    "So many people jump in to the military because they want to see the world or because they think it will be easy. Well, I don't think you'd want to see the world I saw and it is definitely not easy. I wish I'd never joined the Navy. You see, war isn't pretty. It isn't glitter and sparkles. It is the worst thing anyone could possibly have to deal with. I've lost many a friend in battle. I've been terrified out of my wits. I have seen so much blood. I've been shot at, bullets whizzing right by my face. I have seen so much death. However, now I must return. I have no choice but to go back into war," Private Roy Stephens told his daughter. Fortunately for him, he died the next day of a heart attack.


    Plot: You are in the war for some reason. Many of you have been drafted. Others have enlisted for various reasons. However, you are all about to see the curse that is war. I will be playing the daughter of Private Stephens and we will create our own war. We represent the United States. Our enemy is the Russians. Islam is still a major threat, though they are also incapacitated. Muslim countries are at a cease fire with the U.S., but who knows when the cease fire will end. Oh, and North Korea, China, and Vietnam are major threats who've allied with the Russians. Fortunately, the Japanese and the U.K. have allied with the U.S. and are joining them in the war.

    Appearance: Shinobu is a little short, but she is still formidable. Her physique is hardy and military-standard. Being of east-asian descent (she is Japanese), her hair is is black and her eyes are dark brown. She takes care to tidy her appearance when she can. On the exterior, Shinobu has a very friendly, approachable aura.

    Personality/History: Shinobu willingly enlisted in the army with a sense of naive idealism about the role of a combat medic in the war, and her brother's draft into the naval forces also pushed her into becoming a servicewoman. Shinobu is a rather clumsy, newly-trained combat medic with a great dose of naivety about the true horrors of war. Before her first mission, she was generally a light-hearted, humorous individual, but two or three missions afterwards were enough to mentally afflict Shinobu to a large extent. Unfortunately, the sight of killings and the stress that comes with being a combat medic in the middle of a battlefield traumatized her. The death of her brother also greatly wounded her.

    Shinobu is determined to obscure/overcome her war-induced anxiety and wishes continue serving in the war for the sake of her ideals, the war effort, and her brother's sacrifice, and as such she is terrified of being medically discharged for her psychiatric illness (PTSD/anxiety). A great liar and actress, she is doing everything she can to (on the exterior, at least) cover-up her PTSD and anxiety---which, obviously, isn't easy at all. (her personality will be more developed as the RP goes on!)

    Class: Japanese Army (Japan Ground Self-Defense Force) Combat Medic

    Crush/Bf/Gf: She is a lesbian. She currently has no crush nor partner.

    Other:

    - I think it would be very interesting/cause a lot of drama plot-wise if she and Hannah were to meet and form a romantic relationship in the midst of the war.

    - Shinobu knows enough English to be able to communicate with American and British soldiers. That is to say, however, that her English is very far from perfect, but working with allied forces has taught her a fair deal of English.

    EDIT: Also, could we do the plottage thing (suggested within the 'other' section of Shinobu's form, I believe) where Hannah and Shinobu eventually fall for each other? I think it would be awesome!
