older brother: I heard about the students that went missing; I hope you weren't one of them; Val?; Please, Val, answer me. The brunette glanced up at Annie, opening the door for her and leading her to her car, making sure she was right behind her as she unlocked the door when they got there. She typed up a response as she let Annie get in first. Relax, Tyler. I'm not dead yet. I'm dropping off someone, since she needed a ride. I'll see you in about half an hour. As soon as she sent the text, she slipped into the drivers seat, putting her phone back in her pocket.

  • Annie followed Val to her car. "I can't thank you enough for you kindness today, Val.." she said shyly sitting in the passenger seat. She didn't really want Val to see where she lived. It was an old and run down house. One story. She and her mom lived there, though her mom was very mean to her and often not home. She shrugged off the thought. She didn't need to impress Val. Annie just wasn't impressive. Her life was just as ugly as.. well herself.

"The address is 2278 maple dr. It's a pretty gross house... you won't miss it.." she said pointing to the right. "I hope it's not too out of your way." She said more quietly.

  • As Val pulled out of the school's parking lot and onto the road, she followed where Annie was pointing, and made sure to put her signal before turning. Once she did, her phone went off again, but she kept her eyes on the road. "You're welcome, Annie. And trust me, it's no big deal. I'm not one of those kids that would gladly just leave you out on the curb," she said with a small laugh, glancing over at Annie for a second.

What she said was true; just because she was popular and had a reputation didn't mean that she'd leave others to fend for themselves. Especially now, when protection meant everything. As long as nothing happened, to Annie, other students, or even herself, everything would be fine.

In a few minutes, Val spotted maple drive to her right, and quickly turned until she was in front of the address 2278. She put the car in park before turning to Annie, running a hand through her dark hair. "Well, we're here. I'll see you tomorrow, okay?"

ooc;; small edit: right now, a side plot I'm thinking of is that maybe something could happen to either Annie or Val (I'm thinking more of Val) the next day or two days after, and the other would have to find them?

  • -that sounds fun :)-

Annie's cheeks flushed with heat as she stepped out of the car onto the cracked concrete. "Y-Yeah.. see you tomorrow." She said flashing her a smile. She usually hoped her mom was gone, but today she crossed her fingers she wouldn't be alone in her house for the night. "U-Umm.." Lily muttered under her breath as she reached into her backpack's pocket and pulled out a pencil and a paper scrap. "H-Here's my number. Just in case.. I guess." She said quickly before handing Val the scrap before turning and walking to the front door.

Annie opened the unlocked door, and flashed Val another grateful smile before closing and locking the door. She set her backpack on the scuffed up coffee table and went around the house locking all of the windows and doors, just in case. Annie tended to be a bit paranoid. Especially considering she seemed to be this serial kidnapper's target victim. She sighed once she had finished and sat down on the couch. They didn't have cable at her house, just netflix. So Annie turned on some Family Guy to ease her nerves a bit.
