    Newblood Queen yeah true, i didn't think of that. if it's okay, could I volunteer juno's dragon to possibly get injured? i think it would allow her character to develop more.

    also if anyone wants to plot with Juno she's open for it

    I'm ok with Emerald joining Tayama and maybe like fall for one of her soldiers if someone would be willing to play him, and like later realize she was wrong and try and get her love to go to the good side or something. Oh! What if Aspen and Shadow fall in love? Both being Night Furys and all, but because of Emerald turning to the bad side, they can't be together and end up being forced to fight against each other for their riders?

    I would volunteer Shiloh for injury too, but only if we need it. Perhaps the character turning to the 'bad side' is the one that hurts the other character's dragon? That would add for more drama.

    Ben would be super upset if Connor or Carter (or really anyone) turned btw

    Baratheon yeah I think Connor would possibly do that, though he'd regret it and hate himself for it, which would make for some fantastic character development anyway. Let's do it. Btw, Ben and Connor's bromance is everything rn XD

    Guys I just had the best idea. So Tayama must have some reason for wanting Berk and wanting to enslave dragons, beyond just for the hell of it. The alpha talk got me thinking, what if she IS after an alpha - Toothless. Toothless is an alpha and they have all kinds of special abilities. Let's say Toothless outlived Hiccup but was so devasted by the loss of his best friend that he went into deep hibernation, only to be woken up at a time of greatest need. Ever since, Hiccup's family has made it their mission to guard Toothless and Berk. This would be Ander's job right now. Tayama doesn't know where Toothless is but she is invading the Isles in an attempt to find him and force him to her will. This would then explain her motivation for turning Ander's team - trying to find out where Toothless hid to go into hibernation. Ander of course wouldn't tell the kids or at least not all of them. The kids will have to figure out how to wake up Toothless at the climax of the plot so he can help them stop Tayama by gaining control over her enslaved dragon army.

    Here's another bit I just had to raise the stakes even more. The kids would have been able to fall back on Ander for most of the story but what if he got captured or something around the climax so the teens had to find Toothless on their own and prove themselves to him. It would become a race to find Toothless as the dark side team tried to find Toothless first, while Ander would have to hold out as long as possible keeping Toothless's location secret from Tayama.
