    Aiko Swetz

Aiko was sitting in the waiting room of the hospital, a bunch of things spinning in his head. He was sure why, but he did know that a stranger had drank his drink and then the next thing that he knew, they were in the E.R. Aiko didn't know what to think about it. It was like it all happened so quick. Here's what happened.

Aiko was sitting in the bar, drinking away the sorrows from his bad break up with his former boy friend. It was like he hadn't turned a wya from his drink for that long, but just as he went to drink it, this odd man just drank it. It took a moment to kick in, but then he just felt nauseated, and then he was on the floor. And just like that, they were in the E.R. The only reason the boy had stayed, is because he felt that this was somehow his fault. He was blaming himself, as he always did, since he was normally blamed anyways.

As the boy was sitting around and trying to figure out what was going on, a nurse came out. "Sir, _____ will be fine. It seems your drink was spiked with a roofie. You should be very careful, you know? This could have easily been you." The nurse warned, and Aiko nodded frantically. He handed the nurse some flowers, and a card with his contact information in it.

"Could you give this to him? I wanna say thanks, but I have to get home. It's awful late." He asked, and the nurse nodded and walked off to give the other the flowers and card from Aiko. Aiko was extremely grateful, and he just couldn't stop thinking about this man, but he tried to, as he didn't want anything like his last break up to happen again.

  • Leocadie Mercier

Leo rested his head in his hands holding back a sigh as he listened to the sound of liquid gold being poured into his glass for the fifth time. He was rightfully light-headed and yet no closer to forgetting the tiring day he had just had. In his pocket his pone buzzed and he ignored it, no dealing with her tonight. He finally emerged from his hands and returned a reluctant smile to the curious bartender. The man asked him if he'd had a bad day and not trusting himself to speak he'd nodded sipping his drink at the same time. It was then he took notice of the young boy beside him, or his drink and the stranger who'd just dropped the small white pill in it ad retreated away from the bar.

It was easy to see that the guy beside him was half his size and he doubted the drugger had taken into account body size when he made that dose. He acted quickly, drunkenly and grabbed the drink downing it entirely like a shot. He gagged at the taste and went for his own drink as if it would rinse his mouth out. The cute guy who owned the drink looked surprised but seemed even more surprised when Leo crashed from his stool and balanced on the balls of his feet clutching his stomach. He realized then he probably should've just said something or put his hand over the drink.

"M'sick." He mumbled before falling unconscious, thinking for the brief moment his fall allowed him to clearly see the others face that. I totally get why they choose him. Cute.

Leo woke up in the hospital at the sound of the nurse entering his room and setting a vase on his bedside table. He rubbed his eyes and looked at her. She smiled brilliantly, "the boy who brought you in got them for you and this card."

Leo quickly tried to make sense of things, the alcohol was still affecting his train of thought. The image of the other burned in his mind and he knew that he didn't want this to be their final meeting. He grabbed the card folding the bottom and tearing of a strip he was wearing hospital clothes but his clothes were beside him on the chair, he grabbed his pen from his pocket and quickly his number on the paper along with a quick note, 'if you ever want to thank me in person'

He turned to the nurse and handed it to her, "do you think you could give this to him."

The woman frowned and looked thoughtful. "He said he was going home when he gave me this stuff but I'll see if I can catch him outside." She hurried out and Leo thanked whoever had given him such a kind nurse. He hoped that she made it in time.

  • Just as he was about to walk out of the door, the nurse caught up to him. Aiko was a bit surprised by what he was handed. He bit his tender lip slightly, sighing. He gave a nod of thanks to the nurse, before he took his leave, and left the hospital ground. He continued to look at the note before he pulled his hood over his head, placing the note in his jacket pocket as it began to rain.

When Aiko got home, his mind still wondered to the other. He had only heard his name from the nurse. Something like Leocadie. He took the note out of his pocket, and was very tempted to call the number but he decided against it. He placed the number on the counter in his small apartment, taking off his wet jacket, and going in his room and falling asleep quickly.

The next morning, Aiko was up, cooking himself a small breakfast. He grabbed the slip of paper that he had left on the counter, nervously biting his lip. He wanted to call the male to thank him, but then again he wasn't too sure what he wanted to do. Taking a leap of faith, he dialed up the number. He felt his heart rate speed up, and he just hoped he wasn't hyperventilating.

  • Leo spent a few more hours at the hospital while the drugs (and his drinks) left his system. Before long he had fallen asleep again and was woken by the day nurse saying it was fine for him to go when he was up to it. After a final check up Leo dressed in the clothes from the night before and made his way home. When he arrived he quickly showered and changed into a more comfortable set of clothes instead of his work clothes. He called in sick and lay down on the couch, whatever drug had been used left him feeling groggy and with a slight headache. He wanted coffee.

A quick search of his cupboards revealed only disappointing decafe, he tossed it away, it wasn't like she would be coming over to drink it anyway. Then he searched around for tea or some other hot drink and finding nothing grabbed the red Gatorade he'd bought for his hangover and sulked back to his couch. He flicked open his phone, answered a few texts and work emails and checked for any missed calls. None. He couldn't help but feel disappointed and tossed the phone to the side.

He was about to turn on his TV when it rang. He jumped for it, though he didn't know if it was Aiko, the name that had been on the card, or just another work buddy. Unknown Number. He slid the green button and put it up to his ear. "Hey, it's Leo. Are you the guy from the other night, uh... Aiko?" He tested the name worried he had it wrong. He was happy the other had called but wasn't sure what to do. Maybe Aiko wanted to go out for coffee?

  • Aiko cleared his throat, biting his thumb slightly before speaking. "Um.. yeah.. hey..um. I just wanted to.. um.. thank you in person. So, maybe we can meet at the coffee shop down the street from that bar..? I mean.. if that's okay with you." Aiko said, with the smallest bit of hope in his slightly feminine voice. The boy slightly cursed at himself, as he knew that he sounded like a very nervous child. Rolling his eyes at his childish demeanor, Aiko awaited the answer from the boy, and once he answered he gave a cheerful reply, before hanging up.

Aiko quickly finished his breakfast, before getting in the shower, getting ready for the coffee date, though he wouldn't call it a date necessarily. He put on his sweater, and his nice jeans before he walked out of his house, and down the street to the coffee shop.

  • Leo couldn't help but smile at the other voices palpable nervousness, it was cute. He was pleasantly surprised to find that they were on the same train of thought when it came to mornings and coffee. "That sounds great actually. I'm about twenty minutes away so take your time getting ready if you're not already. Thanks for calling, I half thought you wouldn't" After goodbyes were exchanged and Leo had hung up he started to get ready. He grabbed a bran muffin to munch on and changed into jeans and a soft grey shirt. He was worried it would be to casual but figured it would be good for a coffee date. Or uhh... a not date coffee date.

He almost went and slicked back his hair, an almost unconscious daily preparation but stopped when he realized it would look odd with his casual outfit. Instead he fixed the blonde pieces into a neat but relaxed style before brushing his teeth. When he was finished getting ready he head for his door and slipped on his boots taking off down the street at a hurried pace. He was happy to finally arrive and even happier when the boy came into view. He waved as he approached, almost breathless from rushing. He joined Aiko at the table, taking the seat across from him with a smile. "Hey, nice to meet you sober." He joked, chuckling nervously. His drunk self had got one thing right, Aiko was very attractive.

// Leo is going to save Aiko from something else right? Did you have any idea what that was going to be? I was thinking it could be something like a car accident and when Leo gets hurt Aiko offers to help take care of him but I was wondering if you had another idea.

  • //sounds good actually. Sorry for the late reply. I've been gone from home//

Aiko sat down, giving a partial smile. "I just really wanted to thank you. I don't normally go out very much, so I just wanna thank you." The boy said, before ordering a small cup of tea. When it came back, he grasped the cuo, putting it up to his mouth, taking a drink. He purchased the cup back down. "So.. can I ask why?"

  • Leo waved to the waiter to get his order and was quickly given the life-saving black coffee his body craved. He smiled politely as Aiko spoke and as soon as the other sipped his drink he did the same to his. He mulled over the question while drinking, why had he done it? He had been drunk was a bad answer wasn't it. "I saw the guy put something in your drink and before I knew it I was downing it... I didn't want anything bad to happen to you. Though next time I'll just put my hand over the drink." He added with a soft smile. "What about you, what were you doing drinking all alone last night?"

//it's fine! did you wanna have the accident happen after they leave the coffee shop or later?

  • //after is fine!

Aiko graphed the cup tighter, clearing his throat slightly, before he set it down. His finger nervously rubber d the rim of the tea cup. "I just had a really bad break up..birdie was hoping to get rid of the pain so.. I drank." He said his cheeks being a flush red from embarrassment. He didn't like telling others why he did things, but telling someone that he was drinking to get rid of pain had to be one of the most embarrassing moments in this kids life.

  • "I understand the pain." Leo said solemnly, he had had his fair share of break ups. Though the most recent one had been with his best friend and not a lover. He smiled as the boy's face flushed red cutely. "So what do you do then, uh how old are you?" Leo asked, trying to initiate a normal conversation.

  • "I'm studying to become a CNA. I only have a few more months and I will be officially licensed. And I'm 22. I know I look younger. Umm. I actually will be 23 next week." He admitted with a small hum afterwards. He was used to not being called on his birthday. His ex, stopped calling on his birthday, and other holidays a few years before. After he found out that he was cheating, Aiko felt that he didn't need to let others no. He'd get a call from his mother, but that was it and sometimes it would be short. Aiko normally shrugged it off.

  • "Really, so soon. Do you have any plans made?" Leo asked, he loved celebrating. "I'm about a year older then I turned 24 about a month ago. I'm working at my father's office's, he owns some big businesses and all that boring stuff and I'm being made to work my way to the top. If you don't mind maybe we could get together for your birthday." He smiled as he spoke. It was exciting to get to know this person, especially since he found himself so enamored by them.
