Madam Marzi’s Safe Haven for Kits
In the gentle countryside, where the bluebirds sing and the clouds gently roll by, there is knowThe Haven consists of a large run-down farmyard with huge spaces for running. The main “camp” is the barn. It is a large three story barn with small ramps to get to and from each level. Hay is in abundant throughout giving the barn a warm, soft feel. Also in abundant are fat, juicy mice so the residents can eat healthy. n fact amongst the cats in this quaint neighborhood. It began many moons ago as just a rumor, but soon became apart of the local culture. But I’m getting ahead of myself. The tale goes like this- Many moons ago there was an old tom cat who lived in a large barn on one of the many farms that populated the land they knew as home. One day, that old tom came across a young she-kit, abandoned and alone. Out of kindness, he took in the kit, raising her as if she were his own. That kit eventually grew into a beautiful she-cat. That she-cat, so moved by the kindness payed to her as a kit promised to continue in her adopted father’s pawprints. She would take in lost and abandoned kits so that they too could have a love-filled life like she had. Today, Madam Marzi’s Safe Haven for Kits is a well-known landmark in the neighborhood. Thought she is no longer quite as young, Marzi still strives to help those in need with her son, Ice, and her other helpers by her side.
