Dawn

Name: Dawn Elizabeth Rollins

Age: 16

Gender: female

Personality: Dawn is more down-to-earth than most rich girls. She's quiet most of the time, being the artistic loner type, but still knowing how to have a good time. She loves animals, and is an activist for animal rights, as well as human rights, gay rights, and other things.

Background: Dawn grew up in a 'rich kid' neighborhood with her family, which consisted of her mother, father, and older brother, Carter. Her family had a.large amount of wealth, seeing as her father owned a music label. Of course, this kind of wealth meant that Dawn amd Carter were 'privileged kids', as outsiders would call them. They got anything they wanted, and had more than any teenager should actually need. She also attended a highly ranked public school for rich kids. Her family owns a large house, as well as two seperate twi car garages, one of which is connected to the guest house on the western side of the property.

Dragon: Pohku, a naturally-dark-red-skinned Changewing. She is easily spooked, whether it be by loud noises, surprises, or anything else, and she will normally blend her skin into her surroundings when this happens.

Other: She gets a weekly allowance of $2000, is a vegetarian, and is in a band called Dark Undertaker.

Carter

Name: Carter Elliott Rollins

Age: 18

Gender: male

Personality: Carter was, generally speaking, a positive person. He was friendly and adventurous, and typically saw the glass as being half full. He's naturally sporty, and a true outdoorsman, believing that nothing compares to being surrounded by nature. It's not unusual to catch him going for walks in the woods, or going on camping trips. However, even with his naturally positive outlook on life, he still has moments when he'll get into a bad mood. After he lost his voice, Carter became a bit more fragile, slipping more easily into anger or sadness at silly things. The worst is when he has to deal with miscommunication, such as when people can't sign or he has no one to interpret for him. This is because he feels that his inability to speak will always form a barrier between him and everyone else.

Background: Carter grew up in a wealthy family, alongside his younger sister Dawn. Of course, their large amount of money always caused them to be criticized by those from lower classes, but after a while, it didn't matter. When Carter was 13, he lost his voice. It wasn't caused by a sickness, or anything like that. He just woke up one day, and he couldn't speak. For a few months, Carter could only communicate by writing. After six months, though, the same doctor suggested they consider learning ASL, as an easier form for communication. With Carter at the age of fourteen, and Dawn being twelve, the entire family took separate ASL classes, to learn at their own pace. For the next two years after he lost his hearing, Carter was forced to stay home and take online classes, so as to avoid communication troubles at school. Around the time he was sixteen, he was returned to the same school as his sister, where he was given an interpreter to follow him during his classes.

Dragon: A Death Song named Melody, who he is drawn to because of her wings.

Other: his sister will probably interpret for him when she can. He can also use his phone, or a whiteboard he carries with him, to communicate.

Newblood Queen yay! also, do you have any mini plot ideas that involve conflict or something?

What if someone was seduced to the 'dark side'? Or maybe forced? Like, a character joins Tayama because she threatens their dragon or friends or whatever but the others just see it as a betrayal? It's a common plot in stories and stuff, but it might be interesting...

EDIT: How are the dragons going to come in?

i could only see Dawn joining if the lives of her friends/ humans, or the dragons, were on the line. Mainly due to her being a Human/Animal Rights activist.

ooo that idea sounds really cool! I could definitely see Juno doing it if makani or jasper were on the line. also, what if tayama had another alpha and tried to take control of all the dragons that way (similar to the scenario in the second movie)?
